Perfect Place

Guest: Jimmy (Miami, Florida)
Date of Stay: 01/20/12 Review Submitted: 01/23/12

I usually never leave a review on a place because I usually forget about the place after I'm done with my travels but not this place. This is simply perfect! It is conveniently located in probably the most centralized location you can get if you're trying to see the majority of New York City. The 9/11 Memorial is a 5 minute walk, Brooklyn Bridge is 2-3 blocks away, Wall Street is in walking distance, Times Square & Rockefeller Center is a 10-15 minute train ride away, and the Fulton train station is around the corner. As for the apartment, it's gorgeous: 2 big bdrms, kitchen is up to date, bathrooms are nice, and it has a sofa bed. Our only complaints is that we didn't spend enough time at the apartment hanging out. I'm telling all that's reading this, you will not regret renting this place at; stop looking b/c this place is what you're looking for!

Great Apartment - Great Location

Guest: timmyd (Tampa)
Date of Stay: 11/10/11 Review Submitted: 11/18/11

My wife and I frequently travel to NYC and were fortunate to stay in this aparment over a long weekend in November 2011. Everything was as described. Our afternoon flight to NYC was delayed for over two hours. We notified Lee of our late arrival and were pleased with the extra effort made to make sure we had no problems obtaining the keys. We enjoyed the convenient location to the grocery store, subway and the Brooklyn Bridge. We walked the neighborhood and made our way to the Ground Zero memorial only a few blocks away. The Brooklyn Bridge Subway line was more convenient for us than Fulton Street. It was nice to be able to cook breakfast and enjoy the entertainment center. The relatively quiet neighborhood is a big difference from mid town. Much to do and much to see meant long days and my wife enjoyed bubble baths while relaxing in the tub. We walked across the Brooklyn Bridge with the scenic views of Lower Manhattan, then took the ferry boat back to Wall Street. We were able to find our way to the Brooklyn Tabernacle for a great church service as well. We traveled to midtown to go to Radio City to see the Christmas show and had a great dinner close to Rockefeller Center. We used public transportation exclusively outside the trip to and from the airport. On our final day, we took the subway to Grand Central and then took the shuttle to the airport. There are several great Irish pubs close by and plenty of Chiptole, Five Guys, Subway, and other fast food locations in the neighborhood. Battery Park, the harbor and a view of the Statue of Liberty are just down the street. There are a few drawbacks: Three flights of stairs, 6 remote controls, construction across the street, small hot water heater and not much of a view. Even so, we plan to return to NYC a few times next year and will consider this apartment a top priority!

Great Place; Great Location; Lots of Room; Great Price!!

Date of Stay: 07/24/11 Review Submitted: 08/28/11

My Husband, Son, Daughter, two of her girlfriends and I stayed at Lee's place back in July. It was my husband and I second time in NYC (First Time Stay off 56th and 7th), and our teens first time. Since we were a party of six, we need much more space that our last visit. Lee's place was exactly what we needed. There were 2 full bthrms, 2 bdrms, and the living room had a nice sofa that could easily sleep 2. There was also a loveseat that pullout to a twin sleeper. The apartment was clean..nice wood floors; the air got really cold which was critical after a long day of being out in the heat. The apartment was also were to be in the city. The location was true city living. You walk out of the apartment and turn left, and there is a Wendy's about a block down; a Starbuck on the same corner; a Five Guys Burgers and Fries adjacent; A CVS pharmacy. Convenience is critical when you are basically living there while vacationing. Important attractions within walking distance are South Sea Port about 4 or 5 blocks down. Teens loved that area. Battery Park was not far...about 15/20 minute walk to get to ferries for Statue of Liberty. Wall Street was just a few blocks walk (4 or 5). Ground Zero was even closer. For shopping there were shops before you cross over to the seaport, and then an actual mall there. Regarding the tour buses, South Seaport was a stop on the route. So we caught the bus there. The girls and I also figured out that if you took Fulton down to Broad St. and hung a right and walked down about 6 or 7 blocks you were in the SoHo area. Great Shopping! Lee's place is also walking distance from China Town. Just get a good map, but Lee does provide a print off with some of the information of interest. Last, but not least the subway was right around the corner, and it took 10 minutes to get to Times Square. Lee was nice and professional, and the only mishap was that we could not figure out how to work his very nice music system, and he had to come in to help us with that. He also suggested some good eats in the area on our last night. Also just want to advise about the stairs. We enjoyed the challenge as we were on the 2nd floor, but others with physcial disabilities would not. We will definitely stay there again and recommend Lee's place to anyone looking for great place during their stay in NYC. Lee, we thought about you this weekend as Irenewas coming through and we pray that all was well with you and yours and the apartments.

