Wonderful Spring Break

Our family spent a great week at Casa Mariposa for spring break. Our college aged daughters and a few friends spent a quiet and relaxing time wandering the streets of Puerto Adventuras and laying by the pool. The house is exactly as described in the information. It is very clean, well maintained and spacious enough for everyone to enjoy each other and have some privacy. All of the other reviews have mentioned and we concur that the breakfasts were one of the highlights of the trip. This is the first time we have had a cook on a trip and it was fabulous. Melodie, the property manager is very attentive and gracious. She made sure we had everything we needed for a wonderful week. We recommend renting a golf cart (Melodie can arrange this for you). We used it everyday to drive around the town. The house is well located and attractive and the catered food is OUTSTANDING!

My wife and I stayed at Casa Mariposa with two other couples and had truly enjoyed our stay. The view was amazing, the staff went out of their way to accommodate us and the location was convenient to all the activities in Puerto Aventuras. We will definitely be back!

Marvelous, absolutely marvelous! My girlfriends and I, 10 of us total, rented Casa Mariposa for the bride to be's bachelorette party. We had a fantastic time! Last time we all took a trip was for one of my other friends bachelorette party and we went on a cruise to Cozumel from Florida. Hands down this was far better than being stuck on a boat with loads of people and the restaurants that serve blah food. Okay, back to why our stay at the villa was marvelous - words really can not describe it but to fill you in on a little details, here we go: the place is decorated like no other - the owners have taste, the beds were like clouds and smelling the freshly preppared breakfast in the morning was the only reason I wanted to get up from pure relaxation. We sunbathed poolside, snorkeled from the house, partied in Playa Del Carmen till late and indulged in the spa services in the jungle place across the street. We are all talking about who is next to get engaged and be able return to do it all over again. What a remarkable experience like no other.

My husband and I wanted to treat our in-laws with a vacation to Mexico where we would not only have the Mexico experience but also be treated like guests. Casa Mariposa is a delightful house with a cozy Mexican decor that will put you at ease. Our family loved each room and enjoyed the atmosphere of the house for its' elegance and location. We were also quit surprised by the gourmet chef who cooked some fabulous breakfasts. It was a real treat to be served every morning with delicious coffee, french toast, and fresh local fruit. Puerto Adventuras is also a hidden gem. We never thought we would find a little community right on the beach with cute restaurants and shops were you also feel extremely safe. The beaches here are breath taking. There is plenty of snorkeling and sight seeing to do around Casa Mariposa. There is even a cute bar on the beach that serves the best mojitos that I have ever had the opportunity to drink. Our family loved this vacation and loved Casa Mariposa. I highly recommend this rental to any family or couple who is looking for memorable vacation. We are already planning our next trip. Thank you!

We recently visited Puerto Aventuras for a wedding celebration and stayed at Casa Mariposa. We were travelling for the first time with a 5 month old and wanted our accommodations to be comfortable and feel as much like home. This was the place! Everything was beautiful and easy going. It was exactly the Mexican get-away that we needed. The views were stunning, the food was amazing, the house was so open and airy. The property was beautiful and well maintained and the staff was very pleasant. Not to mention the ocean out back! For this marine biologist it was excellent snorkeling! I look forward to staying here again in the future!

We stayed at Casa Mariposa this last April. What a lovely home!! The pool and patio area were top notch along with the view. The bedrooms were large and even had quality sheets. We had an extended family which included a baby. The staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Melonie, the manager, was like a family friend. She even ran to the store for us and got diapers. ( way beyond her job description ) The fresh squeezed orange juice was SO good I can still taste it. The house was clean and nicely decorated. I loved the fact that there is great snorkeling right out the back. Plus the kayaks and bikes provided for our use was very nice. There were even floaties for the pool. We all had a nice time.

