Even Better Thank Last Year!

This was our second time at the condo and we come from about an 1 hr. east of Toronto, Ontario. We were there last year same week and this year we stretched it to 10 days since we enjoyed it so much last year. 10 days was great, those extra days made a huge difference. Weather was prefect, beach and water were beautiful and of course the accommodations were absolutely top notch. We didn't venture too far away since we really come for a complete rest and to sit on the beach and read and people watch. This year we treated ourselves to the chaise's and umbrella's on the beach set up every day by Jon and the company he works for. This particular week is very quiet which we really appreciate. It's easy to drive around, no traffic and the shops are quite happy to see you since it is slower than normal after the winter rush and before the summer one. We were even able to meet the condo owners which was really nice. We had a really nice visit with them. We also made the drive up to Pensacola on the tuesday morning for the 8:30 a.m. practice of the Blue Angels at the base in Pensacola which also houses the National Naval Aviation Museum. It was worth the drive which wasn't that far, but it is a slow drive. Anyone staying who has the time to make that trip will enjoy it, it's pretty much a day trip for sure. But it's all free and very interesting. We have nothing negative to say about our stay at the Amalfi Coast Resort other than we wish we could have stayed longer! It is a lovely spot and as we drove around down there, we really do feel that in our opinion it's the nicest place in the area. Small low rise architecture (4 stories), beautiful grounds which are constantly being maintained, beautiful pools, great rates and amenities and dedicated owners who have provided everything that a guest/visitor may want in a vacation property rental. The local restaurants are fantastic (Busters, Louis and Louis and Dewey Destin's to name a few) and grocery shopping is only 10 minutes walk up the street and so is the Silver Sands Outlet Mall. We have only been home a little over a week and we are already planning our trip down for next year. Selfishly we hope that it doesn't get so popular that we miss out on our week in the condo. Compared to the high rise condo's in the area and distance that you have to hike to the beaches, this is a dream location. Certainly give it a try if you are considering this area for a vacation, it's fantastic.

I could write a book on how wonderful our stay was at this property! The pictures don't do it justice. The condo is beautiful, spacious and exceptionally clean. The gulf view was perfect, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was huge, and the laundry room was roomy and even had detergent for us to use! My husband and I decided that this is the best condo at Amalfi Coast Resort! Closest to the road, 4th floor view and the corner balcony that also has a view of the pools! The resort property was perfectly manicured and beautiful. This was an amazing vacation! In all of our travels, and bookings through HomeAway, we have never had such an enjoyable experience as our correspondences with Kaye. She is the most kind, effecient and enjoyable person ever! She helped us repeatedly when we asked for advice or had questions about the area. Stay here if you're looking for the perfect place!

This condo is super nice! It has a great view of the ocean even though it is across the street. The condo was super clean and stocked with anything you might need. The beds were amazingly comfortable. The pool area is nice and clean as well. The beach was really easy to access and was quiet even though it was spring break. Would stay here again in a heart beat. Kaye is really nice and even texted us to let us know we could get into the condo early.

My boys and I stayed at the condo from Aug. 6-13. It was exactly as advertised. Very large for a 1-bedroom/1-bath condo. We had plenty of room. And the large laundry room came in very useful as well. The views of the gulf are incredible, and it's a very short walk to both the pool and the beach. And only a short drive to several local attractions. We went to The Track a couple of times, and also spent a day at Big Kahina's waterpark. our favorite restaurants were The Back Porch and The Whale's Tail. The only downfall of the whole week was the excessive amount of a seaweed in the gulf on a couple of days. But that didn't last all week. It turned out to be a very relaxing vacation, which was exactly what we were looking for. We will definitely be back someday.

This condo was great! It was very spacious and perfect for my family of 5. It was very clean and the large utility room was wonderful to have. We loved our view of the ocean from our balcony. It was very easy to get to the pool and the beach. Both areas were not crowded at all. This rental process was very simple and Kaye was easy to work with. Amalfi Coast Resort was in a perfect location. We liked that this resort was far enough away from the crowds of the central part of Destin, but it was only a short drive to anything you wanted to do. It is only 1 mile away from Silver Sands Outlet Mall. It is also close to grocery stores, Destin Commons, several great restaurants and recreational activities. Our favorite restaurants were Maguires, The Backporch, Dewey Destin and The Donut Hole. We also enjoyed Big Kahunas water park and spent some time riding go carts at The Track. The large condo, great location and reasonable price, make this an excellent place to stay. We will definitely come back to this condo in the future!