Owner response:Hi Arthur and Tina, Thank you so much for the fantastic review. It was great being of service to you and your family! Lee

I stayed at this apartment with 5 other friends in June. Location was excellent with easy access to the subway that gets you up to Times Square & Central Park in no time. All the amenities you could want are located near by as well. The apartment itself was clean and spacious with all the things provided that you need to start you off in a holiday apartment. Entertainment system was excellent for nights spent in relaxing and watching films. I would definitely recommend this accommodation to others...

Great apartment! Accurately described. Very close to the subway. South Street Seaport area is right on the doorstep and a nice place to go for a wander or something to eat. Would recommend this apartment to friends (for 4 or more people). Lots of room in the lounge area if the sofa beds were to be used. We had a great stay - Loved New York. Would definitely stay again!!! Only negatives were (and only small points).............. Only one wine glass between 4 people Could not get any sound through the TV in the lounge area (not that it bothered us as we busy exploring NYC) Many thanks Steve - Manchester UK

Owner response:Hi Steve, Thanks for the review. I have put 6 new beautifully crafted wine glasses in the apartment. As far as the TV you should have called me! That's just a setting. The TV sounds amazing! Glad you had a great time. Lee

This property is very well located near two subway stops. There are groceries nearby so that you can at least cook breakfast, as we did. The beds, including the sofa bed, were very comfortable and having two bathrooms was certainly a plus, with 5 people. The property was clean and spacious. The owner was especially accommodating, quickly responding to inquiries and giving his cell number in case we needed to call him. There was plenty of closet space and televisions in both bedrooms as well as the very large one in the living room. Many attractions were within walking distance including Battery Park, Ground Zero and Chinatown. I would stay here again.

Stay in Spring break 2011

Date of Stay: 04/18/11 Review Submitted: 04/30/11

We (family of 2 adults and 3 children aged 12, 9 and 7) stayed one week in spring break 2011. Very nice apartment, very well located (3 minutes walk to subways going all directions), quiet, clean, convenient for family. Easy to have breakfast around the corner (e.g. the bread factory) or diner when coming back from a long busy day visiting the big Apple. Interface with Ann Marie/Lee was efficient, quick and smooth despite we came from Europe and were using VRBO for the first time. Description was conform to reality. We would definitely love to come back when we travel again to NY. Thanks Ann Marie

Owner response:Hi, Thank you for your thoughtfulness in taking the time to write me such a lovely note. I deeply appreciate your kind words about Lee's Manhattan apartment. Many Thanks AnnMarie Lee

Great time in New York

Date of Stay: 04/09/11 Review Submitted: 05/03/11

Our family of 5 adults stayed in Nassau Street from 9-16th April 2011. The apartment was clean, well decorated and spacious. The kitchen equipment and other facilities were good although a set of 6 wine/tumbler glasses would have been ideal for evening meals. Showers really had to be staggered as our 3 daughters each wanted a shower in the morning. The area was fairly quiet especially at the week end (as close to the financial district) but close enough to all the main visitor attractions and the places mentioned on the website. We walked to Battery Park and Pier 17 in less than 15 mins. Transport links are really good as the apartment is very close to the Fulton Street subway hub.The last day we had a loveIy breakfast at the Bread Company and in the evening a take away pizza from the local shop which was excellent.I would recommend staying here and would come back next time we are able to visit to New York.

