This comfortable family home is situated on a large estate and is surrounded by vineyards and forests.The villa enjoys beautiful views of the countryside and the town below. It is central location makes for easy day trips to places like Cinque Terre, Portofino, Lucca, and Florence. The owner's helpful house book has many suggestions for things to do. She is American and has tried to make her villa a home away from home for her compatriots and all others to enjoy.
The villa dates back to the early 1900s, and has many antique furnishings, paintings, and interesting memorabilia. The villa has recently been partially refurbished maintaining many of the original features but offering some modern conveniences and larger living spaces for bigger groups to enjoy wining and dining both indoors and outdoors. A large patio has been equipped with comfortable furnishings where most guests end up spending the most of their vacation relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere. The back lawn is also very spacious and a great place for children to run about.
