***When we went looking for a second home in the Rockies, we fell in love with Breckenridge (summer and winter). When we went looking for a home in Breckenridge (and we looked at many, many million dollar homes) we fell in love with this home. It's the perfect set up with TWO true LIVING AREAS (just like we have at home) each with its own brick fireplace, tv's, and nice leather furnishings. Depending on who we took up to the mountains, the kids / our grandparents / our brother's family could have their own space to relax. Instead of a kitchen table crammed into a corner of the great room, we have a nice dining area with a large beautiful french country dining table--with plenty of room to walk around the table. Two banks of large panoramic windows showcase the incredible view from the dining area. The view of the mountains on this website were actually taken from the dining/kitchen area. Incredible.
***We also loved the Interior Jacuzzi Room...yes an actual room with double french doors that open right outside onto a small porch. Wow. No more running outside trying not to freeze your precious parts trying to dump the snow off of the jacuzzi cover so you climb in. Just open the french doors from the lower living area into the jacuzzi room, step into the sunken Jacuzzi for 8, and relax. This is a spectacular luxury..and also has a sauna room for those that want to enjoy the dry heat. All in the privacy of your own home.
***We've tried to include pictures of the bedrooms so that you can see that they've been outfitted with high quality designer furnishings--not your standard, worn out furnishings. When we went looking for a property, I visited many homes where there were exposed bed frames, cheesy artwork, and really worn out cheap couches. This is our true second home, so we wanted something nice that we could show off to our friends and family as well. We think you'll feel at home here too.
***Nice, new, extra large washer and dryer for keeping up with the laundry while you stay.
***Last, but certainly not least, enough hot water to operate four bathrooms.
**SUMMER IS AWESOME! Our kids are having an awesome time up in Breck, biking down to Main Street, playing frisbee, hiking in the National Forest (it's those same ski-in/ski-out ski slopes) and enjoying the weather (about 55 at night and 75 during the day). Of course, there's the Alpine slide, maze, etc on peak 8. Though we've got the playstation here, plus the computer and cable, they have chosen instead to PLAY!! All of the large wood balconies have been awesome too for charcoal grilling (our favorite), sparklers, and enjoying the weather. -As I type, Grandpa is actually in the lower level taking a nap, the five kids are on the upper level playing hide 'n' seek, and I'm on the main level enjoying a light breeze at the kitchen table! Take advantage of the fact thta we're not staying for July 4 week!!
*We've got mountain bikes, so we can talk about including those as well**You can mountain bike right down Peak 9**
ENJOY!

My family and I just stayed at this house. Everything was fantastic and true to the descriptions on the listing. It seems that the concerns from a previous review of 02/02/12 have been addressed. For a large group, the house’s layout helps stay out of each other’s way. The kitchen is pretty well equipped as well. The view from the balcony is so great that I had sit out there while grilling, even with below-zero temperatures. Also, the owner is helpful and responsive. I would definitely recommend this house and plan to go back!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers.

Stayed last weekend and picked it based on the ski-in/ski-out claim. The house is not on the ski run or even near it. To access the run, you'd have to go across the street, through the neighbor's yard, to the back of their property and down a steep, wooded hill. Might be possible to strap on skis once you find level ground and actually lay eyes on the run (if it's even open), but to try to navigate back home, I can't imagine how you'd make it back up the steep, wooded hill with all your gear. That said, the house itself was well appointed and very well laid out for a multi-family visit. There are 3 separate levels and each bedroom has access to its own full bath which is nice. The house was plenty warm and the kitchen had everything we needed. Would suggest the owner leave an "instruction guide" for visitors that explains how to access the ski area, how to use the hot tub and sauna, where to go for groceries, what restaurants are recommeneded in the area, etc. We didn't use the hot tub since it appeared to be un-chlorinated and this was disappointing. May have re-considered if the owner had left some guidance ...Owner response: We apologize for the misunderstanding. We have clarified the listing to make clear the home is in a ski-in ski-out neighborhood. We have also developed an information packet to assist with the ski-in ski-ski out instructions. In addition the hot tub has been remodeled and is maintained weekly. We appreciate the positive feedback on the rest of the house and look forward to future guests!
