This is a wonderful place to get away from it all and just relax. The property is well off the road with beautiful walking trails through the private wooded property. The cabin itself was very clean. We would visit again.Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

What a great place! We were beyond surprised when we showed up to the cabin. The pictures on VRBO don't do it justice. The house is immaculate, the kitchen.. out of a magazine, great kitchen if you like to cook. A really nice deck and with gas BBQ, a sauna, jaccuzi tub and two very comfortable beds. Loved the gas pot bell stove.. really toasty and warm. The deck overlooks the lake and hundreds of acres of wonderful wooded forest. We plan to be back in the fall for a canoe and hiking trip.Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

I've been VRBO'ing for years now and this is one of my favorite VRBO places. Cabin is in excellent shape, clean, owner responded quickly, very well appointed, and super duper cozy. It is definitely a cook's kitchen, a spa goers bathroom, a good nights sleep bed, and games galore.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Really enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect for privacy. It is so beautiful set on a private lake with all kinds of trails through the woods. Got to see an eagle flying around the dock. It is so quiet - no road sounds. And completely dark at night except for the stars. A perfect get-away.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

I almost hate to write a review for fear this place will become more popular and booked when I want it! I used this beautiful place in the fall of 2009 as an artists retreat. We had a fairly large group and the owner generously let us use her garage for our art classes. Everyone is still talking about what an incredible experience this was. The accommodations, the surroundings and lasting memories will stay with us forever. You can not get more private than this place. There are no sounds except from nature herself. A beautiful private lake, wonderful walking trail through the woods and around the property, and a big open field for those nights you want to make smores by the firepit, The house is wonderful and very inviting. Big vaulted ceiling with that open room structure I personally love. The kitchen was great to use and nicer than my own, with a big fridge to hold all your goodies. Several of us made it a ritual to sit on the balcony and drink our morning coffee while looking out over the lake. One morning we even got to see a huge eagle flying over us! We have plans for another artists retreat in a few weeks and I am already packed and ready to go. It almost feels like I am going home.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation here in July 2007! The weather was very warm, so we made use of the lake by floating on rafts during the afternoon. Our dogs really enjoyed swimming and running through the trails. We hope to come back!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/2

This beautiful place was a perfect long weekend get-away for my husband, 2 dogs and myself. We loved the miles of trails to wander, and the peaceful lake to look at when out on the deck. Very nice furnishings and helpful owners. We'll definitely be back.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We thoroughly enjoyed our rainy weekend in your guest home. Our very favorable first impression continued to build throughout our stay. We were greeted by a long driveway leading to the guest house. Upon arrival at the guest house we noticed that someone is a very talented gardener. The gardens around the house were so beautiful even in the fall; they tempt me to visit each season. Our walks through your rolling woods and around the lakes were especially enjoyed by our dogs. We appreciated the ability to hose off the dogs and having dog towels available to make sure they didn't track any of their muddy mess onto your beautiful floors. Using the attached garage as a loading and unloading place helped us ensure the dogs were contained while we cleaned and dried them before allowing them in the living quarters. There was plenty of space for our dog beds on the master bedroom floor and on the spacious living area floors. Our boys (dogs) felt quite at home. And I think they enjoyed themselves as much as we did!My husband enjoyed the sauna a couple times daily. I enjoyed a soak in the spa tub. We both enjoyed the bath products so much that we stopped by Aveda and bought some after work today. Even though I didn’t cook much, I appreciated the fully equipped kitchen. Your claim about your well water is true in our opinion - very good! Normally we drink bottled water when we rent a place, but we enjoyed your water very much. The substantial quality of the building was a comfort when the thunderstorms played like a timpani section outside all night. We felt very safe sipping cocoa, enjoying the music, and reading with the flickering fire casting a glow and warmth. Then when we finally did retire, the bed was comfortable and the linens were the quality we have at home. It was one of the most restful weekends we have had in a long time. We hope to spend more time there in the future!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3