Ideal Location

Guest: Chase W. (Dallas, TX)
Date of Stay: 03/17/11 Review Submitted: 03/25/11

Our family of six stayed in this apartment for 5 nights in March. It was my wife and I along with our four children, ages 10, 8, 7, and 6. With a family of six, the only way to get around is subway. This location is ideal for subway riders. The Fulton St. station is literally just around the corner. From there, you can get to nearly 90% of the city within minutes. And most of the major attractions require no transfers. It's just hop on a train, hop off, head up to the street, then a short walk to your destination. As for the apartment itself, everything was as advertised. It is VERY spacious. To have this kind of space in Manhattan, is unheard of. The unit was clean and there were plenty of towels and linens along with basic necessities (e.g. toilet paper, paper towels, etc.). Our laziness got the best of us, so we ordered grocery delivery, but there's a grocery store not more than a few blocks away and a 24 hour CVS a half block down the street. The unit doesn't have a view of any sorts (nor is one advertised), and we didn't care. This area is packed with people during the day, and very quiet at night. We felt safe the entire time we were there. The street is closed in front of the building for construction. Noise never bothered us as the bedrooms are in the back. Note that this building actually has three units and it is a walk-up building, so know which unit(s) are available before making a decision. If stairs are a problem for you or a member of your party consider this. Then again, if you're not ready for stairs in NYC, then you need to get ready (they're everywhere). All three units will have some stairs with unit one being about half a flight, and two being a flight and half, and so on. The entertainment system was great for winding down after a long day in the city. However, the system desperately needs a $60 Harmony universal remote control. I'm fairly tech savvy and it took me a little bit to figure which of the 4 remotes did what. The hot water can be something of a challenge, but is a common challenge in any NYC apartment (small water heaters). You'll need to space out showers. Not too big of a problem that preparation can't overcome. If you have to do any laundry, run the washer in the middle of the night or while you're away. One last thing to note, there is a place called The Bread Factory with an entrance literally a half block from the apt. They have some amazing desserts.

I lived in this comfortable and spacious apartment for 9 days with 5 friends of mine. We had a very good time there. The place was perfectly clean, the sound system is very good, the kitchen is convenient and the 2 bathrooms make save time. There is also a wifi network available, and the owner is very nice and available in case we have any question or problem in the apartment. This accomodation is also perfectly located, the subway is 2 minutes away, there are many restaurants in the neighbourhood as well as a pharmacy open 24 hours a day. the WTC is very close. To put in a nutshell, I would recommend this apartment to enjoy a nice nice time with friends or family in the heart of Manhattan

It was a pleasure to stay in this apartment in Manhattan for a weekend in New York. There were 6 of us and we wee very comfortable. We packed in as much as we could each day to show those who had not been to the city the sights and sounds, so each day was VERY busy, and it was nice to come to this quiet, clean, spacious place and get rest /recover for the next day. The owner was always available to assist us if we had questions or needed anything.

6 friends stayed here for a girls getaway to New York...great location for the subway and all financial distrcit sites. There is construction going on in this street so no traffic in front of the condo and the construction starts early in the morning. We were there Oct 2010 so not sure when it will be done. The photos are accurate and the property is clean and functional. Would recommend this property if you like to be close to the financial district area.

Not a place to recomend

Guest: Ricardo E. (Fort Lauderdale FL)
Date of Stay: 10/03/10 Review Submitted: 10/18/10

Being a VRBO owner, it is difficult to write a bad review, BUT it is a review and it will help other renters to make a wise decision on where to stay. Next are the reasons why we will not recommend this place. 1)The apartment is on a 2nd floor, and there is not elevator, not good for those carrying luggage. And for those coming back after walking all day around N. York. 2)The street where the apartment is located is under construction, big mess, and heavy machinery start moving every day early in the morning. It makes a lot of noise. 3)Before I rented this place I asked the owner SPECIFICALLY about NOT SMOKING , I got the assurance that the place was a NON SMOKING PLACE, unfortunately it was not the case, There was a very strong smell of cigarettes inside the apartment; we were forced to open the windows, meaning a lot of noise and cold wind coming inside. We decided to stay because we were waiting for friends to arrive later. We called the owner, asking for another place to stay, and we did not get any help from him. Except he said he was sorry. 4)The neighborhood is OK, but the apartment is far – at least for US – from Times Square and where all the movement is, or $ 25 dollars each way taxi or 15 minutes subway. There is a very fancy audio system at the apartment (Thousands of dollars) that doesn’t make any sense to be in an apartment were you can not make to much noise, There are 4 remote controls and no instructions on how to use them. And the last thing that upset me a lot was the fact that the intercom system DOES NOT WORK. We were expecting friends from out of the country, and when they reached the apartment, they could not let us know that they were waiting down stairs, They asked for a cell phone and they called us. After that we tried and tested the system, but it doesn’t work. This is my third time in New York, this is my first BAD experience, especially because I had guest from out the country. We were expecting something nicer, without all the problems. For a place where the rental was not cheap, what we got in return is very well below average.

