We had a fantastic stay at Cold Creek Cabin. The cabin itself was spacious, well appointed and had every detail attended to by the owners. Watching the setting sun illuminate Sphinx Mountain across the valley is simply unforgettable, as was seeing antelope graze in the foreground. We are already looking forward to returning for another wonderful week at Cold Creek Cabin.

Awesome 2 week vacation!

This was the first time our extended family got together for a 2 week vacation to get away from the Texas heat & we had a BLAST! The cabin was the perfect getaway for 6 adults and 3 small children under the age of 6. The owners have thought of everything! The accommodations were perfect-great furniture, plenty of blankets/pillows, fans in every room, plenty of windows to let the breeze come through, and the kitchen was stocked with anything & everything you could ever need. On top of that, the location was awesome! We hiked up the hill behind the cabin, went fishing in the pond, took long walks through the neighborhood, saw antelope, deer, horses, birds, etc. right outside the window. Not to mention the views - INCREDIBLE! We were lucky enough to see rainbows (even double rainbows) almost every day! For those that love fishing, the best fly fishing is just minutes away. Yellowstone is about an hour away as well. The cabin is a short 20 minute drive to Ennis for groceries & to eat at a couple of great local restaurants. If you come here, you HAVE to go eat ice cream at the Drug Store! The owners of the cabin were available at all times to help with anything & the cabin will be a favorite of ours for years to come. We have already booked it for next year!

I am almost reluctant to write a review because I don't want too many people finding out about this beautiful property. We are beginning our second week here, and it is just fabulous! We have friends who live in Ennis for six months each year, and we wanted to experience the area again, if even for a short time. Wonderful cabin with everything I needed (even a crock pot)!!! Great central location. We have visited Virginia/Nevada City, Yellowstone (several times), hiked in numerous national forests, been to Lewis and Clark Caverns, Twin Bridges, Three Forks, etc. Today, we decided to take it easy and sit in the beautiful sunshine on the hill behind the house. What a relaxing time we have had at the Cold Creek Cabin!!

Our family booked 5 nights at the cabin to celebrate our son's wedding 8/7/10 at Wade Lake. We were extremely pleased with the accomodations as the furnishings were great, beds comfortable, cupboards well stocked, home very clean and well cared for. We loved the deck and spent much time enjoying the view from there. We hope to come back someday. Great place to relax!

Luxury in the Mountains!

Every year a member of the family picks a new city and state for our family summer get together. This year was Ennis, Montana and a very beautiful and luxurious cabin. From the great location to Yellowstone, Black Butte Mountain, The Madison River, Ennis Lake, and the great town of Ennis itself. There were six of us and had more room than needed. The adults could enjoy great views, conversation both inside and outside on the fabulous wrap around deck. While the kids got to have their own fun downstairs in the rec-room with the TV, movies and yes even the wireless connection for their games. The wild life was great as they just meander around the cabin, Antelope, Deer, Osprey, Yellow-bellied Marmot, and of course the pair of wood ducks with their six babies enjoying the pound. This cabin is a little piece of heaven with every convenience that a person could ask for. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation with hidden treasures like the town of Ennis, Virginia City, Alder than Cold Creek Cabin is for you! Brian and Kelly Garret are very easy to work with and are very accommodating. Thank you for giving us great memories of Montana! Great Time At Cold Creek Cabin

We had a wonderful experience at Cold Creek Cabin, from the almost-immediate response from Brian at first inquiry to his post-visit follow-up. Not knowing the area at all, Brian provided invaluable information for our stay. The booking and arrival processes were easy and handled in an extremely professional manner. The house was immaculate--exactly as pictured, and as clean as if it everything was brand new. Other reviews are absolutely on-target in their discussions of the places to visit and eat, the beauty of the location and wildlife, the well-appointedness of the house, the activities, and the welcoming feel from the neighbors and locals. Without a doubt, we would stay here again. (But next time, we're staying for the rodeo!)

Perfect Start to Our Summer Break

Thank you Garrett Family - we had a wonderful stay at your Ennis cabin! Just arrived home after a 12 hour drive and the kids wanted to turn around several times to go back and play in Montana! The cabin was absolutely perfect for our family - the kids loved the bunk beds downstairs and we could not get over the amazing views from the porch (and all the windows). The cabin is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. Ennis is a great town - the people were warm and we look forward to coming back to stay again. Please pass on our thanks again to Chris Connor for the excellent guide trip. Unfortunately right now the river is high and fast but Chris found the fish and made the experience a great one for the guys. Our daughter even caught a 16" trout down in the Lions park pond - she was very excited! Thank you for all your email communication with us before our trip - you provided great information about where to eat and sites to see. Highly recommend Yesterday's Soda Fountain (we ate there 3 times for lunch!) and had a lovely dinner at The Reel Decoy. We made a day trip to Yellowstone National Park - a must see and only about 70 miles away. Also, Virginia City was so much fun to explore. The kids loved peeking in the windows and seeing what life was like back in the 1860's. Highly recommend Cold Creek Cabin for its location (quiet area outside town with amazing views and wildlife everywhere) and because the owners are incredibly easy to work with making our stay there a wonderful experience. The cabin is gorgeous and exceeded our expectations!

We stayed at Cold Creek Cabin for 5 days in early June, 2010. We loved being able to come back to the cabin, BBQ steaks, take a shower and relax watching the wildlife. It was so quiet, we all slept wonderfully. We really enjoyed not feeling like we had to pack every morning before we left, it was like a home away from home. If we wanted to hang out at the cabin all day, we could. If we wanted to come in late, we didnt feel like we were disturbing others. It was the most perfect, relaxing place to go. I wouldnt change a single thing! Thanks Brian and Kelly for opening up your beautiful cabin to us!

Perfect place to stay

We just returned from 4 days of spring fly fishing on the Madison and stayed at the Cold Creek Cabin. The cabin is beautifully appointed and has all the comforts and conveniences you would expect from a top of the line cabin. Brian Garrett works hard to keep adding excellent improvements and his hard work really shows. The cabin is surrounded by wide open spaces, it is close to the river, and has outstanding views of the mountains and the Madison valley. We had no trouble seeing deer, antelope, elk, eagles, and we even saw some big horn sheep! Truly an amazing getaway. Highly recommended!

Can't beat this retreat! Beautifully appointed cabin with all the comforts and conveniences. Wide open spaces, close to the river, outstanding views of the mountains and the Madison valley. Deer, Antelope, Elk, Eagles, we even saw some big horn sheep! Truly an amazing getaway. Highly recommended!

We are a family of 5 with children ages 14,10 and 8. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Clear Creek Cabin. The views are beautiful and the location is peaceful. The cabin was clean and we had everything we needed. It was like being at home only better! The town of Ennis is also very nice with a great place to eat - Bynees Sports Bar and Grill. Last, but not least, Brian and Kelly were extremely easy to do business with and we hope to return to the cabin in the future.

A truly beautiful place with a great view. We had antelope within view most of the time. The house is new, clean, and well furnished. I highly recommend it!
