This is a very comfortable, family-friendly, newer home near the beach in beautiful Yachats. Our home is located just walking distance from downtown shops, restaurants, and the Adobe Restaurant/Resort. At our home, you are also a short 2 minute walk to the head of the 804 Trail, which winds along the coastal bluff. From the trail, you will have easy access to the beautiful beaches, where you can enjoy the unique lava rock formations, seals playing in the surf, starfish, shellfish, and fascinating tide pools.
There is room for one or two families, with plenty of games for those occasional rainy days. Half of our two car garage is also converted to a game area, with ping pong, darts, and a foosball table that will convert to a non-electric hockey table. Highspeed internet/WiFi access is available at no charge.
Outside, you will find a beautifully gardened yard with a hammock for relaxing, a charcoal barbecue, fire pit, and lawn furniture. Enjoy the beautiful sights and sounds of Yachats, our coastal gem!

Why the Owner Chose Yachats
Many fellow Oregonians told us their favorite spot on the Oregon Coast is Yachats. When searching for a coastal home of our own, we looked all along the Oregon Coast. We feel very fortunate that we found a home in Yachats and we are pleased to have the opportunity to share it with others. We take pride in keeping our home very well maintained, so we recently took over managing our home, the Starfish House ourselves.
The Unique Benefits of this House
We very much enjoy peeks of the oceans from our home, and listening to waves crashing on the rocks from the master bedroom. When we come to visit our coastal home, we always look forward to parking our car in the driveway and spending the rest of our visit walking...to the beach, along the 804 Trail, to downtown, on the boardwalk behind the library, to the park, and the Farmers Market.

Our time at this home was more than wonderful. It was very well maintained and the amenities were exactly as described. We enjoyed everything from the game room and large dining area for our entire family to enjoy, to the short walk to the beautiful beach. The weather was absolutely lovely as well! A great place to stay! A very clean, comfortable home – great for large families with a big dining table and several beds/baths. Good location – a short walk to town or the ocean, and close to the Adobe which has a nice restaurant. We were impressed with all that was provided - the owners thought of everything. Owners were friendly and great to work with! (I recommend putting the street address in the VRBO ad; it was the only thing missing when we arrived in Yachats:-) Thank you!

We spent a week at the Starfish house. The house is very comfortable, loved the colors and beach theme. Comfortable beds, great kitchen, dishwasher and washer/dryer made it so convenient for our family. Very close to the beach, plenty of parking. We were close to Newport, yet this area is so much less croweded. Enjoyed having beaches all to ourselves in August! I would recommend staying here, the price is amazing and it was a great location. Walport is only a short drive, we were walking distance to Yachats. Quiet neighborhood and a wonderful deck off the back, very relaxing. There is a large table in the diningroom and lots of games, we hardly turned on the TV and instead had lots of family game nights after a short walk to watch the sunset. If you want to be out of the hussle and bussle of Newport, yet a short distance away, I would highly recommend the Starfish House. We visited the Oregon Coast Aquarium, the dunes in Florence, the kids went hiking on several area trails. We took tons of pictures in the area. The owners were great to work with, very helpful. It was nice to be able to take our dog and we will be back in the future.

Stayed at this house for a mom's-weekend-out with several friends. It was wonderful -- clean, comfortable, well-maintained, and close to the beach. The large kitchen table had ample space for all 7 of us and beds were comfortable. We were all impressed and will definitely return with our families. Thank you!

We just completed a mid-season deep clean. The master bedroom now has a new king bed. We installed all new duct-work and cleaned all the carpets. Come visit and enjoy our renovated space inside and out! We are looking forward to whale watching this fall.

We have worked hard to repaint 90% of the interior and we have completely repainted the exterior. It is much brighter and "fun" with its beach colors, new shutters, window boxes and NEW LIGHTING! We have also replaced our dining room table so it can now accomodate 10 people for your holiday parties. Cable TV is now set up with new TVs and players in three rooms. Wi-Fi DSL is still very popular with many of our guests. The whale watching has been great this fall and agates can be found on most of the beach areas. Come visit and enjoy all that the area has to offer!

We are doing constant renovation to this property to make it increasingly comfortable for our guests. You can anticipate cable TV extended to all bedrooms in March and the entire interior and exterior will be repainted during Spring Break. Look forward to many new ammenities in the future.