We had a great visit. The condo is very roomy for a one bedroom. Everything was well kept and clean. The view from the balcony is great (better than other buildings at this complex). We enjoyed the tennis courts and my kids loved catching frogs by the pool. The beach was not crowded like is it futher down. The location is great--close to everything!

Better Then Described! Awesome Stay!

We rented this Condo for a Girls weekend away, then my husband came to stay for the rest of the week once my friend was leaving, so I got to stay longer then both of them. We have stayed at a couple of places in the Destin area before & this condo was very nice, so clean, better then the description listed & photos are a prefect view of the place. We were so amazed at the view of the Gulf, of course we didn't want to leave at all. Condo was so clean & roomy. It was great to have a washer & dryer. It's in a great location near shopping & dining when eating out. Dining: You have to go try the Smiling Fish Cafe', just east of the condo about only 10 minutes away on corner of Hwy 30A & Hwy 393, best time to go is at lunch 11- 3, & get the Fish Taco's. We went 2x's & got the same thing, they were so good, plus try their bread pudding (you'll need to share), & another great lunch place is 790 on the Gulf, it has the best view for nice/casual dining. An awesome breakfast place is the The Donut Hole, east of condo about 5-10 mins, off of 98, is the closest one of the 2 Donut Hole's, you must get the Cinn-Raisin French Toast or just have breakfast on the balcony of the condo :-) Some great places for activities is: Gilligans - Parasailing, & The Sea Blaster's Sunset/Dolphin Cruise, the best view of the Sunset ever. You won't be sorry. But the best place is just relaxing on the beach with a cooler & packed lunch or packed dinner. You can't go wrong with that. It's a nice close/short walk to the beach. We will be returning this year for another visit with our family. I believe this is the one from now on. Kaye was great to work with and answered all my crazy question, Thank you so much Kaye.

Beautiful, Super Clean Condo With Spectacular Views

This unit was perfect for my family of four. We were very impressed from the moment we walked in with how clean and spacious the unit was. It has amazing views of the gulf. We were in town for my sister's wedding and I was able to use the clubhouse to give her a bridal shower. The owner was so sweet and corresponded well with us throughout the process. I definitely plan on staying here again and have recommended this condo to my family and friends.

Great Condo

We had a great stay at this condo. As other reviewers have commented, it is very clean and spacious and the owner is very accommodating. The view is great and the beach was surprisingly empty for Spring Break week. Our only complaint was that there was so much traffic that at certain times of the day the sound of vehicles rivaled the sound of the waves — but perhaps that was only because it was Spring Break week.

Owner response:We are delighted these folks had a good time and enjoyed their Spring Break, especially after a long hard winter. The condo is across the street from the beach. Our very favorite times at the beach are when the Gulf of Mexico is very clear and blue-green in color and almost as still as a lake. At those times, you will not not be able to hear the waves once you are away from the beach.

We are from Carrollton, Texas and have been to Destin every year for the last three years. We plan to make another trip this year. We usually stay in this condo, but last year, we were unable to because it was already booked for the time we wanted. So we stayed at another condo and while it was nice, we missed staying at our favorite place. We are planning on going to Destin again in 2012 and are booking it in late 2011. I highly recommend this condo. It has a great view from the balcony, very short walk to the private beach, VERY CLEAN CONDO, easy access, the outlet mall for shopping is very close and great restaurants from high end fine dining to fast food. Gilligans is my personal favorite. Not to mention that Kaye is fabulous! She makes the whole process easy and stress free.

My husband and I and our 2 girls absolutely loved the vacation that we took at this property. The condo was exceptionally clean and was the perfect space for our family of 4. The direct view of the ocean was the best in the entire complex and it was very easy to access the private beach across the street. The owners were very responsive to our questions and a joy to deal with. We will definaltely rent this condo again for our next Destin vacation.

