Had a fantastic time in St.Pete's beach, this was the first time we rented a condo (507). It was great, it was exacty like the pictures, except bigger - it even had a walk in closet! Everything was there, except the usual salt and pepper etc but all untensils, plates, pots/pans, even an ice maker. We didn't have to buy a beach umbrella or chairs, there were plently at the unit or at the pool area to borrow. The unit was spotless as well as the common areas, balcony in 507 had a great view of the bay. Nice way to cap off a beautiful day at the beach on the balcony watching the boats in the bay. Bob was great, he even called to make sure everything was fine. It rained one morning so we went shopping at all the great discount stores (Marshall's, Ross's Dress for Less) We are coming back next year!!!

St. Pete Beach 2012

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gulf Gate Resort from the minute we walked in the door, until the time we left! We were very pleased that our condo was so clean and well-stocked with all the necessities of home. Everything, including the lobby and the condo, itself, was clean and well-maintained. The condo owner called us on our first day there to answer any questions we might have, and to advise us of local restaurants and various nearby places of interest. It was quite refreshing to have the owner take a such a personal interest in the renter's well-being. Our condo faced the bay, so we were able to enjoy the morning sunrise from our balcony, as well as viewing the beautiful sunsets over St. Pete Beach. The location was excellent - we were close to restaurants, grocery stores (we even found a health food store just a few miles away), and we were right on the beach...or, if you prefer sitting by the pool, they have an outdoor pool and whirlpool, too! We highly recommend Gulf Gate Resort to everyone! Where else can you find such nice, clean place to relax and vacation for such a great price?! We will definitely be going back! Thank you to Bob and all the Staff, for making our 2012 St. Pete Beach vacation such a memorable one!

Simply put, this was a great experience. This was my first time using VRBO, and everything was incredibly easy. Bob and Gulf Gate were both excellent. The condo was exactly what we expected and we had a great trip. If I ever come back to St. Pete (hopefully soon!), I would love to be able to stay here again. Thanks for a great vacation, Bob!

Four Weeks of Perfect Weather

All that was described in Bob's condo listing was accurate. The unit was very clean with new carpets in the living room and the bedroom. The decor and the kitchen plates could be updated. The property staff was always helpful with any questions or needs.(few) Gulf Gate's location couldn't be any better positioned. On the beach, overlooking the intercoastal waterway, restaurants galore and lots of shopping close by. The pool and BBQ area was very well maintained. We met and visited with a number of other renters poolside. Most had been coming to Gulf Gate for as many as 24 years. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 weeks at Bob's condo and will make plans to return next year.

We had a great time at Gulf Gate Resort. The staff was very friendly and everyone greeted you with a smile. Our place was quiet and clean. the pool and spa were beautiful and was cleaned everyday. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to stay in St Pete beach and be close to everything. If you visit Pasa A Grille is a cute little area.

This condo is on the 5th floor. This is the top floor, so there is no noise from someone above you. The view is magnificent--looking towards the intracoastal bay area and over to Gulfport on the other side of the bay. Furniture was very comfortable. Balcony was very nice. No maintenance issues. The condo was clean, no bugs. Unit came with a covered parking spot--good for those hot, sunny Florida days. Very close to dining, shopping, Publix supermarket. Speaking of dining, Cafe Luna about a mile away was excellent, and Mad Fish (upscale diner about a block away) had great appetizers, entrees there were good, not great. The condo complex is on the beach, so there is no street to cross to get to the beach. The condo had plenty of beach accoutrements--beach chairs, beach umbrella, etc. We will absolutely stay in this same condo again when we go back to St. Pete Beach.

The beach is beautful and is great for long walks. It is very quiet, and has wonderful,new grills for use. The staff is very nice, and I would like to return for a couples get away. Not really great for teenage girls, (too quiet for them)

Gulf Gate Resort vacation My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Gulf Gate Resort in St. Pete Beach condo # 507 due to the fact that we had pleasant stays there in the past. We are repeat customers because we feel so at home and enjoy the condo ammenities as well as the location. There is lots to do and comfort is a big plus when settling in for the evening. We enjoy the beach, pool, and relaxing on the private patio overlooking the bay. We are looking forward to our return trip. PS - I told a friend of mine that used to live in St. Pete that we stayed at Gulf Gate Condos and recommended your place to her.

