Built in 2006 this 2 bedroom 2 bath 2nd floor apartment overlooks the garden and beautiful pond of this 1937 1 acre property. It gives you a feeling of being back in the 30's. Just a short walk to town or to watch the wildlife, or sunset at Gilbert Park, Mount Dora Golf Association, the Village Antique Mall, or Highland Street Cafe. This quaint little town is the perfect place to get away from the city. Only 40 minutes from Disney, Universal Studios, Silver Springs and more. There is something for everyone.
We are just a short walk to Gilbert Park where you can watch a beautiful sunset by the lighthouse and enjoy the wildlife.

Why the Owner Chose Mount Dora
Mount Dora is a friendly peaceful town with lots of things to do. It allows us to work and still "smell the roses". We frequently go down to Lake Dora and feed the geese and watch the beautiful sunrise. It is a wonderful place to retire.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment
We love to boat on the Chain of Lakes. We shop the collectible and antique shops. We have taken a horse and buggy Ride and a ride on the antique train with our family. Mount Dora is only 40 minutes to Disney, Universal, Silver Springs and 1 hour from the airport. You can also get to either coast in about an hour.

I am a realtor specializing in Mount Dora, Eustis, Tavares and waterfront homes in the lake county area. Rod and I have been married 31 years. We have lived in Florida most of our lives. Rod is originally from New Jersey and I am from Ohio. We spent four years in the mountains of N. Carolina with our three boys. We moved back to Florida and lived in Margate for 19 years. We now have three grandsons, one grandaughter and wonderful daughter-in-laws. We purchased our home in Mount Dora in 2002 and completely renovated the property. We built the new building for Rods classic cars and 1940 Chris-Craft boat in 2005 and added the 2nd apartment above the garage in 2006. We decorated it with the theme of the Antique and Classic Wooden Boat Show and Art Festival which are very big events here in February and March. We also have a 1 bedroom which is the originally carriage house for the property. We are members of the Antique and Classic Boat Club/Sunnyland Chapter and Lakes & Hills Garden Club.
