Why the Owner Chose Cozumel Island
Alison and I first came to Cozumel on our honeymoon in 1982 and loved it. We then got our scuba certification and started going to the island as often as time and money would permit.
We like Cozumel because, unlike other dive destinations, there's so much to do out of the water. We'd stay in different places but always had the same bad choice: stay close to town in a pretty shabby place, or get a nice place but have to either walk a couple of miles or get a taxi to get anywhere. There were no nice places convenient to town. When we saw these condos being built, saw the fabulous location and the quality (built by an American builder to U.S. luxury standards), buying one was a no-brainer!

The fact that Cozumel has virtually no crime, "the safest Caribbean island" according to tripadvisor.com;
The convenience of being able to walk across the street to the grocery superstore;
Having an excellent restaurant with the best view on the island on the top floor of our condo building;
The short walk to other restaurants, shopping, nightlife, etc.;
Stepping off the private terrace and being right on the beach, not having to cross a busy street to get there or to the pool;
Having some of the best snorkeling on the island right off our beach;
Relaxing & dining on the covered terrace or the beach watching the boats (& cruise ships!) go by, feeling the ocean breezes;
Ordering room service or getting carry-out from the restaurant upstairs and just chilling out;
Choosing from a wide variety of things to do, or choosing to do nothing at all...

The "Mexican Super Walmart" directly across the street, also has fast food, multiplex cinema (American films).
35 minute ride to more shops, restaurants, eco-park, etc. Also get a bus or rental car to go to Cancun (45 minutes more).

"We stayed at Casa Del Mar for the week of June 10th. Fabulous place to stay! We especially enjoyed having coffee on the beach area watching the cruise ships dock. Location is great - yes, you can walk almost everywhere. Management was helpful in renting snorkeling equipment, arranging boat trips, etc. - you can be picked up right from your dock! The grocery store across the street was handy. I would definitely recommend staying here."

"We stayed at Casa Del Mar 5/26/07-6/2/07 and had a fabulous time. My family and I would have loved to have stayed an extra week. The condo was great! "The 1st floor was great access to the beach and pool. It wasn't crowded when we were there and we felt like we had our own private beach right in front of the condo. The kids also loved the hot tub. "The condo is large enough that the 8 of us never felt crowded at all. The balcony is great. The pictures on this website are extremely accurate. The proximity to the town was so close that we walked to restaurants and shops. The "Mexican Wal-mart" is right across the street and we went there several times. "We absolutely loved Cozumel and the condo and will definitely return. I have recommended Casa Del Mar to my family and friends. We spent one day at The Reef Club (an all-inclusive) and we would definitely stay at Casa Del Mar over the all-inclusive. We hope to return again soon. Thanks for a great week!"
