My husband and I rented Vanessa's Penthouse for 10 days. The views are spectacular. You can enjoy the ocean view and the rainforest at the same time. Open the windows and doors to experience the cross ventation, it really keeps the condo cool and comfortable. The penthouse is nicely equipped and decorated. We enjoyed Puerto Rico with day trips to Old San Juan, Ponce, Torro Verde for ziplining (highly recommend them), hiking at El Yunque Rainforest, & kayaking bio-bay. Be sure to visit the Luqillo famous kiosks which are just minutes from the penthouse. Vanessa is very helpful and responds quickly to emails. We would definately recommend Vanessa's Penthouse. Enjoy! We spent a glorious 8 days in Vanessa's condo in August, it was delightful! We especially enjoyed the balcony/patio that wraps around 2 sides of the condo, allowing panoramic views of the ocean, beach, and mountains. We loved enjoying meals on the balcony dining table. The pictures very accurately show the amenities and furnishings. The photos are not able to depict the soothing breezes that flow through the condo constantly. Open as many widows and doors as you like to enjoy! The condo is very clean and comfortable. Enjoy leisure times or action exploring, it is all available near the condo. We recommend it highly!

My wife, daughter (9 yo), and I enjoyed our stay at the apartment although the location provided us with so many opportunities that we failed to make use of all of the amenities that the complex offered. The apartment was well maintained and had the necessary amenities to allow lots of fun on the beach (boogie boards, sand castle stuff, snorkeling stuff, etc). There was also tennis equipment, basketballs, and other outdoor equipment. We would definitely recommend the apartment. As for things to do near the apartment, we enjoyed both the Playa Azul and Luquillo beaches. My daughter especially liked the Luquillo beach because it was so placid. We hiked in the El Yunque Rain Forest on a couple of days (showered in La Mina Falls) and toured old San Juan on another day. We had two all day snorkeling excursions. One on the Erin Go Bragh III and another on the East Island Excursions power catamaran (Culebrita Adventure package). Both outings were extremely enjoyable. On the last night of our stay we we did the Bioluminescent Bay tour offered by East Island Excursions. Swimming in the bay with little lights dancing across our bodies was almost surreal. We highly recommend it.

My husband and three sons (ages 17, 20 and 22) stayed here for a week in August, 2010. It was excellent!! The place looked as good as the pictures show it to be. It was clean, tidy and comfortable. The closets were stocked with beach chairs, tennis balls/rackets, snorkeling equipment, etc. The view of the ocean was priceless. My husband and I spent many hours looking over the balcony at the blue water below. Vanessa was kind, considerate and easy to work with. So glad we chose to stay here. My boys are dreaming of the next vacation we take here :) It was a great location to explore the surrounding areas from ... from the beaches to the rainforest and more. The famous Kiosks are close by and are a fun place to eat. We tried a few and found Kiosk #21 Ay Bonito is the best.

Just returned from our first visit to Puerto rico and Luquillo for Spring Break from Chicago. My husband, two teenagers, and myself. Everything Vanessa said about her condo is true! From the million dollar view, to a well stocked kitchen, the whole crew gives it thumbs up! Location was great. We hiked the rain forest several times, booked a snorkel trip, kayaked the luminescent bay, visited Old San Juan, even rented jet skis and hit a casino! All were close by. Vanessa suggests several restaurants that we enjoyed, and we found several on our own ...so many choices! The beach is steps away and the water clear and comfortable! We enjoyed sunshine and great temps every day! Can you tell we had fun!? Consider yourself lucky for the opportunity to enjoy this lovely place! Deb~ March 2010

We rented this penthouse in November 2009. Appartment is very nice, clean, fully equipped and well kept. The view is amazing! The balcony is so big it could fit our family of three with no problem at all. I found it very relaxing to lay in the lounge chair on the balcony later in the evening and glaze at the stars.The beach next to appartment complex is very nice too and if you wish for a quieter water, the famous Luquillo beach is just 5 minutes away. We had a great time and we definetely recommend this property, and Vanessa and Victor are both great to deal with!

