My family stayed at Eva’s condo from March 7th to March 14th, 2012. My husband, two school-age children, my mother and sister-in-law all stayed at Eva’s villa. The villa is truly beautiful! The pictures on the website do not do this villa justice. The views of the ocean, each bedroom, and the living room/dining room and kitchen are so decorated so nicely, Eva must have had a professional interior designer come in and decorate! Eva is a very kind and very professional person to work with. Eva provided us with a list of places to visit, including great restaurants, top beaches and the ruta lechonera. If you want a real vacation, stay at Eva’s place, -- you WILL NOT be disappointed! – The fee is worth every cent and you get access to the Rio Mar’s hotel amenities including the pool, beach, Jacuzzi, casino, etc. Thank you, Eva for an amazing family vacation. We will be back! Fondly, M. Turner, Guilford, CT

This condo was truly a home away from home..clean, comfortable and perfectly maintained! The owner was so kind and helpful during a medical emergency that we will always remember her with great fondness. She treated us as family from the moment we arrived to the day of our departure. We could not have asked for anything more while we were there. Thank you (name) for everything you did to make our stay so wonderful. We're looking forward to next year's vacation time and all those chances for some terrific R & R at the pool, on the beach, or on the El Yunque trails.

I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay in Eva's home or about our trip in general. This was our first trip outside the continental U.S. with our 4 year old so we were a bit nervous about staying somewhere sight unseen. We were also traveling with my parents and were concerned about them having their own space. Eva's home so exceeded our expectations. It was very comfortable, very clean and very safe. There was tons of space for everyone--we actually had more space than we needed! The bedrooms are very comfortable and the common rooms are spacious and well-kept. The kitchen was fully stocked, and Eva even had some wine and snacks waiting for us! The view from the balcony is wonderful and the patio is more spacious than it appears in the pictures. Our son loved eating his breakfast outside every morning and the adults enjoyed sitting outside in the evening. Getting to Eva's is very easy from the airport--we rented a car and would recommend doing so as it can be quite expensive to take the hotel shuttle ($65 per person one way from the airport) or a taxi. There is a grocery store, Amigos, conveniently located just a 5 minute drive from Eva's, and of course there are lots of dining options at the hotel. With regard to the hotel and use of their facilities, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was. We were at the beach and pool almost every day and never had the slightest bit of trouble. The one suggestion I would have, if you don't mind walking a little ways down the beach, is to park at the Villas building closest to the hotel and walk from there to avoid the $15.00 per day parking fee at the hotel parking garage. Other than that, it was as easy at Eva had said it would be to use the hotel facilities. There is a ton to do in Puerto Rico--if we come again, which we hope to very soon, we will definitely plan to stay longer. We were able to go to Old San Juan one day and to the rainforest one afternoon, but spent most of our time lounging by the pool and on the beach. All and all, this was a wonderful experience for our family and we owe much of that to Eva!

We enjoyed a very relaxing vacation in this quiet, spacious penthouse apartment. The pools and beach of the resort were wonderful, but our favorite activity was sitting on the terrace looking out over the golf course and ocean. The apartment was very well equipped with every amenity. It was great to have a comfortable TV room in addition to the living room and terrace, so we never felt crowded in the apartment.