Owner response:After over 95 reviews of 5 or 4 stars its incredulous to me that this person has the nerve to leave this review. This review was left because the other guests called the police twice on this guy. He would play the stereo at top volume at 12am at night during his stay. I must refute all that this review entails. The apartment is in a beautiful townhouse that was just rennovated. It is humongous (1300 sq ft) The intercom works beautifully, the street is under construction but I'm told that it will be finished this month. There is no smoking in the apartments and even if there was the apartments are all hard wood floors. There is nothing for the aroma to cling to. The apartment is very quiet and the bedrooms are at the back. Please see the other reviews to see how quiet it is in the unit. The neighborhood is ideal! 3 blocks from Ground Zero, 3 Blocks from the Brooklyn Bridge, 5 blocks from the South Street Seaport, 5 blocks from Wall Street. 10 minutes from Times Square by Subway. I would urge anyone reading this to see the other very positive reviews and make their judgement. I am always available for any questions, please see the side of this ad to contact me. Thanks and I look forward to having you stay.

Four of us shared the apt which is very large and chic. It is on a street undergoing construction which can be noisy in the AM. You have to carry your luggage up a long staircase so travel light. The apt is equivalent to being on the 3rd floor. There is private BR the back of a railway type apt and a private BR w/its own bathroom along with a pull-out sleeper queen size (ok comfort) and a pull out full size not so comfortable sleeper. You are right near the subway, South St Seaport. If you are savvy with the metro/buses this is a great choice for you if you use an unlimited MetroCard Pass. We had one morning where the upstairs people were very noisy getting ready to get out of the apt. Lee was very nice and responsive, easy to get in touch with. You cannot beat the price, size of this place and the ability of staying in Manhattan. I highly recommend this place and would stay here again.

It was wonderful to have a washer and dryer to use especially since some of us had been traveling light for weeks prior to the visit. Very easy to take the subway stations and to walk to mid town sights. A great place for a morning run. You can go across the Brooklyn bridge and circle back on the Manhattan bridge. A quiet night sleep away from mid town night life but still close enough to enjoy some night life by taxi or subway.

Pro: The apt is clean, spacious and the kitchen is very well equip. Having a washer and dryer in the apt is definitely a big plus point. The apt is very strategically located (close to subway, CVS, 24 hours parking, food, shopping @ Century 21). Con: The second bedroom's bed was too soft and there is limited hot water for all 5 of us. There is also a big construction going on in front of the apt. The apt is very close to all the major subway line and for a 2Bed2 Bath apt in NYC, this place is value for money. I will defiantly stay here again.

It was also very well maintained, clean and the photos were exactly what you get when you walk in the door. My family stayed at the apartment for about 10 days. We have 2 adults and 2 young kids. We found the location is very convenient to access everywhere in NYC within half an hour. The subway station is just a few steps away. A mini store for daily use items is nearby. The apartment is very comfy, clean and new furnished. It certainly a good choice for a temporary stay in NYC. If the linens and towels are renewed with new, it would be a credit.

Owner response:New Linens and towels were in the closet, they were in a box. I have had the cleaning lady put them out. Thanks for the stay!!

The apartment worked very well for my weekend business trip to New York. Everything is very clean and in good working condition. The size worked well for my small group but could easily fit more people. We would stay again.

The Perfect Base to explore Manhattan and beyond!

Guest: Rae (UK)
Date of Stay: 06/20/10 Review Submitted: 07/07/10

We came to Manhattan with high expectations of the apartment - our expectations more than met. We were delighted with the facilities and location of the property. It was also very well maintained and immaculately presented. What you see in the photos is exactly what you get. There's a washing machine, dish washer, the audio visual system is brilliant (particularly during the Soccer World Cup!). Essentially, everything you need is to hand. Lee was extremely helpful and stopped by to check we had everything we needed. We found it very easy to get around using the subway although there are weekend works at the Fulton/Nassau subway station, the City Hall station is very close so we were able to get everywhere we needed. It's very close to Wall Street, Ground Zero and (probably most importantly) Century 21. There are plenty of restaurants around at the South Street Seaport and a number of bars and diners close to Nassau Street. We highly recommend the restaurant/diner at the Woolworth Building (I think it's called the Kitchen). Make sure you walk across the Brooklyn Bridge too. We bought a City Pass to make sure we saw all the sites, it also helps with planning your budget. If it's your first trip to the Big Apple, have a plan of where you want to go and when otherwise you could miss out. We went to the Statue of Liberty, Central Park/ zoo, Madison Square Garden, Ground Zero, on a Circle Line cruise (highly recommended), Brooklyn Botanical Garden, Rockefeller Centre, Empire State Building, China Town, Union Square, Washington Park and Bleecker Street and we had a great time at all of them. We would definitely recommend staying at the apartment to everyone and would certainly stay there again on our next visit to New York.