We arrived in Luquillo on April 25th for our honeymoon and had a delightful time. Everything we could have ever wanted was in the apartment. The breeze was beautiful and we never once needed to utilize the air conditioning. Finding little 'boogie' boards in the bedroom closet was a pleasant surprise - we spent a lot of time doing our version of surfing while there. We did some scuba diving in Fajardo just a little ways down the road and also found a cute little bakery nearby where we had breakfast sandwiches. The pool was great! Also, the Brass Cactus was a nice place and we ate there a few times. We loved our stay in the penthouse and wish we could have stayed longer.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. We were there in May 2009 for our honeymoon and are already trying to plan a return visit! Vanessa was very easy to contact and made the entire reservation process simple. The view from the balcony is amazing, and the breeze when you open up the windows and doors keeps things very comfortable. The beach was fantastic - not too crowded and very clean. We really appreciated the beach towels, chairs, and cooler that were there. The only thing I wish we had known beforehand is that the oven is not a true oven, but a large stove-top unit. Aside from that, the kitchen was well-equipped, and we made use of it. Overall - a fantastic place to stay!

Stayed in first week of Dec 2008- Enjoyed our stay in Vanessa's Penthouse very much. It was well appointed with everything you could think of and very comfortable. We felt very safe with the controlled access in Playa Azul. Security was always present. Ofcourse the best part was The view from the balcony!! It was AMAZING! and It took me maybe one MINTUE to get to the beach! I hope to be back next year. Thanks Vanessa!!

We stayed at this condo in Septemeber and loved it. It was recommended to us by my sister who had stayed there with her family in the Spring. It was a very well appointed apartment with all the comforts of home. The view was breathtaking making breakfast outside was our favorite part of the day. The crescent beach is right below and there are pool and beach supplies in the condo to use. It was a lovely place to stay...please take Vanessa's advice and use a GPS to get around with. Never once did we go astray with ours. The condo is close to a Wal-Mart, Walgreens and a grocery store right across the street for everything you need or forgot to bring. Please take time and visit The Cevichi Hut at the Laquillo beach kiosks. We unknowingly "crashed" the owners birthday party and we welcomed as guests and fed! That's friendly Puerto Rico!!! Stay at Vanessa's and come home feeling relaxed!!!

If you are contemplating renting an apartment in Puerto Rico I highly recommend this unit. My wife and I have stayed in various condo units across the island, including Playa Azul and have to say that this is the best one that we ever rented. You cannot beat the view. The view alone is priceless. Everything you can possibly think of is in the unit and in fine shape. It is such a convenience to have your own washer and dryer while on vacation. In case you haven't been to Luquillo it is the nicest of the beaches on the north shore of Puerto Rico. The beaches in San Juan, including those in Condado and Isla Verde cannot compare. Yes you do need a car but why wouldn't you want one when there is so much to see on the island.

This beach community is a perfect place for the kids, and with all the amenities in great shape, you can sit back, relax and be assured the kids are fine. Extremely romantic, the breeze blowing through the penthouse makes air conditioning almost unnecessary, but it is there if you need it. Don't bring beach towels, basketball, tennis rackets, swim fins, or snorkel, etc. They have got you covered. The space was full of thoughtful little extras. We were travel weary from the long flight and drive and were not looking forward to running out to shop for the kids, but surprise, there was a little something on hand to give us just enough breathing room to catch our breaths. The hostess told me she tried to have a little something for the guests. No promises, but she is a very thoughtful person. Just when we caught our breaths, they were taken away by the shear beauty of the view and the location. Our hostess also helped us navigate our trip, sending us to all the great food and places to be in Puerto Rico. Thanks Vanessa :). I will be back to Puerto Rico, and I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else than at Victor and Vanessa's place. They made us feel like we where visiting family.

Our family spent one week in mid June and had a blast! My beloved spouse informed me that the condo keys were on our kitchen counter at home while our plane to Puerto Rico was boarding. Vanessa's son met us at the car rental agency with a spare set of keys. The condo was well equipped, modern, clean and had spectacular views as advertised. Major supermarket and Walgreens across the street made life very easy. Tennis raquets, life-jackets, snorkel gear, beach umbrella/chairs/towels all included. Everything you would need is here. Surprisingly inexpensive for an island. Even gas was cheaper than at home. Local restaurants offered pleasant service and good food. We'll definitely be back. Our children had a great time (ages 14, 7 and 7). Only critique was the pool area had no chaise lounges.

We stayed in this wonderful condo for a week in May, 2008 and could have stayed a month. It's a beautiful location and you have exceptional views from the apartment.We saw the most beautiful sunset ever from the balcony, which is a great place to kick back and enjoy the scenery of all Luquillo. You must have a car to get around but there is much to see and enjoy. The beach is beautiful.The unit is fully loaded with everything you need to make your stay comfortable and they even provide tennis racquets and other sports equipment. I'll be going back hopefully soon.

