Location: Allyn, Olympic Peninsula & Pacific Coast, Washington State, USA (Allyn is 5-mi. west of Belfair and 20-mi. west of Bremerton)
Accommodations: House, 4 Bedrooms + Den, 2 Baths (Sleeps 10-12)
Keywords: House, Waterfront, Oceanfront, Puget Sound, South Sound, Washington
Come and visit Case Inlet, the most pristine waterway of South Puget Sound, and find our cozy waterfront cottage waiting to embrace you. Newly restored, the house is 1760 square feet, with four bedrooms and two baths. Oak floors and trim, beautiful rugs and photographs, tiled countertops and a slate fireplace surround are some of the details that make the cottage an inviting place to spend your vacation.
Whimsical tropical fish, trellises and a view of the bay through an arched gate greet you upon entering the fenced property. The kitchen, dining room and living room are all open to the water view. A three level deck adds to the living space. The hot tub provides an outstanding view of Case Inlet. After a soak you can spend time on the comfortable chaise lounges or have lunch under the wisteria. Serve your guests at the outdoor bar. The beach is just twenty steps from the deck across the landscaped yard. Enjoy the fire pit and Adirondack chairs at waters edge.
Low tide reveals an immense beach for exploring, clam digging and collecting a few oysters to barbecue for dinner. The bay is great for water sports. It is warm enough in the summer, by Northwest standards, for a quick dip. Bring your power boat, kayaks, windsurfers, and fishing gear. Kayak rentals are available just down the beach. Three salmon runs bring fish right in front of the house in the fall. Watching the salmon jump and splash is an amazing site!
The kitchen is well stocked to meet your food preparation needs. The large island has four chairs for casual dining. A long countertop next to the dining room is perfect for a buffet setup. The dining room table can seat eight or more people and a second table can be set up for additional guests. The comfortable upholstered chairs, stained glass chandelier and the view provide a memorable setting for meals.
The living room has a wide-screen HDTV and DVD with surround sound. An upstairs bedroom has a TV with DVD/VCR, books, games, videos, and two full size futon sofa beds. Kids can claim this room while the adults are downstairs.
The Case Inlet view from the master bedroom on the second floor is exquisite. Curling up in the comfortable queen bed or on the love seat in this room, with a warm drink and a book will define the word "vacation"! The third upstairs bedroom has a full size bed. The upstairs has some areas of low headroom. One bedroom with a queen bed is located on the main floor.
The house is located in the center of this small town and everything you might need is within a few minutes walk of your door. You can stroll down the beach to a waterfront restaurant and sports bar, and just a bit further to the Allyn Waterfront Park, pier and dock (moorage available). Buy an espresso, a meal or groceries and return to your private retreat.
Explorations by water from Allyn include Fair Harbor Marina, Stretch, and Treasure Islands, Pickering Passage, Olympia, and points beyond. The book South Puget Sound Afoot and Afloat is a great guide to the area. The 27-hole Lakeland Village Golf Course is minutes away. Other great courses including Trophy Lakes and Gold Mountain are within a thirty minute drive. The area is known for it's ATV trails, nearby lakes, and access to the Olympic Peninsula, Olympic National Park, and Hood Canal. The cities of Belfair, Shelton, Gig Harbor and Bremerton are nearby for additional shopping and dining opportunities. Belfair has a large waterfront nature preserve with walking trails. You can drive to Seattle (90 minutes) via Tacoma or take a 20-mile drive to Bremerton and a spectacular, 55-minute ride on the Washington State Ferry System directly to downtown Seattle.

Why the Owner Chose Allyn
I love South Puget Sound, the Allyn community where I have made dear friends, and the small town setting for my vacation rental. Case Inlet is gorgeous. In the summer the water warms up due to the shallow bay. There are three salmon runs in the Fall. Having a home on a beach was a dream come true. I love to come work on the house and enjoy the beach.

We spent Memorial Day weekend with our sons and their families here and it was a very good time. Oysters were some of the largest we'd ever seen. My grandaughter caught her first fish right off the beach behind the house. On Memorial Day we walked to the city park for the service which was well done, 21 gun salute, lots of veterans sharing stories then a stop at the North Bay Kayaks & Kones for some delicious ice cream and milk shakes. The home is very comfortable, neighbors very helpful. The hot tub was a big hit with all the grandchildren. Definately worth returning to.

