3 year old 2 story custom home, tropical interior theme, 2 master bedrooms (one down stairs) - king size beds, 3 bedrooms over look the lake, 2 bedrooms have 2 sets of trundle beds plus 2 twin sofa beds, beautiful kitchen and family room overlooking the lake, dock with ski boat (or comparable boat type) "lift" plus a slip for pontoon or patio type boat, dock has ladder for swimmers, jet ski and boat rentals within a mile at the Walden Marina (JustForFun and LakeConroeBoatRentals), Walden Racquet Club and Gym one block.
Walden is know for Golf and Tennis as well as water activities. Short walk to racquet club (tennis pro available for instruction),short drive to the Walden Golf Course. The Yacht Club features a large pool for adults and children. Dine at the Walden Yacht Club or Golf Course, other local restaurants are a short drive. Many other golf courses are available within a 15-30 min drive. Montgomery has historical homes and antique shops within 15 minute drive. Located 20 minutes from the Conroe Outlet mall and 35 minutes from the Woodlands Mall, Waterway, Market Street and many upscale restaurants, 1.5 hours north-north west of Houston via I-45/105. Lake Conroe is a 22,000 acre lake (9000 hectares)boarded on the north by the Sam Houston National Forest.

Hanging out on the Lake
VRBO Bear stayed here - 03/21/2008 Wow, everything is bigger and better in Texas! We had a great time staying on Lake Conroe. We loved being right on the lake because there is so much to do, and we were never bored. We had fun water skiing, jet skiing, house boating, and Papa Bear swam in the lake. But if you'd rather relax, then you can just sit on the dock and enjoy the beauty of Lake Conroe like Mama Bear did! There are also plenty of restaurants and stores around the Lake, so you never have to travel very far to get what you need.
If staying on the lake wasn't enough, having such a nice house to stay at made it even better. This house had everything we needed to make us feel right at home. We were very pleased with the fully stocked kitchen, beautiful granite countertops, new appliances, and handcrafted cabinets with detailed crown molding. We loved the safari décor and the detail to each piece. The master bedroom was wonderful with the king-size bed, deck right off the master, Jacuzzi tub, walk-in closet, double sink and large shower.
We loved being in a nice quiet town like Conroe, but being close enough to a major town that we could drive there if we wanted. There was a mall within 15 minutes, more restaurants then you could eat at, and if you wanted to drive to Houston, it was just another 45 minutes further with tons more things to do.
We are already planning our next trip to Lake Conroe in the future. I hope you come and experience all Texas has to offer!