Great Relief from a Long Hard Winter

I spent 4 nights here with my wife and two girls (ages 11, 14) without a drop of rain and temps in the high 80s everyday. This was such a nice vacation after a long hard winter in upstate NY. The room and resort was accurately described. This bayview room had great sunrise view. We enjoyed being right on the beach and used the pool a lot too. Being on the 5th floor was a little inconvenient if you had to make a few trips to the room but the view was good from the balcony. Besides the beach, highlights of our trip included Skidder's restaurant and parasailing on the "Air Force One" at Captain Mike's (just south on the beach). Both were within walking distance. Also within walking distance was a Publix, Village Inn (great pie & coffee), and the Beach Mart. We also took the car to Siesta Key one day and to "The Pier" in St Petersburg one evening. I'd definitely consider staying here again if in St. Pete Beach.

Perfect Location and fantastic property! Condo 507 is immaculate and has a breathtaking view of the bay from the living room patio doors , awake every morning to Sunrise and Sailboats. Walk the Beach every evening and enjoy Spectacular Sunsets. The listing description and photos are totally accurate. The condo management and maintenance team are friendly, available, and efficient. The heated pool and jacuzzi area are spotless and beautiful at night with different colored lights reflecting on the water, very relaxing. The building is secure, no entry without a key. Location is great. You can walk to grocery store, drug store, and restaurants. The trolley stop is in front of condo building, Rental car is across the street, and a bicycle rental shop is just up the street. This is the perfect R&R vacation. Dear Bob Last week we stayed at your condo # 507 in St. Pete Beach and we must congratulate you with such a nice place. Everything you need is there and the view from the balcony is stunning. The resort itself is really laid back and the people are very nice and helpful. It attracts people who are looking for peace and quiet and that creates the pleasant atmosphere. My wife, my 10 month old daughter, and I stayed here from 6/16 to 6/19. Everything was great: unit was clean and well maintained, nice view of Boca Ciega Bay, beach was beautiful, complex had a pool and grills. Publix is right across the street, which was nice because we mostly ate in. There are lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance, though. It is a great unit in a great complex in a great part of St. Pete Beach at a great price in my opinion. We would come back to this unit.

Bob, We really had a nice stay at your lovely condo 507 It' nicely decorated and had everything we needed. The kingsize bed slept comfortably. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet. The fireworks were awesome .The parking place was perfect. Anna Marie was so nice and friendly .We hope to come back again. Bob and the Gulf Gate Resort staff were wonderful and very helpful! Bob even called us personally to make sure our needs were met and questions answered. Staff were very accomodating of our after hours arrival, and willing to work out arrangements for us to get our key. It was nice to be right on the beach. We saw dolphins on several occassions. Location was nice- especially when our 4yo was tired at the beach, and needed to go in and rest. One adult could go back to the condo with him, while the other parent easily could stay on the beach with big brother. We were impressed by the number of families who shared, they visit the property annually (some saying they had been using this property for 20+ years) Easy drive from airport. Gas grills and picnic table by pool made a convienent spot to enjoy fresh grilled seafood (from the grocery store 2 blocks away) Probably one of the cleanest units I have ever stayed in. The decor was a bit dated--but everything else was so wonderful--that wasn't a big deal. Nice to have access to DVD player on HD TV. History buffs would enjoy Ft Desoto--just 15 minutes away--gorgeous beach there in addition to the Ft. Our kids loved the Aquarium in Tampa! Under bldg parking kept our rental car shaded, and much cooler than if we had parked in direct sun. Having a kitchen/cooking facilities was also a God-send with small children. We were able to prepare healthy food we knew they would eat instead of wasting money on half eaten deep-fried kids meals from restaurants. Our kids really thought it was great to sit at the breakfast bar on the stools. My 4yo said" Mom it's like being at a restaurant, but you make the food" When we did eat out, great restaurants nearby! Our fav--"Sea Critters" just down the road in Passe-a-Grille--Crabby Bills also very tasty and a short walk from the condo with beach view. It was also nice to have access to the washer/dryer in condo. It was my first beach vacation without wet clothes hanging to dry everywhere. So nice to put on a completely dry bathing suit in the morning We are definitely considering returning!