We loved the condo and its location! The view was spectacular of the ocean! The condo was extra clean and so nice and spacious for a one bedroom! Our child loved the bunk beds! Another plus was the two large pools which is one of the reasons we choose Amalfi. Dealing with the owner of the condo has been seamless. The owner has been fabulous to work with while booking our stay to closing out our stay. We plan on coming back to this condo next summer...maybe before! Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a "home away from home" condo for your next Destin stay!

Beyond our expectations

Our family enjoyed our 1st "family" vacation in this condo. Upon entering the condo, we immediately noticed that it was well taken care of, clean, neat, and very spacious. The listing description was accurate, although when you see it in person for yourself, you're more than pleased. The owner was very helpful and easily accessible at all times with regard to questions and concerns regarding the oil disaster in the gulf and how it may or may not effect our stay in Destin. The owner was very understanding and addressed our concerns in a very appropriate way with sensitivity to our feelings about possibly cancelling our trip (even 3 days before we were to arrive). I would recommend this property to everyone planning a trip to Destin. The views are most relaxing and beach access was great - even with a 3 year old. :) Since we were only there for 3 1/2 days, we didn't get to experience all that Destin has to offer, but I would recommend The Whale's Tail restaurant on the beach at Seascape, Sandestin resort for shopping, dining, and family attractions, Fudpuckers for the fun atmosphere and Gator Beach, and Bruster's Ice Cream Shop. Oh, and for the shopper, Silver Sands Outlet Mall. Love it! As a social worker, I'd like to add a side note:, If you or someone else traveling with you has a disability and requires decent wheelchair accessibility, don't be discouraged by a 4th floor condo. Doorways and hallway are plenty wide and the bathroom is very roomy. We did not have to travel the staircase once. We cannot wait to return and hope you consider this property for your next vacation. You will be beyond satisfied with the accomodating owner and the sheer bliss of the condo itself.

Large clean condo in perfect location!

We went to the Amalfi Coast in last week of May with oil worries. The beach and water were perfect. The condo was huge and clean with everything we needed. The beds were so comfortable. The laundry room was a bonus. The views were great with a nice size balcony. Loved the private beach because we could easily see how crowded the Majestic Sun's beach was. This condo is also in a great location with all the amenities within a couple of miles. We will be back!

The pictures for this condo are great but do not do it complete justice. It is very large, incredibly clean, and the view is phenomenal. The beach is just across the street and not too crowded like the areas around it. I would defiantly recommend it and would use it again!!!! P.S. Try going eat at Bonefish, it is awesome!!!

We have rented many properties over the 30 years of vacationing in Destin. This condo was tastefully decorated and also very clean. Bedding was extremely comfortable. The covered parking space was very convenient to the elevator. The grounds and pool were beautiful and well maintained. We enjoyed drinking our coffee while sitting on the balcony overlooking the gulf. Would recommend staying at this condo.

This was a great condo.....we were in several in the complex and this one was the best. The condo seemed to be well maintained and clean. It was on the front of the complex - looking directly out to the ocean. The grounds were well maintained - the flowers and scrubs were beautiful. The pools were clean and the area around the pool was also clean. There is lots of shopping close - including grocery stores and pharmacies - very close to most things. I would recommend this unit to family and friends - I would also stay at this unit again!!!

Just wanted to thank you for allowing us to rent your condo at the Amalfi Coast Resort. This was our third time going to Destin and we have stayed at the Amalfi all three times. But I have to say your place definitely had the best view of them all. One morning we actually saw a stingray in the ocean from the balcony then later saw 2 of them when we were down at the beach. I wanted to tell you that we had a wonderful time at Amalfi Coast last week. The condo was fabulous, the weather exceptional, the beach so close and so inviting. If there is ever a reason to seek out our feedback, we would recommend your property in a heartbeat. We journeyed west to Pensacola; east to Panama City Beach, and Miramar Beach was ideal -- we felt a pleasurable relief to be coming back to the condo each night.