What a Spectacular view. There are two bedrooms upstairs that look out over the ocean. Waking up in the morning to the sounds of the waves crashing could only make your day go well. The rock pool in the ocean right outside the villa was our favorite. Being that we once visited Puerto Aventuras and stayed in a villa near by, the privacy and service here is exactly what we were looking for. We loved our stay, thanks to everyone invlolved with Casa Mariposa for making our stay so enjoyable.

This place is all we expected and more..... the villa was immaculate and warm and inviting. The staff was professional and curtious. Talk about breath taking views....... There was not a day that i couldnt sit back on the pool deck, watch and listen to the ocean and melt all my troubles away. I had the luxury of sleeping in the lower level suit, and every morning was awaken to the sound of the ocean, as i awoke, i looked outside my bedroom door and witnessed a breathtaking view... this villa casamariposa has my highest recommendation... Dont miss out !!!!!

Our family of five (mom, dad, and 3 teens) stayed at Casa Mariposa for 9 glorious nights. Melodie, and her mother, made our stay so very special for us! The house is just incredible, and we felt at home from the moment we set down our suitcases. Melodie cooked breakfast for us on 5 different mornings, and were those ever some yummy meals! She also arranged and helped prepare a traditional Mayan dinner for us on our last night there - what a treat! Be sure to hire Melodie at least a few times to cook for YOU!! I will also never forget being able to fall asleep each night with the sweet breezes drifting across me from the ocean, the blissful sounds of the waves washing up onto the rocks below, and the view of the moon and the stars from the wrap-around windows and the cupola above our bed. The snorkeling around the house and at the beach is incredible! We even saw a baby sea turtle (he followed us everywhere) and a full-grown sea turtle - how exciting that was! The shopping and restaurants in Puerto Aventuras were also great! We can't wait for a return trip!

We stayed at Casa Mariposa and a couple of the agents other properties next door for a large family reunion. Casa Mariposa was our favorite, although the other two were incredible as well. Initially had a hard time deciding on whether or not to go with an all inclusive because of it's ease, we decided to experiment and stay at private villas and take part in their chef services, tour suggestions etc. We could not have been more delighted with our experience. We had ages from infants to in the 70's. This are and the house(s) were perfect for this reunion. We are already talking about making this a yearly trip if possible. They are very professional and the agent, Melodie, made our stay a breeze - we were pampered from the day we arrived. Listen to her suggestions - she guided us on all the hot spots that made the trip extremely memorable.

Just a word of advice to everyone thinking about renting in Puerto Aventuras. Jane & I have been continuously year after year vacationing in Puerto Aventuras. We have stayed in villas, condos and hotels. Casa Mariposa was remarkably finer then anywhere we have saved. They are ahead of the game! See you again next year Casa Mariposa!

What a beautiful villa! The decor is stunning, the fixtures and furnishings far surpass any villa we have stayed in around this area. We have been coming to Mexico for over 10 years now. A real advantage of your villa is the two equally impressive Master Suites. It's a very nice feature when a group is sharing the costs equally. And the patio was beautiful with the high seas and whitecaps! Your villa is definitely my favorite and will return again next year.

My husband and I stayed at Casa Mariposa for our 11th anniversary. Each year we pick a new spot around the world to celebrate. This is the first spot that we can honestly say that we will definetly venture back to!!!

My family and I stayed at Casa Mariposa for 2 weeks. We never travelled to Mexcio before and were curious to what the area and villa had to offer. To say the least our vacation was grande. We relaxed in this breathtaking home and enjoyed the pools and ocean right out back. In South Africa there are tons of sharks in some areas, so we are always cautioned while swimming. Here there was no worry. The water is as clear as a glass and is full of tropical fish and sealife. My two kids did not want to return home. We took part in many activities that the owners listed (thank you Kathy! for that) cenotes, mayan ruins, horseback riding were all so much fun for us. The restaraunts that they reccomended as well were fantastic. There is so much depth and beauty to the Meaxican/Mayan culture. Lastly we have travelled all over the world and I can honestly say this is one of our favorites. You will surely see us back in the near future. Thank You Casa Mariposa! Julian
