I'm so sorry for not posting our review more promptly, it has been a whirl wind summer. My wife and I and our three children like to visit a new beach every year and this year we decided to visit Sanibel. That was a good decision because this turned out to be our best vacation yet! Susie was great to work with and the condo was immaculate. The condo is comfortable, open, updated and the views are spectacular! It really felt like home for our kids and was just perfect for what we needed. It felt like you were almost standing on the beach when you look out the back windows. The porch is great to enjoy morning coffee and evening wine. The covered parking is also nice and there is a storage closet where you can keep your beach toys and bikes. We brought our own bikes and got a lot of use out of them. The kids also really enjoyed the pool when we weren't at the beach. There are so many things to do on the island that i can't list them all, but I’ll give some of our highlights. We took lots of bike rides to visit local shops. Twice we stopped to watch a turtle cross the street. Shelling on the beaches of Sanibel is great. We visited the J. N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge and took the bus tour, which was awesome. We also visited the C.R.O.W. We took a sea life cruise for a couple hours where we got to see lots of dolphins jumping in the water and actually got out of the boat to collect sea life. We got to hold a puffer fish which the kids though was really cool. We also took scenic drives across the island and up through Captiva. The last thing i want to mention is our dining experiences. We stopped at the Publix right before the causeway to stock up on food, but we did eat out several times. For breakfast, you have to visit the Over Easy Cafe. By far the best. We ate dinner at three locations. The Island Cow was really nice, great food, great atmosphere (island time) and fun games to enjoy outside while you wait. We ate at the Mucky Duck which was also delicious, a bit more pricey but the view and food are worth it. The third place was the Blue Giraffe. They had great reviews so we tried it, but we didn't enjoy our food. And finally, at the recommendation of my in-laws, we had to purchase a fresh key-lime pie from Jerry's Foods. I'm not a huge key-lime guy but it was good. Thanks Susie for the great vacation experience!

My husband and I took our first trip to Sanibel last week. The condo was beautiful (newly renovated) and you could not beat the view of the Gulf right outside! We spent time fishing, parasailing (Zolo's/Captiva), took a tram tour in Ding Darling and visited C.R.O.W. (Center for rehabilitation of wildlife) very interesting! You will love the condo and the beautiful island. We highly recommend staying at this condo and visiting Sanibel.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This is the third time my family has stayed on Sanibel. This condo was the nicest place we have stayed. Our six month old loved the pool, and amazing beachfront location. The rest of us loved that the condo became home as soon as we opened the doors. Beautiful, comfortable and convenient. It was so nice to have an elevator to carry all of the baby stuff up. The covered parking also adds to convenience. Beautiful place, hated to come home to "real" world. Will be staying again. Owner called on check in day to make sure everything was perfect. Incredibly easy to deal with.

This condo is everything the description says...open, bright living area, nice upgraded kitchen & bathrooms, and so close to the water you feel like you're on the beach! Great location on the island also, very convenient to travel either direction. We saw dolphins swim by every day, along with all of the other birds, osprey nest, etc. We actually had a dolphin surface about 15 feet away from us in the water! If you choose this unit you won't be disappointed!

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

All I can say is WOW!!! Susie's condo was so beautiful, so close to the beach, & so tastefully decorated!! We woke up to the sounds of ocean waves & osprey calls every morning! The wildlife experiences, shelling, warm waters, & beautiful sunsets have us spoiled to any other beaches! We will always compare other beaches to Sanibel now! The condo was better than described & shown & Susie was always very helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone. You will not regret staying here. The only minor negative was the internet speed was really slow, but we managed fine. We would also recommend eating at the Mucky Duck in Captiva & going on the Sunset Private Charter Ride with Captain Mark. It was rated #1 attraction on Trip Advisor for good reason!! It was our best day here & definitely worth every penny! We could not have asked for a better beach getaway...this is definitely a slice of paradise we'll not forget! Even the dolphins came by on our last evening walk to wish us well! Thanks again for sharing your wonderful beach haven with us!!!

We arrived at the condo after spending a couple nights in a cottage just down the street. When we entered the condo we were blown away by the beautiful ocean view and it semed we were practically standing on the beach from inside the living area. What a great place !! It had more amenities than we needed, a very comfortable bed in the master suite, remodeled bath, very nice kitchen and a large laundry area. The screened in porch overlooking the beach adjoins the master suite and we could listen to the ocean waves all night long. The swimming pool area was also nice - plenty of shade and sun. Susie, owner, was very helpful...she answered all my questions before arriving and was easily accessible during our stay. It was comforting knowing we could call her with any issues that may arise. We looked around the area and couldn't find a place nicer than this for the price...we will stay there when returning to Sanibel.

