We greatly enjoyed our seven day stay at St. Pete Beach. Our condo was clean and very comfortable. We loved the easy, quick access to the beach and that the condo was within a very short walking distance to restaurants and grocery shopping. Our views were fantastic. We loved watching the sun rise while sitting on our deck and the sun set from the beach. It was great that there were beach chairs provided with our unit and we didn't have to rent them. We would most definitely stay here again!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

We had the best time at Gulf Gate Resort #507. It was clean and, everthing we needed was there. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. There were so many great restaurants,bars and shopping within walking distance. Bob, the owner was great, he even called to check to make sure everthing was ok and that our vacation was going well. I would recommend this unit and we will be returning.Best PRICE AND BEACH FRONT!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The property was not extravagant by any means, but it was nice enough and great for a family vacation. All of the other guests in the condo were super friendly so it almost felt like we knew one another. The property managers were really great too. I didn't have laundry soap in my room, but they were happy to loan me a bottle to use. It was great to be so close to the beach, great restaurants, a grocery store and beach activities (wave runner rental, parasailing, etc.). Loved the fact that this property had sand toys in the closet, movies we could watch in the evenings, books, beach chairs, free wifi, etc. I didn't feel like it was super clean when we arrived, and after coming and going from the beach all week, it was pretty dirty by the time we left. I definitely missed having housekeeping on a daily basis. My only major complaint would be on the beds. They were extremely uncomfortable to the point where even my kids complained about them. I had the worst sleep ever there, but even with that, I would probably stay again. A nice place for the money.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car.

Had a fantastic time in St.Pete's beach, this was the first time we rented a condo (507). It was great, it was exacty like the pictures, except bigger - it even had a walk in closet! Everything was there, except the usual salt and pepper etc but all untensils, plates, pots/pans, even an ice maker. We didn't have to buy a beach umbrella or chairs, there were plently at the unit or at the pool area to borrow. The unit was spotless as well as the common areas, balcony in 507 had a great view of the bay. Nice way to cap off a beautiful day at the beach on the balcony watching the boats in the bay. Bob was great, he even called to make sure everything was fine. It rained one morning so we went shopping at all the great discount stores (Marshall's, Ross's Dress for Less) We are coming back next year!!!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gulf Gate Resort from the minute we walked in the door, until the time we left! We were very pleased that our condo was so clean and well-stocked with all the necessities of home. Everything, including the lobby and the condo, itself, was clean and well-maintained. The condo owner called us on our first day there to answer any questions we might have, and to advise us of local restaurants and various nearby places of interest. It was quite refreshing to have the owner take a such a personal interest in the renter's well-being. Our condo faced the bay, so we were able to enjoy the morning sunrise from our balcony, as well as viewing the beautiful sunsets over St. Pete Beach. The location was excellent - we were close to restaurants, grocery stores (we even found a health food store just a few miles away), and we were right on the beach...or, if you prefer sitting by the pool, they have an outdoor pool and whirlpool, too! We highly recommend Gulf Gate Resort to everyone! Where else can you find such nice, clean place to relax and vacation for such a great price?! We will definitely be going back! Thank you to Bob and all the Staff, for making our 2012 St. Pete Beach vacation such a memorable one!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Simply put, this was a great experience. This was my first time using VRBO, and everything was incredibly easy. Bob and Gulf Gate were both excellent. The condo was exactly what we expected and we had a great trip. If I ever come back to St. Pete (hopefully soon!), I would love to be able to stay here again. All that was described in Bob's condo listing was accurate. The unit was very clean with new carpets in the living room and the bedroom. The decor and the kitchen plates could be updated. The property staff was always helpful with any questions or needs.(few) Gulf Gate's location couldn't be any better positioned. On the beach, overlooking the intercoastal waterway, restaurants galore and lots of shopping close by. The pool and BBQ area was very well maintained. We met and visited with a number of other renters poolside. Most had been coming to Gulf Gate for as many as 24 years. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 weeks at Bob's condo and will make plans to return next year.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car.

We had a great time at Gulf Gate Resort. The staff was very friendly and everyone greeted you with a smile. Our place was quiet and clean. the pool and spa were beautiful and was cleaned everyday. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to stay in St Pete beach and be close to everything. If you visit Pasa A Grille is a cute little area.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: For many years, each year, my MOM & DAD (Scranton,Pa.), and my Twin SISTER (Albuquerque,N.M.) and Myself (Rochester,N.Y.) would get together at the Condo. This Annual 'Childhood' Family Reunion get together, more than made the purchase of the Condo. worth it. I miss them very much and will always remember them on every visit to my condo.

Although I had won a trip to Hawaii, I couldn't afford to go back. My first real vacation.
My friend suggested that I should go to Florida as he loved it very much and owned Condo's on St. Pete Beach. After some coaxing, I decided to go in Oct.. I left the Chilly Northern Bleak Weather, flew at night on a air conditioned plane,, he Picked me up in a air conditioned car, and I checked into an air conditioned Condo..The next morning I opened the sliding patio door and felt the Warm Tropical Air, saw the Greenery and new this would be the next best thing to Hawaii. I made an offer on a Condo and purchased Condo # 507 at Gulf Gate Resort.
My Son loved St. Pete Beach so much, he bought a Condo nearby on the Beach.