Our family just returned from staying in this unit for 12 nights. We have visited Puerto Rico 6 times and this is by far the nicest apartment we have ever rented. The unit was very clean and comfortable. The furnishings and the colors are very relaxing and soothing. The master bedroom sleeping was wonderful- every night you can lay in the king size bed and see the ocean and hear the sounds of the surf and the Coquis singing- it's such a peaceful way to fall asleep! The owners have provided everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay. The location is great and the complex is very secure and very well maintained. The views from the apartment are amazing and spending time on the huge balcony is something you will not ever get enough of! As frequent visitors to Puerto Rico I would warmly recommend this apartment to anyone interested- you won't be sorry. The worst thing abut the whole experience is having to leave and return home! We had a blast! The apartment was just as described. The owners are great and the pictures are very accurate. The view from every window was awesome and the views from the balcony were just superb! We would DEFINATELY recommend this apartment to our friends. It had everything you could possibly need and then some. The owners are great to work with and take pride in their property. There were many activities close by. The beach that the property ajoins is gorgeous. Our kids are 7 and 10 and it was just perfect for them. The kids also loved the the rain forest which is only about 10 minutes away. Then if you want to snorkel or sail you are only about 10-15 minutes from Fajardo. We opted to take a ferry out of Fajardo to go to the island of Vieques for a day. We stayed at Amapola Inn and then did a Bio Bay Kayak tour with Aqua Frenzy. This is a MUST do. Everything about this trip was great! Thanks Vanessa!!!! You will need a car but there is a Amigo (grocery) and Walgreens very close by if you forget anything.

My wife and I and our two adult children stayed in Vanessa's penthouse apartment for 6 nights, and could have stayed much longer. It was very well furnished, well taken care of, and absolutely beautiful. While the weather was hot, we opened our windows and the wind kept the apartment cool. The view and the water were just like the pictures. Vanessa was very responsive to questions, and returned our security deposit promptly. This is a great bargain. My only suggestion: give better directions. Turn left from Route 3 just past kilometer 36, then take first left and first right into Playa Azul, Tower 3.

I'm back to work in the cold weather of Buffalo, NY, but I constantly revisit my vacation in Puerto Rico. A totally wonderful vacation where the accommodations were superb. Everything you need is provided. A very clean and well kept condo. The grounds are well maintained and the staff are very friendly, courteous, and helpful. What a glorious view of the ocean! We couldn't get enough of the patio, day and night. The beach is beautiful as well. The location is convenient to many attractions, which we also enjoyed. I highly recomend this condo to all planning to visit Puerto Rico. I know that we will be back. This is a fantastic condo! My family has been coming for 5 years now and we feel it's our home away from home! And Victor and Vanessa always make us feel that way as well. We always know what to expect and they leave little to surprise or want. The condo has all the luxuries of home and more. We have stayed in many rentals and it can be quite expensive to buy all the little things but so much has been thought of here. The location is unbeatable as well, 10 min. from the rain forest, 10 min from the biophosphorecent bay and 5 min from in my opinion one of the most beautiful beaches in Puerto Rico. We just can't say enough about the place!

We have been renting Victor and Vanessas Condo for five to six years now - Every year. We absolutely love the condo and it now feels like a home away from home. This is a fantastic place to vacation! We try to come back year after year, however, many other vacationers are now learning how awsome this condo is! I lived in Puerto Rico for over 10 years, and this condo is by far the nicest, cleanest and best kept place around. The owners are very nice and our only complaint is that it is so hard to find a free weekend here! To anyone considering a trip to Puerto Rico, you could not do any better than this penthouse condominium at Playa Azul. The location and views are fantastic! The condo is beautifully furnished and you will feel like you are at home away from home. The complex is clean, secure and well maintained. It is amazing to rent such a fine place for a bargain price. Luquillo beaches are great and the town is only a short drive from San Juan and even closer to Fajardo, where you have access to snorkeling trips, etc. from a huge marina. There are two resorts very close by with casinos, great restaurants, etc. The condo is so nice, it is relaxing just to pass the day there enjoying the beach, pool and other recreational facilities. The wireless broadband is also a huge plus. We hope to stay here again as it was a great experience.