My wife and I stayed here during the week of September 11 - 18, 2010. We choose this condo after careful research of all available condos, hotels and resorts. Some are more expensive and some less, but none offered the value of a beautifully decorated, two bedroom, two bath condo looking straight out on the Gulf and very close to the beach. Having never been here before, I was concerned about the unknown, such as would there be a TV in the bedrooms? Would cable TV be the very basic? Would there be sufficient cutlery, glasses and plates? Basic condiments? The answer to all was yes. EVERYTHING you could conceivably need are there. TV in every bedroom and complete cable along with wifi for a computer, if you should carry one with you. We did to check weather and emails. The waterfront is extraordinary. Large picture windows look straight out on the beach where we saw incredible numbers of every type of seabird imaginable. Several times I saw dolphins playing in the surf, once only a few feet from a couple standing at the water's edge - apparently checking out the people! This is a wildlife lover's dream. At the time of year we were there, thunderstorms build up almost every day and you can watch the display out over the gulf from the screened-in patio or through the windows in the condo but don't have your lights on because it can disorient the huge turtles that come up on the beach at night to lay their eggs! Of course, as Sanibel Island is known to be one of the top shelling locations in the world, you can walk along just outside your condo for the best selection. After one day with strong surf from a distant storm, many more were uncovered. Sanibel has many fine restaurants and attractions which can be found with a little research and Tripadvisor.com. Overall, this is the best value for what you get on the island. We didn't want to leave. We could live there!

I wanted to be sure to leave you a note to let you know what a great time we had. It has ben a very rough Illinios winter and keeping this "vision" in the back of our minds got us through. The condo is in the perfect location - it's spacious & so "homey". the view from here alone made it hard to do anything but take it all in. We shopped, biked and ate at all the great stops...but it always felt so good to come back to here. Not sure how I will drink my coffee next week without the lanai! Our family is taking shells back and many memories. We hope to visit and stay here again...thanks so much! A perfect vacation...pretty sure a part of my sould now resides on this beach.

Island Beach Club is the perfect location for a relaxing beach vacation. This beachfront unit is only steps away from the awesome shelling on Sanibel Island. We've stayed in this unit several times on our annual trip to Sanibel and found the accomodations and location just perfect. The unit is well maintained and the view of the December sunset from the lanai is simply beautiful. If you enjoy golf, the nearby Beachview Golf Club is a terrific option with challenging holes and spectacular Florida wildlife. We've found the shelling on the stretch of beach in front of Island Beach Club to be the best on the island, especially after high surf. So if you collect shells, this is the place to be!

We have been coming to Sanibel for many years. We have visited and stayed at several places on the island. After we found "Susie's" condo we have gone to no other. The unit is great and the proximity to the water makes a stay at "Susie's a keeper. I actually do not want to recommend it because then I will have to compete with everyone that will fall in love with this place. We have come to think of Susie's condo as our home at Sanibel and look forward to our return every year.

We've stayed at this property the past 3 out of 4 years we've been going to Sanibel with our 3 young daughters and we love it! In fact, we already have our reservations set for next year...The condo complex is well-maintained and the beachfront and pool are never crowded when we go in April. This unit is very large for a 2-bedroom, with a well-equipped kitchen (granite countertops) and a very nice-sized living room and screened-in deck which both overlook the ocean. The master bedroom is HUGE and opens onto the deck. The unit's proximity to the beach can't be beat--especially with small children and their beach gear in tow. It's a couple of quick steps to the surf and shells, and the owners have a well-stocked storage area with beach toys and shelling nets. We eat breakfasts and lunches out on the deck and feel like we haven't left the beach--it's so close! We would never rent anywhere else in Sanibel!

We just returned from a most relaxing vacation in Sanibel. What made our vacation so wonderful and relaxing was the attention to details by the Kentners. They thought of everything!! The view and the closeness to the beach was amazing, magnificent, fantastic, awesome-I could go on and on!!! Thank you for sharing your lovely condo with us. We had a wonderful time and look forward to many returns!
