What a nice place to just relax... high at this 22rd floor penthouse, corner apartment just feet from one of the most recognized beaches in the world. This three-building gated complex has on-site pool, tennis, and basketball courts, and a large community area.Security surveillance has been implemented for your well being.

During the months of rental, many folks from the states make this area their winter shelters, and they do enjoy it.

The apartment is very well kept, tastefully decorated in a modern, fresh, and eclectic way, starting with marble floors!!.There is one bedroom with a KING size bed and there is another bedroom with two BUNK beds (ideal for 4 kids) but that sleeps only two adults. There are lots of windows, so watch for your hats! as it is very windy and fresh inside, no mugginess or sticky humidity... just a very cozy, comfortable place to enjoy some quietness, but at the same time all the amenities of being at home. Many times during summer, while at the balcony relaxing you will see seagulls flying so close to you that you can almost touch them. It is because of all the condos in the area this is the closest to the beach of them all. No question about it!! The L-shaped balcony offers the best view of all the apartments in the area, completely non-obstructive, because contrary to 90% of the other units it is a CORNER unit and instead of looking only from the side, ours looks directly to the beach from ANY angle you choose.

The apartment has ALL the amenities you have at home for a relaxing stay. It has been totally redecorated, including brand new split air conditioning units, very silent and efficient. The following are ALL brand new: washer,dryer, refrigerator, flat LCD TV, DVD player, digital cable TV with many HDTV channels, FREE broadband internet!! 24hours 7 days a week, leather sofa, wooden bunk beds, beach chairs, sun umbrella, new wood doors, closets. All cooking and silverware are included and much much more.

The view is just marvelous, and non-obstructive. You will be just a few minutes from the famous El Yunque rain forest, and just a few minutes from the famous El Conquistador Hotel and casino or the Westin Rio Mar Hotel and Casino (both with championship golf courses).Puerto Rico has so much to offer.. Please make sure you plan well ahead before your arrival and you will enjoy it much more.

The Luquillo and Fajardo area has lots of activities to spend your days, including four marinas. Many renters just stay in the area their whole vacation, they just love it here!! Just book a one-day fishing trip. You can get on of the huge Blue Marlins that bring sportsmen to this area every year. Or... take a relaxing Catamaran boat ride to Cayo Icacos (you will not believe the transparent waters).

The Old San Juan area is just 30-40 minutes away and full of sites, museums, and a beautiful Old colonial Spanish traditional architecture and folklore, but of course lots of excellent restaurants, and places to socialize and dance to the Caribbean tunes.

  • We arrived in Luquillo on April 25th for our honeymoon and had a delightful time. Everything we could have ever wanted was in the apartment. The breeze was beautiful and we never once needed to utilize the air conditioning. Finding little 'boogie' boards in the bedroom closet was a pleasant surprise - we spent a lot of time doing our version of surfing while there. We did some scuba diving in Fajardo just a little ways down the road and also found a cute little bakery nearby where we had breakfast sandwiches. The pool was great! Also, the Brass Cactus was a nice place and we ate there a few times. We loved our stay in the penthouse and wish we could have stayed longer.

  • We had a wonderful stay at this property. We were there in May 2009 for our honeymoon and are already trying to plan a return visit! Vanessa was very easy to contact and made the entire reservation process simple. The view from the balcony is amazing, and the breeze when you open up the windows and doors keeps things very comfortable. The beach was fantastic - not too crowded and very clean. We really appreciated the beach towels, chairs, and cooler that were there. The only thing I wish we had known beforehand is that the oven is not a true oven, but a large stove-top unit. Aside from that, the kitchen was well-equipped, and we made use of it. Overall - a fantastic place to stay!

  • The view is breathtaking and the condo was fully equipped and very clean. Luquillo was a very pleasant surprise with of course, a world-class beach, great local restaurants, close to San Juan, the rain forest, golf etc...we are definitely going back!!!! This is a no-brainer.

  • Stayed in first week of Dec 2008- Enjoyed our stay in Vanessa's Penthouse very much. It was well appointed with everything you could think of and very comfortable. We felt very safe with the controlled access in Playa Azul. Security was always present. Ofcourse the best part was The view from the balcony!! It was AMAZING! and It took me maybe one MINTUE to get to the beach! I hope to be back next year. Thanks Vanessa!!

  • We stayed at this condo in Septemeber and loved it. It was recommended to us by my sister who had stayed there with her family in the Spring. It was a very well appointed apartment with all the comforts of home. The view was breathtaking making breakfast outside was our favorite part of the day. The crescent beach is right below and there are pool and beach supplies in the condo to use. It was a lovely place to stay...please take Vanessa's advice and use a GPS to get around with. Never once did we go astray with ours. The condo is close to a Wal-Mart, Walgreens and a grocery store right across the street for everything you need or forgot to bring. Please take time and visit The Cevichi Hut at the Laquillo beach kiosks. We unknowingly "crashed" the owners birthday party and we welcomed as guests and fed! That's friendly Puerto Rico!!! Stay at Vanessa's and come home feeling relaxed!!!

  • If you are contemplating renting an apartment in Puerto Rico I highly recommend this unit. My wife and I have stayed in various condo units across the island, including Playa Azul and have to say that this is the best one that we ever rented. You cannot beat the view. The view alone is priceless. Everything you can possibly think of is in the unit and in fine shape. It is such a convenience to have your own washer and dryer while on vacation. In case you haven't been to Luquillo it is the nicest of the beaches on the north shore of Puerto Rico. The beaches in San Juan, including those in Condado and Isla Verde cannot compare. Yes you do need a car but why wouldn't you want one when there is so much to see on the island.

  • This beach community is a perfect place for the kids, and with all the amenities in great shape, you can sit back, relax and be assured the kids are fine. Extremely romantic, the breeze blowing through the penthouse makes air conditioning almost unnecessary, but it is there if you need it. Don't bring beach towels, basketball, tennis rackets, swim fins, or snorkel, etc. They have got you covered. The space was full of thoughtful little extras. We were travel weary from the long flight and drive and were not looking forward to running out to shop for the kids, but surprise, there was a little something on hand to give us just enough breathing room to catch our breaths. The hostess told me she tried to have a little something for the guests. No promises, but she is a very thoughtful person. Just when we caught our breaths, they were taken away by the shear beauty of the view and the location. Our hostess also helped us navigate our trip, sending us to all the great food and places to be in Puerto Rico. Thanks Vanessa :). I will be back to Puerto Rico, and I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else than at Victor and Vanessa's place. They made us feel like we where visiting family.