6 Happy Girls !

Guest: Carolan (Montreal, Quebec, Canada)
Date of Stay: 06/18/10 Review Submitted: 06/21/10

We stayed at this apartment for 3 days and 2 nights and really had the chance to see everything we wanted in the city because everything is so close! Metro, Starbucks, drug store, grocery store, restaurants... and taxis are never further than 3 steps away! The apartment is very quiet, and our sleep was very enjoyable. Though in the morning, six girls would hav required a mirror or two in the rooms. Bed are confy and sofa beds also. Restaurant Les Halles, a block away is VERY recommended if you want a great steak ;) Also, the proprio, Lee, was always joinable and, answered the second we called. Every time we needed something, he had a solution. Very safe neighborhood. We were only girls and never feared to go alone get something near, like a coffee or nailpolish ! ahah We drove all the six hours separating us from this place and the parking lot beside the apartment was cheap AND safe! Guys were comprehensive of our needs. We REALLY recommend this place, and I have rented condos in different cities for a long time, this place is lik nothing else. It's perfect.

Financial District 2/2 apt.

Guest: caver (St. Petersburg, FL)
Date of Stay: 06/16/10 Review Submitted: 06/25/10

My mother, 2 sisters and niece just stayed at this apt. for 6 nights June 16-21 (ages from 75, mid-to-late 40's and 14). Except for one of my sisters, they had never rented an apt. when travelling before and were amazed. This property is in a great location to access many of the popular tourist destinations and there are 2 very close subway stops. There is a market that carries many of the items you would find at Whole Foods and a drugstore very nearby. The apt. was exactly as described and was a pleasure to stay in. The TV is MUCH larger than the one I have at home. It was very comfortable for 5 people. The manager of the property was very accommodating and responsive and made arrangements for us to leave our luggage before we could check in and after we needed to check out. RIght now the street in front of the apt. is under construction, but that was not an issue. It is on the 2nd floor and there is no elevator, so if you have mobility issues, you should be aware of that. We all felt safe and comfortable in the area and I would definitely stay here again if visiting NYC and recommend this property to my friends.

Our trip to NYC would not have been complete without staying here! It was true NYC living while on vacation! The apartment was just as shown in the photos - clean, comfortable and state of the art throughout! I felt extremely safe in the neighborhood and loved the fact that local business owners not only knew Lee, but spoke very highly of him. It is super convenient to many, many points of interest. Thanks Lee for providing such a wonderful VRBO! I would, and have, recommended this place to my family and friends!

The apartment was ideal for our group of four ladies. We would recommend it to anyone. The location was ideal, with so many subway stops nearby that we used a new one every day (accidentally!). The street was very quite and the AC was inviting. Having the washer/dryer, 2 bath, and the large space was terrific. Lee was very professional and prompt with all of our correspondence and questions. All of us agreed we would stay here again!

Date of Stay: 06/02/10 Review Submitted: 06/07/10

The apartment was exactly as described and extremely comfortable for my husband and I and our adult children. It was lovely to come home at the end of each day and plunk ourselves down in the airconditioned aparment with it's fabulous 3 tv's, have a beer and make some dinner. 3 flights of stairs to get to the apartment, but all part of the new fitness plan! South Street Seaport is so lovely and we would not have seen it without being down in this neck of the woods. I highly recommend staying in this location because it is easy to get around, safe (the apartment and the area), and Lee the owner was very honest in his dealings with us. I would happily give this apartment a reference if anyone wants to get hold of me.

Accurate listing description and photos mean you'll feel like you know the place when you walk in the door. Lee is helpful and accommodating. Easy access to public transportation and food & drink. Recommend Les Halles restaurant - just a 4 or 5 block walk from the apartment for relaxed fine dining. If you like Belgian beer, I also recommend Burp Castle in the East Village. I do not recommend this rental for elderly or disabled due to the third floor location. Also, if you're tall, watch your head coming down the last flight of steps! No real complaints. Clean and well maintained, would recommend. Overall, great experience, great location.