We were in St. Pete's this year in March for a family wedding and it was our first time at the Gulf Gate. I have to say everything was as Bob said it would be. I didn't have any doubts, however, as we stayed at "Bob's son's condo before and his was excellent as well. It was very clean and exceptionally well stocked with linens and dishes. We had people visit us who were down for the wedding and they marveled over the view we had, the size of the unit and all the dishes in our unit as the place they were staying had very little. The open concept of the kitchen/dining and living room facing the balcony and the bay was gorgeous. Actually the balcony was a "god send". We usually go to Florida in May but because of the wedding we were there earlier. The weather was unseasonably cold, according to the locals. But we had the sun on our balcony from morning til 2:00 and it was sort of sheltered by the wind so we ended up with nice tans anyway. The management were very helpful and friendly. While we were there Bob called to check on things and had a lengthy chat with my husband. He is so personable. We would definitely recommend his unit and hopefully we'll be back at Bob's next May.

I spent an enjoyable 12 days in #507 in December. I completely agree with the comprehensive comments immediately below. I would only add that a further convenience is that the Suncoast Beach Trolley, which runs from Pass a Grille to Clearwater, stops nearby.

We just spent a week in this great unit and I miss it already! The condo is spacious, immaculate, well equipped, and has a nice layout. It looks exactly like it does in the pictures, if not better. It has everything you need to enjoy a great vacation...I especially loved the washer/dryer, reserved covered parking space, comfy king bed, and 32" Sony LCD with DVD player. The Gulf Gate property staff is friendly and helpful. Great location, the Dolphin Village shopping center is a 3 minute walk and has a Publix as well as several restaurants, souvenir/beach shops, dollar store, etc. There's a shopping cart right in the unit that you can use for groceries. It's just a few steps from the condo to a peaceful, clean part of the beach. The private balcony is very roomy with a great view of Boca Ciega Bay. Oh, and bring your laptop. The wifi here is free, and rock solid with excellent speeds. This condo is so peaceful and quiet. The owner, Bob, is great, really helpful, and very responsive to any questions you may have. I recommend this rental to anyone, especially to a couple wanting a nice, quiet beach getaway.

In August we stayed in unit 507 at the Gulfgate Resort. We have stayed at this unit before and are booked again for another two weeks next August. We think the unit is awesome and has everything one needs to make a vacation wonderful. The view of the bay is beautiful and relaxing. We just had a very enjoyable vacation at this condo. It's just steps from the gorgeous beach. It has a nice layout and is fully equipped including washer/dryer and tv/dvd. I recently returned from a brief, but very enjoyable stay in unit #507 at Gulf Gate. The condo was immaculate. The proximity to the beach, shopping, and restaurants made it perfect. After a day on the beach, it was so very nice to have such a clean, comfortable, well-equipped place to spend the evening. My time at Gulf Gate provided the solitude that I was looking for! I hope to return next summer for a longer time. You will not be disappointed with this condo.

