Come share our family's lakefront Carnelian Bay cabin compound. This quiet cabin started out as a small summer guest house in 1935. Over the years it has been expanded into a comfortable, modern space to accommodate year-round visitors, while maintaining its beautiful Old Tahoe charm. Two separate new units were added to create a stylish compound.
Summer rates: $600 night/ max. 15 people for Lakeside, Lookout and Roadhouse, plus tax and cleaning. The Lakeside cabin can be rented singly for $300/night; Lakeside and Lookout for $450/night.
Fall/Winter/Spring offseason: All three units for $425 a night (plus tax and cleaning). Lakeside cabin alone: $225 per night (plus tax and cleaning). Lakeside and Lookout only: $325 per night (plus tax and cleaning). Plowed, level driveway gives easy winter access from the highway.

Summer Rates: $600/night
2 of 3 units can be rented separately for lower rates.
Regular off season: Oct. to June: $425/night or $2775/week.
Lakeside only, off season: $225/nt.
Balance due two weeks in advance, non-refundable if no renter found.
$500 deposit, non-refundable 30 days before occupancy.
10% tax plus cleaning will be added. Two-night minimum.

Why the Owner Chose Carnelian Bay
Our great-grandparents camped at the Lake, near Tahoe City, for many years, starting in the early 1900s. Our grandparents continued the tradition on the west shore, camping at Bliss State Park each summer. Our family purchased this lakeside retreat in 1974, remembering the happy times through several generations, of summer on the shores of Lake Tahoe.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
The houses are comfortable and charming, and proximity to the private beach and lakeshore provides a welcome retreat from civilization. The beautiful lakeside public path, which terminates in front of our cabin, meanders north along the shore, delivering you after a short 5-minute walk to the small village of Carnelian Bay and its 3 restaurants, store, post office, public beaches and pier — the site of the annual Wooden Boat Show.

Having brought our two families to North Tahoe for 15 years, never have we felt so immediately welcome and right at home. Beach, skiing, rock collecting and great food. Loved spending the last night roasting marshmallows around the fire. Thank you so much for sharing such a great getaway!
