To Sun Valley's north lie the largest tracts of virgin forests, most un-scaled mountains, and the largest stretches of individual mountain ranges in the lower 48. The longest, and the wildest wilderness rivers in the continental United States also survive here rendering more than 3,500 miles of floatable water. With over 400 peaks topping the 10,000-foot mark and over 10,000 pristine unspoiled alpine lakes, if one were rendered a dozen lifetimes, not all could be seen. This site is only a minuscule attempt at introducing these most incredibly beautiful and seldom seen portions of our Earth known as CENTRAL IDAHO.

Basil Service has hiked, skied, fished, rafted, kayaked, climbed and mountain biked through nearly 6,000 miles of central Idaho’s most remote and primitive regions. Third generation Idaho native and a graduate of Pocatello’s Idaho State University, Basil has been affiliated with the ski schools of Skyline (Pebble Creek), Grand Targhee and Sun Valley. 30 year fully certified (Level III) instructor with the Professional Ski Instructors of America, Basil is now starting his 18th season with the Sun Valley Ski School. Basil’s writings and photographs have appeared in 4 books and over 20 periodical publication. With nearly 35 years of travels through this special section of our earth called “Central Idaho,” he has amassed a collection of over 20,000 color slides, has visited over 300 summits (including all Idaho’s 12,000.00 footers), over 1,000 mountain lakes and has skied off of nearly 100 central Idaho mountains. In the next 35 years he hopes to double that mark.

My family and I really enjoyed staying here. The teenagers could walk to all activities that they wanted to go too. We wood stay here again.

I have rented for many years in the Sun Valley area and this place is defiantly my favorite. The location and the accommodations for the price is without question, not equaled. I defiantly recommend.

My first time renting directly from a property owner and had a very pleasant experience. The place was very nice, clean and modern with the exception of some of the bedroom furniture. Nice flat screen television and the kitchen had everything a culinary chef needed to prepare any type of meal. Great gas fire place that provided plenty of romantic moments as well as actual warmth. Wonderful views from the deck of Sun Valley and her mountains. Location is what this place specializes in. We could walk to everything in just minutes.

We had a great time. There can’t be a better location in Sun Valley. Although we had a car we were able to walk to everything. The place is spacious and easily accommodated our group of 4. The in-house Wi-Fi was a tremendous asset to those who needed to conduct some business prior to playing. This was a beautiful complex and great looking townhouse. Thanks

This place has everything. Full Kitchen, Beautiful Swimming Pool and within walking distance of everything in Sun Valley and Ketchum. Owners very easy to deal with and accommodating . For the price the place was much more spacious than expected. This will become a yearly rental for our family.

March larger than expected with a great location. Within walking distance of everything in both Sun Valley and Ketchum. Full Kitchen with everything anyone could want to cook. Furniture slightly dated.