This was my second visit to this home, along with my girlfriends, and we had a WONDERFUL time. The house is cozy and comfortable, and CLEAN!! The neighbors are super, and the owner was wonderful to deal with. It just doesn't get any better. The view is beautiful, and we were able to sit outside and enjoy the deck and hot tub on our visit. Am already trying to think of an occasion to back and visit. This is a great find!!

Just returned from a vacation at this beautiful home. We loved every minute. The property was meticulously clean. The next door neighbors helped us out with umbrellas - when we attended a rainy wedding. We were so thankful for that! The hot tub is awwwwwwesome and the beach walks were spectacular. Sand dollars by the hundreds.... Cannot imagine a better experience. Thank you for making this possible!

My husband & I along w/ our 3 kids ages 12,9, & 5 were coming from Idaho to stay w/ my sister who lives only 20 minutes from this GORGEOUS BEACH FRONT HOME. We decided to stay w/ her & her family for a week for our family vacation this summer, yet still wanted a little time as a family 1st. So when we found this house we were so excited. It was PERFECT....and I'm telling you the pictures do this house NO JUSTICE WHAT-SO-EVER! WE LOVED LOVED LOVED it. The couple next door take care of the home for the owners & their just isn't a nicer couple around. Its so quite & peaceful, yet lots to do w/out even leaving the property. The house was SPOTLESS when we arrived. ITS THE PERFECT PLACE TO VACATION. We're already talking about coming back. Hhmmmmm....maybe even w/out the kids next time. =D Thanks a ton!!! P.S. Just a quick note to tell you how perfect this place is...Like I said, my sister and her family live in the gorgeous town of PORT ORCHARD just 20 minutes away. Her & her family drove over for a couple of hours when we 1st got there to say a quick Hello. Her husband & her have lived in Port Orchard now for 8 years & even they who are SURROUNDED by this part of Washingtons beauty...said this was an AMAZING place to stay & then later over heard her & my brother-in-law talking about how they should rent this house for a weekend get-away! AGAIN....They live 20 minutes away! GORGEOUS!!! =D

This place was wonderful! Everything they said it would be - and more! Clean, and well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The view is wonderful. Loved watching the blue herons out on the beach. I would definitely recommend this property to friends. It was a relaxing, quiet weekend. We never wanted to leave the rental house. We had everything we needed right there. Hope to return again some day. The owner was great to work with, and the neighbors were charming as well!!

Our family spent 5 nights and would gladly have stayed two weeks. We all hated to leave. The house was nicely decorated and outfitted and had everything we needed. It was comfortable and cozy and had more space than we could use. The views of the Sound were unobstructed and beautiful. Our teenage sons barely watched TV, did not turn on the computer or video games that they would typically do at home. Instead they canoed, went clamming, crabbing, fished, and explored the beach. We had smores from the fire pit every night and did lots of laughing. This was our first trip to Allyn and Puget Sound, but it won't be our last.

We have a Super-Bowl-get-away weekend each year with 2 other couples. This year, the house I was 'told' was reserved for us..suddenly became 'double-booked'. So at the very last minute we found this place, and boy are we glad we did!!! It was so comfortable, cozy, and peaceful. The weather was gorgeous, which added to our enjoyment of the beach and the view. The late-night hot-tubbing on the beach was a delightful feature. Everything about this house is designed for ease and comfort. And when you drive in and close the gate...it's like you're in your own little world! And may I say...the owner is one of the nicest people you would ever want to work with. If I were to 'grade' this vacation home...it would get Straight A's!!

This is a very nice well furnished house. The kitchen has all the utensils and appliances necessary. It was very comfortable for our party of seven and is fairly centrally located for most things in the Puget Sound area. We enjoyed our stay here very much. Don

I stayed here for a weekend girl's retreat with my mom, sister, and some of my close friends. We loved the view, the atmosphere in the house, the roomy and homey space, the tasteful decor, and wonderful photographs. Our favorite experience, of course, was brewing in the hot tub while gazing out over the water at all the beautiful lights! We also enjoyed the very friendly small town that had everything you need in walking distance. This was definitely a great choice for a relaxing weekend away! We will definitely remember this getaway for the future. Thanks! :)
