What a truly special place! We stayed in the Abbe Cabin this year between Christmas and New Years and it made our holiday truly memorable. The ever changing view from the lake was spectacular -- we could not get enough of it. We happily cooked dinner every night just to enjoy the coziness of the cabin and the fire. It was an easy drive to Northstar to ski. Thanks to the Abbe family for sharing this wonderful family retreat with us.

We had a fabulous family reunion and 4th July stay at the Abbe Cabin and enjoyed the distant view of the fireworks going off around the lake on a wonderful, balmy, moonlit night. We were three sibling families reuniting after an emigration to the US twenty years earlier from England. Magical! Enjoyed a fabulous celebration dinner at Garwoods, the service was awesome they were very sweet about our reason for celebrating and certainly made us feel very special. Thanks so much for sharing your gem with us.

We stayed at this beautiful compound in April, 2009 with some very good friends, and had an absolutely wonderful time. The main house, the kitchen and the two guest houses are tastefully decorated and amazingly well equiped. We've stayed at many VRBOs and had great experiences, but this is the best equiped home we've been privileged to be in.

Having brought our two families to North Tahoe for 15 years, never have we felt so immediately welcome and right at home. Beach, skiing, rock collecting and great food. Loved spending the last night roasting marshmallows around the fire. Thank you so much for sharing such a great getaway!

Our Boy Scout troop had an extremely good stay at Abbe Cabin. We were thrilled with the view and enjoyed the cozy cabins/loft & studio. Your kitchen was so easy to use. Thank you Abbe Family.

We had a great time here. The last weekend of 2006 surely made some great memories for us. Hopefully we will get a chance to come back here sometime in future and have as much fun as we did now.

I married into the family that had lovingly rebuilt and expanded this great cabin compound on the lake. Four couples can comfortably share the place for a memorable ski weekend. Families can hike, swim, ski, enjoy the fire pit and cook huge meals while gazing at alpenglow on distant mountains or at a shimmering silver ribbon that streches across the lake under a full moon. Enjoy!

We had a wonderful vacation celebrating Grandpa’s 60th b-day. The weather ended up just perfect even though we got a little scare arriving to hail and about 35 degrees. The sun came out the following day and the shorts came out! Visiting all the way from Sweden.

Ninth year and each gets better No bears but left the paw marks on window & door to let others see. Also, no mice. Just great place & time. Incredible fireworks displays from every direction on the 3rd & 4th.
