Fripp is a Private, Gated Island and is so relaxing and peaceful. The beach is white and very wide. Wonderful!!
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
Sunrise from our balcony is astounding! Island deer roam around basically unafraid of people or cars. But don't feed them; it's against island policy.

We fell in love with Fripp Island!! This efficiency was very clean. We were not informed that the roof would be replace the Monday and Tuesday of the week we were there, being on the second floor, the noise was pretty bad. The A/C unit went out the next day and half, luckily it was October, but it was still hot, especially the night without air, the owner was very responsive and did have the unit fixed the next day. I think the "club amenities" card should have been explained more throughly,we did not know that meant we could not eat at any restaurant on the island...any meal out had to be at a restaurant off island. If you want a place with outdoor seating w/privacy, this isn't it. The picture of the sunset from the balcony not exacly correct. This is a picture of the sunset from the building balcony, but not this unit. You have to walk down to the end of the second floor balcony to see a view like this.A couple of suggestions would be to add some cookware to the kitchen, nothing but two small pans, no skillet; although the ovenware was excellent. Also, there was not a pitcher for making tea, etc.
Recommended for:Sightseeing.

We stayed June 4-June 11, 2011 for an early 10th anniversary trip. The rental was clean and comfortable and was a wonderful place to come back to after a day of adventures. We spent several days at the beach which is fairly close to the rental. It was a great beach for using floats and inner tubes, the waves weren't real big and floating in the water was relaxing. We also took a road trip to Savannah, GA. and also to Boone Hall Plantation near Charleston. We had lunch one afternoon at Gilligans Oyster Bar in Beaufort which had wonderful seafood. We also went to Boondocks their food was ok. One of our family traditions is to steam blue crabs, while on east coast beach vacations. Gay Seafood had the most wonderful fresh blue crabs ever. So glad I brought my steamer pot from home. It was such a wonderful treat and they were yummy. We had a wonderful time and the studio was very clean and comfortable with all the comforts of home. Thank you so much for keeping the price so affordable. The amenity cards really aren't needed. With some effort there are so many other options than what the amenity cards offer. However if you travel with kids the pools at the Beach Club might be a nice option.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

We stayed for a week at Easter. The studio looks great - updated kitchenette and bathroom, great colors. It is on the upper level which is nice.