We stayed at this condo during the week of the 4th of July and it was perfect. The owner of the condo, Bob, was very easy to communicate with and he made sure we had everything we needed. The condo was extremely clean and it had every ammenity you could possibly need. The location was perfect! The condo is directly on the beach and you are 2-3 miles from anything you could need. This is our fifth year in a row staying in room 507. Again the stay was fantastic. The view from the balcony is breath taking, seeing the sun rise in the morning, boats going up and down the bay, and even the lightning at night. Hi Bob This has been our 3rd time staying in your Condo unit #507. We had a great time as always! Every convenience is right at your fingertips. We enjoyed the clean, spacious unit with so many wonderful upgrades you made! The sunrise balcony view is fantastic and we used the gas grill, billiards room, swam in the gulf and the beautiful pool. The location can't be beat. We walked right across the street to IHOP for breakfast and the shopping plaza afterwards. Great fishing spots and so much to see and do close by. We really enjoyed our stay in the condo. It had everything we needed and it's very clean and was recently updated with new carpeting and a HD TV. The view of the bay from our 5th floor balcony was great. The Gulf gate complex is in an excellent location on the beach and close to shopping and restaurants. Everything is kept neat and clean and the complex was very quiet. We talked to several other people who have been coming to Gulf Gate for years. Bob checked in with us before and after our stay to make sure everything was OK. We highly recommend Bob's condo and hope to stay there again next year.

Hooked-on-Fla Mount Pearl, Newfoundland & Labrador Oct 31, 2008 I booked 2 units...1 with a Beach View and 1 with the Bay View (#507). 2 couples in each unit! We were not disappointed. The unit is immaculate and the view is breathtaking. Sure you're looking over the Blvd, but beyond the Bouleveard is the Bay and the beautiful morning sunrise. You cannot go wrong with this unit!

The unit was beautifully maintained, steps to the beach and the sunrise from the balcony, with that awesome bay view was incredible. Most relaxing week I've had in a long time. Great restaurants in easy walking distance, quiet unit, quiet building, and everything I wanted was at my fingertips. The "check up" call by Bob was really nice too! I'll be back, for sure!

A very enjoyable place for two seniors to honeymoon even though we live on the same beach just a couple miles away. We really appreciated the peaceful and pleasant atmosphere. The condo had everything we needed and the office staff was very accomodating.

We found this condo to be very nice and clean. The grounds, pool and building were very well maintained. The location on the beach was great. It was nice to be within walking distance of grocery store, restaurants, etc. The view from the balcony of the bay was very enjoyable. The staff was always very friendly and accommodating. Bob was very good at keeping in touch with us before and after our stay.

This is our forth year staying in Unit 507. We have stayed at several different places in St Pete's Beach but found this to be the best. The view from the balcony is beautiful and the condo itself is very clean and bright.There have been several improvements this year such as new furniture,plumbing fixtures etc which really makes it that more enjoyable. I have to also mention the staff at Gulf Gate Resort they are very friendly and always there to help you.We would also like to thank the owner Bob who kept in contact with us before and after our vacation to make sure everything went smoothly with no problems. We have recommended this condo to several people and will continue to promote it.

We had a wonderful time at this condo. It was spacious, clean and had everything you needed. The balcony was great with lots of room and watching the sunrise over the bay was beautiful. The pool/hot tub area was nice. The staff and other guests are very friendly and helpful. Lots of great restaurants and beach bars are nearby. We can't wait to come back again.

We really enjoyed staying in your condo. It was bright,fresh,fully-equipped just as it was described to us. It seemed that a week might not of been long enough. It was really everything Bob said it would be as we were very satisfied. We also would like to say that Anna Marie in the office was one of the nicest people you will meet. She answered all our questions and was very helpful in making our stay a pleasant one. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you

This unit is beautiful and the location can't be beat. It's on the beach, has a lovely pool and hot tub area, and is within walking distance of restaurants and shops. the view of Boca Ciega Bay from the balcony is extraordinary. Staff is friendly and efficient. Grounds and building well maintained.

We had a GREAT time at your condo!! The location was perfect. The condo is bright & airy and very large for a one bedroom. Even though I didn't cook one single thing(can you blame me, I'm on vacation!)there were plenty of utensils, pots, pans, dishes etc. The condo is close to everything and we enjoyed the pool and our wonderful walks on the beach! The view from the 5th floor across Boca Ciega Bay was magnificant. The service at the office was excellent. The furnishing were wonderful and it was immaculate. I would recommend this condo to anyone, and I would also stay again.