Eva's condo was perfect for our family Christmas holiday vacation (two families; 4 adults and 4 kids). The condo is very spacious, super clean and the layout offered enough room to gather together and enough space to spread out. Great kitchen, fully stocked for cooking and amazing views! Best part of the condo: - beautiful accomodations, two king en-suite bathroom rooms and the 3rd bedroom was ideal for the 4 kids - GREAT views from the balcony of the rain forest, beach and resort property - safe & secure location - private beach was great - but no services, so you need to bring your own snacks and drinks - Eva was so easy to work with - attentative, detailed, personable and accomodating! She had everything we needed - extra linens, towels, high chair/pack n play, nice TV, comfortable furniture and plenty of space in the rooms for clothes in the dressers closets. I cannot say enough great things about her or the condo! Things to know about PR: - rent a vehilce! - eating on the property is awful....expensive and not tasty. I recommend the pool side restaurants for lunch, but skip dinner and cook or visit Lolita's or Metropol. - kiosks were ok; some were pricey for the amount of food (better to visit at night) - driver's were TERRIBLE! - take a snorkel trip and book it yourself to save $$$ - rain forest 15 mins from the property. MUST DO hike to LaMina Falls - visit old San Juan and tour the fort(s); parking is easy in a garage near the cruise ship docks - DO NOT get a toll road pass from the rental car agency - total rip off. If you follow Eva's instructions, the only time we had a toll was on the way from the airport to the property and you can pay cash. We drove a lot and never ran into another toll and felt the car rental agency took advantage of us - Food shopping - Ralph's on route 3, which is West of Rio Mar Amigo market = so-so Highly recommend Eva and her condo and the visit to PR. My family and I just returned from Rio Grande and our stay at Eva's villa was beyond our expectations! We have been many places in the Caribbean and were very pleased with both the villa and Eva's attention to detail. Eva helped us with our car rental, excursions, restaurants & even offered to pick up some groceries prior to our arrival! The view is stunning as you look over the golf course and to the beach! On the other side you see the clouds hanging over the mountains of the rain forest, truly majestic!! You absolutely must hike the rain forest, especially the Lamina trail. Wear your swimsuit and plan on a plunge!! There were five of us and we found the villa very roomy and comfortable. My 3 children, 21,17,12 loved their air conditioned bedrooms and the family room with large Sony flat screen is nice. My wife & I especially loved the patio overlooking the beach. We would wake up in the morning and throw open the patio doors, kitchen and living room windows and the tropical breezes were so great! We would get minute rain shower in the afternoons and with the breeze and the smell of the rain coming from the rain forest....It was a religious experience. The resort pool with it's water slide was great. The food at the pool bar is really great. Try the salad or the spicy chicken sandwich. We will absolutely return to Rio Grande and won't consider anywhere other than Eva's!!

We were looking for the perfect villa for family vacation. Our largest concern is the safety of our children (ages 10 months, 20 months, 4 and 8 at time of travel) and having a one floor villa was perfect! The vila was clean and spacious and the layout was perfect for our situation. We were two families traveling together and one family had their own "wing" of the condo. I highly recommend having a car to drive to the beach, San Juan, etc. We spent most of our days at the hotel pool which had adult only areas and child friendly areas, including a slide. Eva, the villa owner, was fantastic. She walked us through the many concerns we had with traveling with babies and even purchased an extra pack and play for the villa for our stay. She called the day before our arrival and picked up some necessities for us. Service like that really made our vacation as much fun and stress-free as possible!

My family of 5 (2 teenage daughters & 10 yr. old son) just returned from PR & want to go back! Eva's villa was much more than expected...clean, spacious, private, with stunning views. Our kids had plenty of space for themselves, so they actually got along the entire vacation! What a plus for Mom & Dad! We were unsure of where to stay in PR, but once we got to Rio Mar, we knew we made the right choice. The resort is gorgeous with every amenity, & the proximy to the villa are ideal. We especially enjoyed being close to all the activities we had planned...bio bay kayaking, snorkeling, the rain forest (not to be missed!). Yet, we loved returning every day to our own space to relax (no slamming doors in the middle of the night like in a hotel!). I would highly recommend this property to anyone traveling to PR!

