Cove Cottage is perched on a hill overlooking Cove Beach, Oregon. You can see the Oregon Islands National Wildlife Sanctuary from the living room window and the area is surrounded by old growth forests of Oswald West State Park.
Cove Beach is one of the least known beaches on the Northern Oregon Coast. During low tide, a vast sand beach is exposed at Cove Beach. Because most people don't watch the tide tables, it is common to have the entire 2-mile beach to yourself -- a rare treat not only for Oregon, but for most of the world.
During high tide, there is not much sand exposed, but you can drive one mile to Arch Cape Beach where there is always sand. Or, within 7 miles you can visit Manzanita Beach
Cove Cottage was recently completely remodeled. The 1500 square foot home features a panoramic ocean view, a large great room, 3 bedrooms, an upstairs/loft with spiral staircase, all new appliances, gorgeous wood floors, and an 1100 square foot deck made from sustainably harvested Red Balau Mahogany.
When you arrive you will find that the house is absolutely spotless. A thorough 5-hour professional cleaning is performed after every rental and a cleaning inspection is made shortly before your arrival.

Thank you for offering your georgous retreat for rent! We spent some of the most memorable vacation days in your lovely cove cottage. The location is ideal for our family. It allowed for rest and peace as well as for adventure. The beach is absolutely stunning with its many marvellous tide pools, the kids as well as the adults never tired exploring the many wonders we found here! And then we discovered many other points of beauty in close proximity to your home. What a fabulous place for our group of friends to celebrate the start of 2013! We loved the ocean views, the sky chair, the proximity to both Cannon Beach and Mazanita, and of course, wandering the rocky shore. Thank you for providing such a clean, welcoming space and for all the thoughtful amenities from books and board games to the amazing telescope, which made us happy and cozy when at the house. Saw a full rainbow across the Cove. Truly magical, beautiful and amazing. We had another wonderful stay here... one of our favorite places on earth. The home was clean, spacious and wonderfully located. John was an excellent host who made sure we had all the information we needed to have to be comfortable and enjoy our time there. The kitchen was a wonderful space to cook a big meal in. I highly recommend using this space for any kind of getaway.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Hate to leave and return home. Wonderful weekend with son and his new bride and her mom. Pickup sticks by a roaring fire inside while watching the rain out side, The Stormy Weather Arts Festival lived up to its name. This lovely home overlooking the secluded Cove Beach was comfortably appointed and a good jump-off for our adventures surfing, hiking and sight-seeing on the northern Oregon Coast. A minus low tide provided some of the best tide-pooling we've encountered in the northwest, and a small swell with low winds allowed us to surf our own private break. We were able to climb through the famed "arch cape" for a quick peek at the northern side of town: (The owner's instructions are quite clear on how to read the tide tables for safe and careful beach walking at low tide only.) We were all able-bodied and able to negotiate the spiral stairs, angled walls and rocky beach access without incident, but potential rentors should head the owners' recommendations that persons with limited mobility could be frustrated by this property and location. We enjoyed the lovely yard for frisbee and blackberry picking and found the barbeque and fireplace nice and unusually easy to use for a rental. The house is just a few miles from the Cape Falcon trailhead, Short Sands surf break and vistas from Neahkanie mountain--all our favorites! We also made a quick day trip to Fort Clatsop and Astoria after a quick surf at Indian Beach in Ecola State Park--another premium spot on the Oregon Coast. The lovely online tour of this property was an accurate predictor of the fun and lovely time we would have at Cove Cottage!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.
