We were thrilled with your home! There were many places to be comfortable, yet all seven of us gathered around the living room for morning coffee and evening cocktails. It was perfectly equipped for any kind of cooking we wanted to do. Dan and Everett couldn't have been more accommodating, and we ran into friendly, helpful people everywhere we turned. You might have noticed the weather was perfect too!

Our reunion with our family at your Penthouse was everything we had hoped and more. Everyone had the space necessary to be private, or to be involved, We so much enjoyed our meals as the city lit up behind us. All of the amenities were as you had promised they would be. Such easy access to everything in Chicago that we wished to see, and the shopping we needed just added a new dimension to our stay. On behalf of my whole family I thank you both.

My sister and I treated our dad to his 80th birthday in Chicago, where he used to go as a boy. This apartment was a "surprise" for dad and mom and we were ALL thrilled with how perfect it was. Great location, lots of room, beautifully appointed, lovely views etc. So much better than staying in a hotel! We love to cook so having a Trader Joe's and Whole Foods very nearby was a bonus, and the kitchen was well equipped too. Plus the "shared patio" had nice gas grills next to the pool. We'll be back!

Three couples traveled to Chicago for a wedding in the suburbs and decided to come up earlier in the week and stay in the heart of Chicago. My "job" was to find the place we would be staying. The property was one of the very few properties I found w 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms (the latter being most important!!) I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to be in a classy facility, feel 100% safe and know that the area has everything you might need. Much better than staying in a hotel. Grocery store right next to building has anything you could possibly need and open til midnite. Photos and owners accurately depicted the property. TV in living room didn't have a great connection. Kitchen well-stocked w kitchenware/paper towels, appliances, spices; bathrooms - each one was a full bathroom. Place was spotless. The doormen were very helpful. Highly recommend taking the Lady of Chicago Architecture boat tour. Weather during our stay was horrible (40's and rainy), but we went on the boat anyway---interesting and informative. Wanted to go to Cubs game but didn't bring warm enough clothes and certainly wasn't going to remove blankets from the Property. 2 and a half blocks from the Penthouse, you can catch a shuttle to take you to the Horseshoe casino just over the stateline in Indiana (about a 25 mins. ride). Owned by Harrahs, it's a lovely facility. If the weather had been decent, we probably wouldn't have thought to go to the casino since we wanted to see Chicago, but had a great time. Ribs at restaurant across the street were delicious. Several breakfast places within walkiing distance (we did not come to Chicago to cook!) Plenty of cabs. Bonus: not having to pay for parking while staying at the Grand Plaza. This is the first time using VRBO based on a friend's recommendation. Wow! Before coming, would definitely go on internet to find events etc that would be going on while you're there. Thank you Jim and Jeri-Lou

We absolutely loved our stay at the Penthouse at Grand Plaza! We stayed during the July 4th holiday, and it was perfect! The condo is very spacious and very clean, and the amenities were great! We loved the pool, and we visited the gym and basketball court every day! It was so convenient having a grocery store on the first floor of the building, and we were in walking distance of almost everywhere we wanted to go! Definitely 2 thumbs up!!!!

Our Girls getaway (June 26, 2011 to June 30, 2011) was fantastic beginning with renting The Penthouse @ Grand Plaza #2. It was everything the description and photos appeared in the rental ad which I found on trip advisor. The property was well maintained and clean. The owners Jim and Jeri-Lou were great in getting back to me with any questions or concerned I had. The Penthouse is within walking distance of Beauty and the Beast-Theater District which we really enjoyed. We also walked the Magnificient Mile, and enjoyed the Howl At the Moon Piano Bar. The Webber Grill restaurant across the street and Eggperience restaurant around the corner were very good. The Double-Decker Hop-on-Hop-off bus tour is a great way to get around and you can purchase the tickets across from the Hard Rock Cafe which is two blocks away. I would recommend this property to family and friends. I wish we could of had more time in Chicago, as there is so much to do. Hope to return one day and would not hesitate to rent the Penthouse again. Diane

A lovely condo with an amazing view! It was the perfect home base for us as we worked as well as entertained in Chicago. Convenient to many wonderful restaurants, transit, and shopping. There is a nice grocery store in the first floor of this building which could not have been more handy! The owners are very attentive and keep the place in first rate condition. Also, the building employees were friendly and helpful. There is an amenity level that has a pool, indoor basketball court, gym, whirlpool and swim in place lap pool, club room, and business center/library. This unit has a nicely sized and appointed kitchen as well as a washer/dryer for those traveling light. Beyond all of that, the wraparound terrace provides a breathtaking view of this fine city! So much more pleasant than a hotel stay when visiting Chicago, highly recommended!
