The Prescription Pad:
The Prescription Pad is a 5 bedroom/ 4 bath OCEANFRONT home located in Kure Beach, NC. This is one of only a handful of single family homes with a private pool. The private oceanfront pool/spa is one of many amenities that comes with the rental of this property. The home is located 4 blocks south of the Kure Beach central business district and Kure Beach Fishing Pier.
Property Description:
The main level includes the living room which offers cable color TV, DVD, Stereo, Bar and more. The kitchen and dining areas are also located on this. The kitchen is fully equipped with all you need show off your culinary skills!! The dining are is equipped with a large glass top dining room table. Bar stools are located at the kitchen bar, offering more seating for "home cooked" meals. This level also offers a bedroom and bath. The bedroom is equipped with a queen size bed.
The third floor level offers 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. The master bedroom which is located on the ocean side is equipped with a king size bed, a gas fireplace, exercise bike, bathroom with jetted tub and a fridge for late night snacks. The oceanfront doors open onto a private oceanfront balcony. The other 2 bedrooms on this floor offer full size beds with twin size pullout sofas. The bathroom has been customed tiled and has a dual stand up shower.
The bottome floor of the home has a 2 car garage, laundry room with full size washer and dryer. This floor also offers a suite with a full size bed, tv/vcr, full bath and refrigerator.
About the Area
There are many points of interest in the Pleasure Island area; take a ferry ride to Southport, or vist the new aquarium, then there is Fort Fisher, the last battle fought in the civil war, but best of all take your 4-wheel vehicle for a drive on the beach. We have history, hiking, fishing, surfing, boating or just relaxing. Play putt-putt at our local course and be sure to visit one of the arcades. You will find many dining options on Pleasure Island, not to mention the adundance of eateries in Wilmington (just across the bridge). Carolina Beach was voted as the cleanest beach in North Carolina; as reported in USA Today.
Take a ride into Wilmington and enjoy one of the numerous restaurants. Or enjoy a horse drawn carraige ride through the Historic Downtown district. Summer is wonderful - but do not forget the fall and spring - lower rates, wonderful water and the air temperatures, and empty beach for miles of walking and shelling.

VRBO Bear stayed here - 04/03/2008 From the moment I stepped into this bright, airy Kure Beach house, I knew it was just what the bear doctor ordered. With everything from the comfortable, inviting furnishings to the expansive back porch, I felt immediately at home.
Sitting poolside on the back porch with only a few steps beyond to beautiful Kure Beach, I felt the tension slip away. Five large bedrooms and four baths made it a wonderful place for family and friends to gather. I especially enjoyed soaking in the large master bathtub after a long day of sightseeing.
Historic downtown Wilmington is just 20 to 30 minutes away, and there you will find wonderful shops and restaurants, guided tours and more. Kure Beach also offers shops, restaurants, a wonderful aquarium and miles of beautiful beach to explore.
