Wonderful 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house in one of Scandinavia’s most desirable and exclusive areas

The house sleeps 5 in beds plus 2 on a sofa/day bed in the living room

Höllviken is a town of 15,000 inhabitants, and lies on a forested peninsula of outstanding natural beauty with some of Europe’s finest white powder sand beaches. There are magnificent views across the sea to nearby Copenhagen (Denmark’s capital and Scandinavia’s most vibrant city) and Malmö (Sweden’s 3rd city and regional capital)

Buses depart frequently (up to every 10 minutes) from the end of the road to both Malmö (2 stops/15 minutes away) and to Copenhagen (via Hyllie railway station – 20 minutes express bus to the station and then 12 minutes rail/1 stop to Copenhagen airport or 25 minutes rail/4 stops to Copenhagen central station) over the magnificent bridge between Denmark and Sweden

There is ample private parking for at least 3 cars

Höllviken has 2 excellent pubs, many restaurants (Thai, Japanese, Italian, Danish, Chinese, Spanish Tapas etc), supermarkets, shops, a 2 screen digital cinema, a recreated Viking village museum, an amber museum and many other attractions and amenities all within walking distance

Ornithologists from all over the world visit in Autumn since the peninsula is the main gathering point for migratory birds flying from Scandinavia for the summer. Bicycle paths wind through protected forests, and seals can be seen close to shore.

Some of Scandinavias oldest and finest links golf courses are on the peninsula (Falsterbo and Ljunghusen)

Fresh cod, herring, salmon and other Baltic fish can be bought directly from fishing boats at nearby Skanör harbour, while smokery restaurants and cafes offer some fantastic traditional Scandinavian seafood

Ales Stenar (Sweden’s Stonehenge) is close by, together with many stately homes, historical towns and cities, Hamlets castle, Louisiana modern art gallery and other world-class attractions on both sides of the straights of Denmark

The house is very quiet, non-smoking and pet free with hard floors and modern high quality Scandinavian furnishing. About the owner: A British professional of high integrity, working in London and Sweden. The property is available for the weeks that it is not used by the family. Families and groups from Sweden, Denmark, Netherlands, USA amongst others have rented the property during the last 3 years, and have been delighted with their holidays.

Why the Owner Chose Malmo:
Has been our family home since 2002, and has only been available for rental for selected weeks from summer 2011 The nearby historic hanseatic league towns of Skanor and Falsterbo are picturesque and have wonderful beaches a 20 minute cycle ride away from Hollviken But we chose a house in Hollviken because it is convenient for the nearby cities of Malmo and Copenhagen, has a beautiful beach, and has lots of shops and restaurants, museums and a cinema For many people, Hollviken is the ultimate place to live in the Copenhagen/Malmo area, with excellent local amenities, very safe, a summer paradise for families and groups, and easy travel to both surrounding rural areas and the vibrant cities of Copenhagen, Malmo and Lund
