Boasting spellbinding views of Tavernier Key and the crystal clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean, we sit on a stunning bonefish flat. You can watch the sea life go by or anglers battling trophy bonefish from the dock or verandah. Your boat will float lazily at the dock with direct access to North America’s only living coral reef. Everglades National Park is only minutes away though Tavernier Creek, which is less than two miles from our dock. The calm yet deep water oceanfront location is unique in the northern Keys. It is truly a boater’s paradise!
TROPICAL SURROUNDINGS
This ideal vacation retreat is fully fenced in, with tropical landscaping. A labor of love, the lush garden is full of exotic flowers and plants such as birds of paradise, bougainvillea, cacti, and ferns. Trees include sea grape, gumbo limbo, as well as date and coconut palms.
KEYS AMBIANCE
Adjacent to the garden is the carport, and covered entrance to our three bedroom home. Recently, the owner lovingly renovated every room with the utmost attention to detail. The interior boasts light-filled spaces and ceiling fans in every room. The colors used throughout are soft and earthy: warm yellows and light tropical greens with clean white trim.
MAHOGANY, LEATHER, AND MARBLE INTERIOR
The interior is elegant in every respect, allowing you to be as intimate or formal as you wish. In the Hemingway tradition, gorgeous hand crafted mahogany and cane Honduran furniture is combined with fine leather seating areas and marble. With an amazing ocean view, the living room’s Italian leather sofa, loveseat, and chair provide an inviting and comfortable place to recap the day. Or, you can listen to the stereo, watch cable TV, or use the DVD and VCR included in the beautiful entertainment unit.
DINE OVERLOOKING THE OCEAN
The Italian dining room offers an over-sized marble table seating eight that acts as a catalyst to after meal conversation. Walk through the sliding glass doors onto to a large deck complete with a large Weber propane grill and cast aluminum table and chairs. You’ll find this a magical place to enjoy morning coffee or sunset cocktails. Large and sunny, the tranquil ambiance of the living and dining area is casual and gently relaxing.
SEE TAVERNIER KEY FROM BED
The oceanfront master bedroom combines a massive four post mahogany bed with an en suite bathroom complete with walk in tile shower. Lie on your new king-size pillow top mattress while gazing at the ocean and Tavernier Key. With the 2 other bedrooms and the full-size sofa bed, accommodations can be provided for up to eight guests.
GOURMET KITCHEN
The fully-equipped gourmet kitchen with wrap-around tile counter includes everything necessary, with a four burner stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator with water and ice in the door, Calphalon stainless steel cookware, Henckels knives, and everything you need to prepare quick snacks, or full dinner parties.
WONDERFUL NATURAL LIGHT
Windows are generous throughout our home, while the tropical tradewinds provide a cooling breeze to be stirred by the four ceiling fans. The entire home was designed for relaxation and entertaining. Watch the moon rise out of the Atlantic Ocean over dinner and create a memory that will last forever. Other amenities include cordless phones, a digital answering machine, an over-sized 50 gallon water heater, and a Sears Elite washer and dryer set.
DOCKSIDE AMENITIES
The dockside entertainment area includes cushioned lounge chairs, and a retractable ladder for swimming or snorkeling in the clean, clear water. A hot and cold water outdoor shower provides a quick rinse off. The entire dock area and front yard are also illuminated, for your evening enjoyment. Lastly, heavy duty adjustable mooring whips are provided for your boat, as is a fish cleaning station, shore power hook up, electrical outlets, and a hose.
