Owners very excellent to work with. Home was clean and well kept. Spacious. Great kitchen. Super bonus features: hot tub and sauna. Appreciated that every room had their own bathroom. Great views from the 'turret'. Excellent stay!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

My family and I (6) just spent three nights at the lighthouse over the past weekend and it was a very nice stay. We enjoyed the home and amenities very much as well as our time in Fernie. I would have no problem referring or using the lighthouse again in the future.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

This place is a treasure. Everything was perfect. Fully stocked kitchen, warm, cozy, no traffic noise. We loved it! Highly recommended. I want to make another trip to fernie just so I can stay there again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We had an amazing family Christmas here. The owners had decorated the house for our arrival which made it very welcoming. The house itself was very clean, comfortably large and exceptionally well equipped especially the kitchen which made cooking a Christmas dinner for eight people no problem. We took our labrador with us and as the house is next to the river and park which also has a dog area we could easily take her out for walks. The owners promptly answered all our queries and made sure we had everything we needed while we were there. I would certainly recommend this property to anyone staying in the Fernie area.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, sightseeing.

We had a great family weekend stay. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The house has lots of space which was perfect as we brought 5 teenagers with us for the weekend. The sauna was a real treat and the close access to the river/trails was just what we were looking for. We also really enjoyed the "lighthouse" both for morning coffee and late night star gazing!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car.

We were looking for accomodations for a family of seven for a weeks ski vacation over Christmas, and communicaiton with the owner was pleasent and efficient. The property was easy to get to in Fernie, and the home is everything in the pictures and more ! The house is beautiful and comfortable for a large group, and the amenities perfect ! Lots of space for everyone, and we all enjoyed the turret and the view of the moutains thorugh the supplied spotting scope. Relaxing in the evening in front of the fireplace in the living room with the high open ceiling was nice, and eveyone enjoyed regular saunas and hot tubs. The ski hill is a 5-10 minute drive, and we were able to come back to the house for lunch some days we didn't eat on the moutain. There is a major grocery store a few blocks away, restaurants, liquor store, gas stations, and other conveniences, yet the home sits back within a quiet residential neighbohood. We could not have asked for more for our family ski vaction, and this property was a great touchstone to come back to each evening. We would definately rent again !Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We just got back from a week of fishing in Fernie. The "lighthouse" was a great place to stay for the four of us. 4 full bedrooms and 3 complete bathrooms made the stay a pleasure. It is right on the river, so if you have time, you can walk across the road,and fish a prime location on the Elk. All the electronic entertainment options you could want and the wireless internet worked flawlessly. The home was spotless and had everything you could want for cooking and relaxing. Hope to book a return trip.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had a wonderful stay in this home. We really appreciated the comfortable furniture in the living room-there was plenty of seating for all and the extra large windows let in lots of light. One couple found "the tower" at the top of the house a favorite place for morning coffee, with it's breathtaking view of the mountains. There was just about everything one could possible need in the kitchen for making meals. This is definitely a home, not just a rental and it shows in the care the owners have taken in outfitting it. The hot tub was hot and very clean. There was even a patio heater so we could enjoy sitting outside in the cool evenings. The location was quiet, and within walking distance to shopping.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The house was beautiful, everything we were looking for! Loved the hot tub. Close to everything, biking and walking trails just outside the door. Wonderful view of the mountains. The house had everything in it that we needed to make our stay very comfortable. We loved eating out at many of the local restaurants, hiking at Island Lake Lodge, and so many other summer activities. Remember to bring your tubes to float down the river! I would definitely recommend this property to anyone! We hope to be back next year.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed for a week in August and enjoyed the warm days and cool nights. The scenery was spectacular, and the trails were easy to follow with river and mountain views. The town of Fernie has a great small town atmosphere and it is an easy walk to shops and restaurants as well as the aquatic center and other services such as the library.
