Location: Ptarmigan Townhomes, West Vail, Vail, Northwest, Colorado, USA (Bus stop for free bus seconds away, 3 min to grocery st)

Accommodations:  Townhouse, 2 Bedrooms + Loft + Den, 3 Baths (Sleeps 6-8)

World class skiing is 3 minutes away from your door step. Ride the free Vail ski bus - bus stop is steps from the townhouse. Begin your ski day on the Cascade lift - 3 minutes away.

This newly remodeled townhouse is cozy and convenient - the complete mountain experience. It has a brand new kitchen with granite countertops, maple cabinets, and new appliances. Cooks - you'll love the KitchenAid stove top and oven! The dining table sits 8; there is also extra seating room at the counter that extends into the dining area. The wood burning fireplace and flat screen TV in the sunken living area makes the perfect setting to curl up after a day on the mountain. The complex has a hot-tub in its own facility to soak and relax! It's steps away from Unit #36.

Sleeping accomodations are upstairs, with 2 bedrooms, a den, and a loft - maximum capacity of 8. The master has a beautiful brass, king size bed and a flat screen TV. The second bedroom also has a brass bed with a brand new queen size matress and a TV. This bedroom has it's own bathroom - full size with a convenient walk-in closet. The den has a bunk bed and a sleeper couch. A step ladder goes to the loft where there is extra sleeping room -2 double mattresses. Kids love this space.

The grocery stores (Safeway and City Market) are 3 minutes away via bus or car.

The rates are lower for this unit due to owner management. One stay at this unit and you will want to come back again and again.

No pets/No smoking.

  • Our family enjoyed a very memorable weekend in the Ptarmigan townhomes. There were 24 of us that stayed in 3 different townhomes while in Vail for a family wedding. Our family stayed in Bear Paw and felt right at home the minute we walked in the door! Maureen couldn't have been more helpful in arranging the accomodations for us, including letting us host a wedding rehearsal dinner right next to the Gore River! This was a weekend we will never forget!

  • We stayed during the first week of March 2008 and plan on coming back for more in the spring of 2009. The location can't be beat as you're close to the shuttle, groceries, and the highway. Plus, the creek was beautiful.

  • What a great condo! It was perfect. There was firewood for the fireplace - which was great since it snowed every day. The grill was great and I couldn't believe how convenient the bus was. The condo is huge and we spent several evenings pplayign games around the dinign room table. Thanks for the wonderful time I was able to spend with my family in such a comfortable and homey place.

  • Wow talk about a great place to spend some vacationaing time. The house was the perfect location, you literally walk out the door to the bus stop and you off to the slopes! When we were tired of sking, we had a blast relaxing in the hot tub or hanging out in the cozy living room watching movies on the huge TV. Wish I was still there. Such a nice place to stay, THANKS!!!

  • We just returned from a week of skiing in Paradise, as we call it. Sunny days, great snow and a superb place to stay. This townhouse is everything one needs to enjoy Vail. The location was perfect, just steps away from the town Shuttle and food store. The new kitchen and baths were really nice and the rustic feel of the space was perfect as well. It is CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN. It was also quiet and restful after a full day on the Mountain.

  • I brought my family of 6 out to Vail (along with my brother and his son) for a perfect Rocky Mountain ski trip. The weather was perfect with sun and blue skies for 4 days straight. This condo was yet another piece to our perfect vacation. Don't even think twice about the cleanliness, comfort, or convenience of this condo. Hats off to Maureen and family for a top notch place. We loved it!!! The condo is super stocked with EVERYTHING you need. It is super clean and cozy. The bus stop is right across the street and ONE stop from the Cascade lift. Trust me, you'll love everything about this place...
