We are located a minute's walk to Kuau Bay Beach, a favorite beach for Maui residents and visitors, perfect for children, great snorkeling, swimming or relaxing while watching the world-class windsurfers on Ho'okipa Beach. Located close to Mama's Fish House (#1 beach front restaurant on island) and next to historic Paia town, Kaiholo Hale was completed 5 years ago. The Orchid Suite is located within this 5 bedroom property in the front of the house, 1st story. The house is away from the bustle of Maui's big resorts yet a short drive to the Kahului airport, shopping and all of the best North Shore beaches.
You can rent the entire house or just this 700 sq ft one bedroom suite located on the 2nd level of the house. Spanish tile flooring, newer teak furniture, granite countertops in the kitchen and in the 2 bathrooms... The bedroom has a king size bed and a full size newer sofa sleeper in the living room, a flat screen TV, a safe in the closet, spa robes, 2 bathrooms with shower and tub and a fully equipped and new kitchen (espresso machine, rice cooker, toaster, blender...). Great breakfast bar!
The living room has a large TV, a DVD player and a CD stereo as well as wireless high speed internet access and an I-Pod deck. The Orchid suite has a very large lanai (450 sq ft) with outdoor furniture, 2 chaise lounges and a BBQ! Washer and dryer are located outside. The bedroom and the living room have each a brand new a/c unit. Garden views only.
Other amenities are: beach towels, small cooler, beach chairs...

"Mahalo for this accommodation. Can't think of anything we need that was not provided here. We always enjoy the Paia Fish Market, the Ono burger in particular and were not disapointed. We also liked the Flatbread restaurant and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good thin crust pizza. Stopwatch Bar and Grill in Makawao was a fun local stop, great burgers. Beyond the obvious beach visits, we loved the Ali'i Lavender Farm and the Maui Ocean Center. Oh yes, Komoda Store and Bakery in Makawao has great baked goods, don't miss the mac nut cookies!" "We've had a fabulous week here. Maui is gorgeous and the diving was fabulous. We saw 3 hammersharks while diving off Molokai with North Shore Explorers. Paia is adorable with all the cute shops and amazing eateries. We have been so grateful that we stayed here, away from the touristy side. "Our family stayed in the rest of the house, but the Orchid Suite is where everyone wanted to be. The patio was perfect. We also spent some time at Baldwin Beach. Baldwin was perfect for everyone, not to crowded and very little coral for the swimmers. We had a blast in paradise!"

"We found Kaiholo Hale to be ideally located for most of our activities. Clean, lots of space and all the conveniences of home (only better!). A short walk to Kuau Cove was great for the little ones (protected tide pools) and Paia has a "small town" old Hawaiiana atmosphere. Just a short drive to upcountry and the all important Costco, Wallmart and Longs! We'll be back!"

Why the Owner Chose Paia
I always wanted to own and run a Vacation Rental or B&B. When the opportunity came to me I took it.
The North Shore of Maui is my home so it all fit perfectly. Paia is the coolest town on Maui and is only a mile from Kaiholo Hale.The proximity to the beach and all the great restaurants that the North Shore has to offer made my decision pretty easy.

Staying at Kaiholo Hale gives my guests a chance to vacation away from the hustle and bustle of the South and West side tourist areas. Easy access to the airport, great local shopping and dining and of course the world class surfing and windsurfing at Hookipa Beach just a minutes drive or 5 minute walk. Only 1.5 hours to Hana or Haleakala Crater makes those trips easier and more enjoyable. Easy access to all the North Shore beaches just five minutes away. Every modern comfort is available with brand new furnishings, great beds and everything you could need for a great vacation.

I have lived on Maui for 20 years and love it. I arrived here in 1989 and opened the first Vegetarian Restaurant in Hawaii and ran it until 2002. Having been a chef for many years I decided it was time for a change.
I purchased the property where Kaiholo Hale now stands after selling my restaurant.
I built it from the ground up over the next two years and opened to my first guests in the summer of 2004. My goal was to provide clean, modern, comfortable and affordable accommodations for people from around the world.
In addition to Kaiholo Hale I am developing environmentally friendly communities on The Big Island