We really enjoyed our stay in Puerto Rico. The condo was lovely. The view was spectacular. We had everything we needed, the condo was clean and well appointed. Dear future visitors, We chose this apartments among quite a few offers in the same or nearby building and we were lucky to do so. The apartment is just great, it has a superb view, is clean and well-furnished. It gives you a feeling of being on a large luxury cruise boat as it is surrounded by water on 3 sides. The landlords were very helpful and reliable. Coming from Germany and not having been to Puerto Rico yet, and they were as helpful and patient to answer our questions as someone can be. We stayed a fortnight in November 2005, and although the weather was quite hot and humid, it was never sticky in the apartment. We did not use the aircondition and were always well-off. The residence is well-run and nearby quite a few surrounding attractions. However, you need a car. We enjoyed the private uncroweded residence beach, walked to Luquillo beach (a wonderful 1-hour walk), visited the rainforest and drove to Seven Seas Beach quite a few times. Also, we went to Culebra Island which is worthwile a trip. We can strongly recommend this apartment and the landlords as well. Please feel free to contact us for further information/recommendation. My family stayed at this apartment for 2 weeks in August 2005. It is a well kept apartment with a wonderful view. We had a family reunion and it was the first time in 40 years, that my siblings were together again in Luquillo, since our chilhood. I recommend this property highly. My family and I visited Puerto Rico for the first time this past week (April 10-16, 2005) and stayed in Vanessa's condo at Playa Azul. What a wonderful vacation! The condo is lovely and has all the comforts of home (King bed, 4 bunk beds, washer/dryer, dishwasher, etc.). It was exceptionally clean and comfortable and in my opinion, had the best views in the building! Vanessa has been a pleasure to deal with. Her directions were excellent and she even left some snacks waiting for us when we got to the apartment! :) I would highly recommend renting this unit for your next vacation. We're DEFINITELY coming back next year!

I stayed here with my husband and 4 year old son in April 2004, and it was a great home away from home. Nothing fancy, but comfortable and very clean. I loved waking up every morning, and drinking my morning juice with a superb view! Evenings where equally pleasant with the cool breezes. Although only the bedrooms are air conditioned, the cool ocean breezes keep the living area comfortable.

My friend & I had the pleasure of staying in Vanessa's condo from 3/4/05 -3/12/05. Initially I was very hesitant about sending the deposit & payment to someone who I had only spoken w/via email. However, Vanessa provided me w/a reliable reference whom I spoke w/who made me feel more at ease & I decided to go ahead & send the payment to reserve the condo. I am so glad I did! As promised I received the condo key via FedEx about 3 days before we left. Also included in the package were detailed directions to the condo from the airport, a small map & suggestions of things to do while we were there. Her condo is immaculate & she provides you with every possible amenity! There's a DVD player, stereo, tennis, ping-pong & snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, a beach umbrella, beach towels, a small & a large cooler, a dishwasher, washer/dryer, etc. She provides all linens, bath towels, dishes & silverware. There's also a microwave, toaster over & coffe maker. The only thing lacking was a blender, which we bought while we were there & left for future guests. The view from the balcony is absolutely breathtaking! The king size bed is even more comfortable than my own pillow-top mattress. There is AC in both bedrooms but none in the living/dining room. Trust me you don't need it, the tradewinds provide a great breeze. I was never hot or uncomfortable in any part of the condo. The beach is also great, the water is crystal clear & there are several different small reefs to snorkel. There is an olympic sized pool that is very clean & the perfect temperature (& also a kiddie pool). It's open until 9PM & it's a great place to take a dip at night or after a long day at the beach. I don't think my vacation would have been the same if I had stayed aywhere else. In fact we are planning on returning later this year. The pictures Vanessa sent me realy don't do the condo justice, it's so beautiful & much larger than it looks in the pictures. Vanessa is very sweet & helpful. My family stayed in the apartment over Thanksgiving week, 2004. We had a great time. The building is right on the beach. For the first 4 days we were there we were the only people on the beach, and for the last 3 days it was definitely not crowded. We had a great time collecting shells and hermit crabs and playing in the surf. The apartment is relatively simple, but has everything we needed. The views are spectacular. It was raining on other parts of the island while we were there, but it was sunny in Luquillo (maybe due to the rain forest sucking out the moisture?). The decor was simple but tasteful and the condition of everything was excellent. If you're looking for an affordable, nice place in a beautiful setting, but not looking for something fancy or elegant, I would definitely recommend this apartment.