I'm using all alloted characters because this was a great place: When my family travels, we like to stay in autonomous living space with ready access to resort facilities. If you are looking for a place that meets these requirements, this is the place. Eva's apartment (or the "villahouse" as my daughter called it) satisfied both and more. The apartment is extremely spacious (more so than the pictures evidence) with a good, clean layout and nicely sized, amazing-view balcony. It has full kitchen facilities and a nice large BBQ right across the parking lot. We came with three adults and two little kids and spent almost the entire trip at the Wyndham Rio Mar - with my nephew on the slide to the 'activity pool' and my daughter playing in the kiddie pool. Right next to the apartment near the BBQ is a totally separate little pool and play area. The kids loved the play area, but never even went in the pool because they loved the resort pools so much. When you get to the resort, there are iguannas everywhere - ranging from 2 to 4 or 5 feet in size. They are kid friendly and really cool - both kids fed them apples, and the resort does 11am feedings every day. One of them would actually climb up the trees and drop into the kiddie pool - it did so multiple times. We had rented a minivan, as a car is really a necessity. We contemplated but did not rent a golf cart - don't do it at any apartment on the resort if you aren't going to be using it for golf. There are a ton of positives about the apartment (size, location, family room, Eva and her sister's helpfulness) and the resort (good pool set up, beach access if you want it which the kids didn't, very friendly concierge, good location for 10-20 minute drives to kid and adult-friendly restaurants). I have no negatives about the property. I do have a couple of notes about Puerto Rico generally: (i) the casinos there are small; if you are used to Las Vegas or Atlantic City type casinos, don't expect that. The casinos consisted of a bunch of slots and one table for blackjack, roulette and a couple other card games; and (ii) driving is not a very pleasurable experience, at least on the routes we took - driving a number of times between the San Juan area and Fajardo on Rt 3 and other major roads was very frustrating for a NJ driver used to driving between 70 and 80mph on major roads - we probably averaged under 50mph because cars in both lanes barely move and don't move out of your way.

My husband and I and two of our friends just got back from a wonderful week in "Eva's Condo". I can't say enough good things about the unit itself. It was immaculate, very spacious, well furnished and supplied with more perfect linen and towels then we could ever use. All the beds were extremely comfortable. The kitchen had everything you would possibly need. We loved sitting out on the beautiful balcony every sunset admiring the magnificent view of the ocean, mountains and Rio Mar Hotel. When we didn't take a short car ride or walk to the hotel for breakfast we also had our breakfast outside as well. Eva and Jose couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. When our travel agent forgot to rent a car for us during the busy new year weekend and we called them for advice they spend an entire day locating an available convienent car rental place for us and even arranged for someone to pick us up at the airport. My husband and I travel a great deal and we have never had that kind of service! They also checked in with us to see if there was anything that we needed during our stay. We loved the location. We either sat by the small pool right by the apartment or took the short ride to the hotel to spend the day at the beautiful beach and pool. We also went back in the evening to both the Italian and Asian restaurants and thought they were both great. On other nights we drove to San Juan where we had dinner. We also especially enjoyed dinner at kiosk #2 in Loquillo a very short ride from the unit. As you can tell I loved staying at this property and would definitely recommend. We are looking forward to going back again soon!

We had a wonderful Holiday at his Rio Mar Villa. there were five adults, with plenty to do for all. We enjoyed the golf, exercise room, pool and beach. We had lunch at one of the restaurants and also had refreshments at the Tiki Bar. I would definitely recommend it to my family and friends.

Our family which consists of 4 adults and 2 toddlers were all extremely comfortable at Eva's villa. I can't say enough about the villa which was beautiful inside and out with breathtaking-panaramic views of the golf course, ocean and rain forest. But, what was the most memorable quality for me was the refreshing tradewinds that flowed through the villa when all the windows and doors were open- we rarely turned the AC on. Eva was always extremely helpful with promptly getting back to me with any questions or concerns. The villa was very easy to get to -from San Juan, very close to local establishments and familiar ones too! We enjoyed the use of the hotel, pools and beaches 24/7. I will definately recommend Eva's villa to my family, friends and whom ever else might cross my path for a wonderful place to stay in Peurto Rico! I look forward to returning in the near future for another unforgettable stay! Thax Again Eva for an unforgettable stay at the Vyndham Rio Mar.

Highly recommended. My family has stayed at Rio Mar before and love the location. Rio Mar is beautiful and safe. This Villa is fantastic. You are overlooking a golf course and the ocean in one direction and El Yunque Rain Forest in the other. The Villa is first class and has everything you will need for days at the beach or just relaxing. Eva, the Villa owner, will help with any details. Everything was up to and beyond our expectations. Rent a car (available at the the airport or in the lobby of the Rio Mar resort) and a GPS and see the island. We took day trips to Old San Juan, to the inner island town of Guavate on a weekend for whole cooked pig and down the coast to the south part of Puerto Rico. We recommend paying the few dollars to park at the hotel in Rio Mar where Villa guests have use of their beautiful pools and beach. Visit local reataurants Richie's Cafe (nice, overlooking Rio Mar) Don Pepe's (casual) or Marten's Barbecue (rottesiere chicken/fast food) What a great time!!!

