This Green Valley home is quiet, clean, and comfortable. Green Valley is located about 20 miles south of Tucson with a desert climate that is typically sunshiny and warm. The home is in the Villages, an age-restricted community, requiring that at least one resident be over 55. It is about one-and-one-half blocks from local community center containing a lovely pool and spa, tennis courts, shuffleboard, and many activities. We are not members of GVR. It is a wonderful neighborhood with friendly neighbors and many activities.
The stand-alone house has two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed and bath with a roomy shower. There is a double-size bed in the second bedroom and a full-sized sleeper sofa in the living room, for the visits from the grandchildren. There are TVs with remotes in both bedrooms.
The house has new tile floors, completed in September of 2009. The breakfast nook has a table which comfortably seats two. The table in the adjoining dining room seats four to six. In the living room you will find comfortable seating and an entertainment center with cable TV, a DVD player, and VCR. A wall of patio doors look out on to a private walled backyard with mountain views and a patio containing an eating area and gas barbecue. For convenience the pantry/laundry room off the kitchen has ample room for storage. High speed wireless internet is included but there is not a computer in the house at this time.
The pool and community center is within walking distance and nearby you will find grocery stores, drug stores and everything else you will need to make your stay comfortable. There is easy access to I-19 and downtown Green Valley. Surrounding Green Valley are many golf courses and other points of interest in the area such as Madeira Valley, renowned for bird watching, the Desert Museum, the Tubac artist colony and Kartchner Caverns State Park. Nogales, Mexico, is approximately 40 miles south. The sun shines over 330 days a year in Arizona so your umbrella will not be needed. Mt. Lemmon, north of Tucson, is the southern-most ski area in the continental United States.