Lower Manhattan - Great Alternative to the Theatre District and Times Square

Guest: Danny G (Indiana)
Date of Stay: 05/18/10 Review Submitted: 06/10/10

While we orginally were trying to locate a place near Times Square, finding a two bedroom, two bathroom apt. was not easy. First of all, getting the key as very easy - from a doorman a few doors away. Lee's apt. was a great alternative in a good location!! My wife and I (Indiana) met friends from Holland in NYC and very much enjoyed the very clean apt. Lee was very attentive and responsive to the few needs we had. The apt. is within easy walking distance to Ground Zero, Wall Street, the Brooklyn Bridge (you must walk it like about 3,000 others do each day - great views of Manattan and Brooklyn), restaurants, groceries and the all important subway. We can highly recommend this spacious apt.

This place is FANTASTIC!!! We were a group of 5 ranging in ages from 19 to 74! We were in town for a graduation and found the apartment perfect. Exactly as described...very comfortable, clean, location is absolutely fabulous...steps to the train...near the grocery store...everything you need. My niece and nephew who live a few blocks away were blown over by the amount of space and the reasonable price we paid...they are definitely passing the accomodation information on to their friends who have families staying in town. Trust me, coming from people who live in the city, you can't beat the space and price. Thank you so much Lee for being such a wonderful host, we hope to make it back very very soon!

Very spacious apartment , very well located in the downtown area, close to most subway lines and plenty of restaurants and grocery stores around. Perfect for a family or for bigger groups, you can rent several apartments, it is very convenient. So if you are looking for a nice place to spend a few days/weeks in New York city, this a great place and a very good deal compared to hotels . The owner has been especially helpful and very professional.

We stayed here with another couple last year, and found the place to be perfect for our needs. The apartment was beautiful and luxurious, there was plenty of space, and it was in a great location close to multiple subway lines. It hands down beats staying in a hotel, I would definitely stay here again on return to NYC.

Sorry it has taken so long to write a review but I work in Iraq and internet is dodgy here sometimes... Anyway, I stayed in this apartment with my two boys (16 and 18) and my GF. You can't beat the price for a New York stay!! We had plenty of room 2 full bedrooms which are not right next to each other (privacy is good) and Lee (the owner) provided a contact number and was very quick to answer any questions we had. A 24 hr grocery is nearby and Lee provides a lot of information in a nice little packet when you pick up the keys. Being able to do laundry was a big plus!! The location makes you feel like a New Yorker and you get a great feel for what it would be like to live in the Big City. Subway stations are not at your front door, but they are a reasonable short walk. Nearby you have Wall Street, the ferry to Liberty Island and ground zero. Make sure to walk down to the river and you have great views of the Brooklyn Bridge which is also a short walk away!! The boys loved the condo and we will defiantly be staying here during my other stays in the BIG APPLE :) Thanks for everything Lee!!

We are a family of 2 adults and 3 children (aged 11 yrs and 8 yr old twins). We stayed at Nassau Street in March 2010. I was nervous as I've never rented a vacation apartment before. However, check in was just as well organised (if not faster) than a hotel stay. It's a pedestrianised street so nice and quiet any time of day. The subway (Fulton St is the nearest stop) is just at the end of the street and is a major bonus as it hooked us up to at least 5 different lines giving us access to every part of Manhattan with minimum fuss. Central Park is 15 mins away on the subway. Brooklyn Bridge is 5 mins walk as are Century 21, WTC site, Wall Street and South Street Seaport. The supermarket is 3 mins walk. Battery Park, Canal Street and Tribeca are 10-15 mins walk. Very safe area to stroll around as indeed are all of the areas mentioned above. The apartment is very clean and spacious. Kitchen is very well stocked and the owner has a common sense approach of leaving unopened produce in the fridge for the next guest to enjoy. Coffee and condiments were in the cupboard also. This apartment is a great (though not cheap) option if you want a bit of space and want to experience what living in downtown Manhattan is like. We spent 6 days there and could have down with longer. So much to see and do. Check out the local NYPD museum at 100 Old Slip where you can go into a jail cell and have your mugshot taken. Kids loved it! Also, just 3 blocks away is the Federal Reserve Bank where you can take a free tour of the gold vaults 5 stories underground (tip: prebook at least 5 weeks in advance). Enjoy your stay in Manhattan. Wish we could do it all again! Irish Family, Galway, Ireland.

We spent a great spring break exploring NYC with this apartment as our base. The apartment was as advertised--nicely furnished and plenty of room for 4 adults and 2 kids. The local subway stops allowed us to go all over Manhattan with ease. With plenty of shopping, coffee shops, and the excellent Beekman Pub around the corner , we really enjoyed this quiet neighborhood.