We loved staying at this apartment! Our party was comprised of 5 adults and 3 young children. We stayed for a week. It was perfect for us. The rooms are spacious, the beds are super comfortable, and the linen of excellent quality. (I loved the towels, so soft...) Also, the convenience of having a bathroom in each bedroom was great. (No delays because someone is taking too long...) The kitchen was well equiped, and having a dishwasher was also a plus. The view from the apartment is gorgeous. The peace and quite you sense from the balcony is priceless. We had breakfast there every morning. It was the perfect way to start the day. The apartment complex is kept in great condition. They have a small playground which the kids loved, and it has a lovely gazebo, a small pool and a jacuzzi. Our only complaint was that the pool is small for the size of the apartment complex. However, there is another pool available (the Residents's Pool), which is close by and fronting the beach. The owners were very attentive and helpful. They could be easily reached in case of any doubts or questions and were always readily available. They keep the apartment in excellent conditions. Having a car when staying at Rio Mar is always a plus because you can explore the neighboring towns with greater ease. Also, there are some really good restaurants around (which the owners recommended) that are worth visiting. We loved Richie's Cafe. The view is spectacular and the food as well. We would definitely repeat our stay in this apartment. We were very pleased. When we reached home, my son told me that he missed the apartment, because he enjoyed himself so much. He asked if we could go back the next day... Dear owners: Thank you so much!!

i would like to begin by saying this was one of the best vacations i had been on and there have been many. It was me and my wife and 2 teen aged kids i also invited my older brother and his wife who are retired. We have been going to Puerto Rico yearly for many years and i must say Eva's condo by far has been the best place we have ever stayed in when we first walked in we really felt at home it had everything .It was enormous 19 ft. ceilings to start each room was done with great taste and the gourmet kitchen was straightout of a magazine and the best part was the patio over looking the entire resort was just breathtaking we will definetly be back every year. we cant wait to go back! and the resort was beautiful as well THANKS EVA SEE YOU SOON!

We had a wonderful vacation during Easter week 2008 in Eva's condo in cluster 7 at the Rio Mar. The condo is brand new, spotlessly clean and has a breathtaking view of the ocean from the patio and of the rainforest from the back door. The owners were incredibly helpful and even picked up groceries before our arrival and helped us secure tickets to the Puerto Rican Open golf tournament. There is a small pool and guesthouse right behind the condo or you can use the family pool or adults only pool at the Westin Rio Mar. Don't be afraid to rent a car. It was an easy 30 minute drive from San Juan and there are grocery stores, Blockbuster video, Wal-Mart, K-Mart and many other stores just like home within an easy 10 minute drive of the condo. There were plenty of children to play with at the Rio Mar pools and also the condo pool and playground. Our daughter's favorite part of the trip was the daily iguana feeding at the hotel. We will definitely be returning to this condo. Thank you Eva and Aleida for a wonderful stay.

We spent a lovely week at the villa during President's Week. Beautiful view of the ocean; spacious and comfortable home away from home for our family (two adults and two teen aged daughters - 14 and 18 years old. The villa is a short ride to the Wyndham where villa guests are welcome to partake of the beach and hotel facilities. Eva Gonzalez was a wonderful hostess for us, personally making sure that we settled in and were provided with the comforts of home. A wonderful place to stay in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico.

We stayed in the condo for during the end of July 2007. The property was clean and extremely well maintained. It is centrally located near some of the best beaches in Puerto Rico and the city of San Juan. Eva, the owner was very friendly and accomodating. She made sure that we had all the ammenities that were described in the web page. I would highly recommend this property to anyone planning a trip to Puerto Rico.

We stayed here in April for one week. The condo is brand new. It is on the grounds of the Westin Rio Mar Resort in Cluster #7. This is a new cluster with a beautiful view of the ocean and the resort. It is a few minute drive to the resort and a 20 minute walk. The place is gorgeous. Everything that you need to enjoy a peaceful and quiet week in Puerto Rico. The cluster has it's own pool and pool house with a grill and rest rooms so you can spend the day there or at the resort. The owners are very helpful and are available to help with any request. I highly recommend this villa. We will stay again!
