My girlfriends and I just spent the 1st week of May at Bearadise, and we all loved it. The lay-out is very cool. With a grill and patio out back, and a nice sized deck out front, we were able to enjoy the cool mountain air and beautiful scenery all around. We were very comfortable and well supplied. The beds are firm and I slept great! Special Thank You to Tracy. You're the BEST! Helen is great for shopping, good food, and a good time out on the town. Don't miss out on river tubing! Bearadise ROCKS! Highly recommend!

The cabin was great!! We arrived very late at night but were able to find the cabin with no problem. It was very clean and well maintained. Plenty of towels and other supplies provided. The only thing missing was soap for the shower, so you will probably want to bring a bar or two. The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes, towels, etc. The basement was great and the kids loved the pool table and fooseball. The hot tub was wonderful after a long day of walking in Helen. We actually planned our trip to attend the annual Corvair car show in downtown Helen. It was a lot of fun as well. We will definitely come back to this cabin again in the summer months to enjoy the tubing. Thank you Geoff for the great communication in planning this trip and your prompt responses.

We had excellent communication with the owners before we arrived. We arrived on Friday afternoon after stopping in Cleveland, GA. Easy for the GPS to find. The Bearadise sign at the entrance was a nice touch. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. My wife and I were very pleased by the decor. She really liked the window seat (I've already received the order to build one!). We were in the area to attend a friends wedding. The cabin was very convenient to the wedding location as well as Helen and Cleveland areas. We hiked Anna Ruby Falls, did some mountain biking in Unicoi SP and ate at several nice places. My son beat me soundly in pool and we really enjoyed ourselves and the area. We normally vacation for a week in NC during the summer. We've decided because we had such a nice time, we'll come back to Bearadise this summer! Thank you for the great place to stay!

The chalet was wonderful!!! It was clean, the hot tub was our favorite.....so fun! They really have all that you need! The privacy is amazing....you feel like you're away from everyhing yet close to Helen. All went wonderful except for our Sat. night trip to the ER.....be careful with trying to move the stone bench around the campfire....it was heavy and not in one piece as originally thought. Needless to say, we ended up in the Habersham Hospital (very nice folks) with a broken finger. But even with the finger, our stay was awesome, and we would definitely do it again!!! Recommendations: Hike to Anna Ruby Falls Put Put at Alpine Hot Tub at Night....Turn on the lights...really sets a fun mood! Smores at the firepit Board Games at the Chalet Relax, Relax We tried two restaurants: Old Bavarian Inn and Hosaulhaus...the one on the way out of town. Although the second beat the first, both weren't great.

We made this trip a few days before one of my children left for the Peace Corps for 2 1/2 years. My grown children thoroughly enjoyed the pool table, Foosball table, and the hot tub! Even though it rained most of the weekend we were there, we all enjoyed playing board games, eating home cooked meals, and spending quality time together. We plan on returning!

My family loved the Bearadise Chalet. The owners were very easy to work with and the location is in a very convenient location. There is just enough privacy, but yet it is very close to town and civilization. We would enjoy staying there again. The master bath is fabulous, and we were very excited with how well the satilite and wireless worked. We also had excellent cellphone service. The chalet was very clean, and well maintained. I will recommend this property in the future and already have to several people.

Affordability, location, amenities and spaciousness were TOP-NOTCH. I visited with my family- we BBQ one night on the outside grill, had a fish fry the next night and every night we roasted marshmallows on campfire in the backyard. Very close to Helen and the great waterfalls in the North GA mountains. Look forward to returning!

The cabin was just as described and depicted in the photos! It was very comfortable and cozy. The property surrounding the cabin is beautiful, and allows the quiet seclusion you look for when you stay in a cabin. A group of girlfriends and I went for a wine themed bachelorette weekend. It was a very short drive to downtown Helen, as well as Habersham VIneyards, so there was plenty to do. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect getaway spot in North Georgia.

For anyone who has frequented Helen and knows the downtown traffic woes, Bearadise is in an ideal location. A quick drive into town but not stuck in the middle of traffic. Layout was nice for us. We (the parents) were in the master BR in the loft, my parents (the grandparents) on the main floor, with the kids in the basement BR with the game room. The hot tub is nice - well honestly the whole house is gorgeous! Satellite TV and WiFi thoughout was nice too! The owners are ultra-helpful - when you are Question Queens/Kings like us, that is very nice! The only glitches were minor - all the TV remote batteries were dead but replacements for most of them were on hand. All in all, just a great place to stay! Not related to Bearadise but Helen in general - if you plan to do the tubing, check the water levels first. If the water is low, pass on this - it is WAY too much work! But if you do the tubing, the guide sticks are provided down in the gameroom!

My family and I just returned from a three night stay at Bearadise. We found the cabin to be clean and well stocked. Our teen children loved the pool table in the basement and we all enjoyed the hot tub. The owners were very easy to work with and made sure that we had all the necessary instructions for check in. We would consider this cabin again if traveling to Helen.

The place has everything you need for a great stay. Geoff was wonderful to work with. He made the process of renting his home very easy. We even changed dates on when we could stay, and Geoff made the change effortless. I would definitely stay again!!

My family and I had a wonderful and relaxing time during our stay. I am always a bit nervous that the pictures and description will not be true. This was not the case at all. The house was beautiful and very kid friendly. The outside deck has a beautiful view. Besides the house, the other most important thing that I was worried about was the location of the house. However, it turned out that the house was in a perfect location for what we wanted. It was a five to ten minute drive to everywhere we wanted to go. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone visiting the area. The owners were wonderful and answered all of my questions quickly. I will definitely be back!

Very clean (my first requirement), equipped totally, all you need is food. Warm and comfortable and located near the attractions (forget nasty Helen and go for the outdoors!) Don't forget your hot dogs and marshmallows as the backyard and fire area is great. This cabin is absolutely NOT for anyone wo cannot climb stairs. We loved the hot tub and the great little garden outside the sunroom. It was wonderful to relax after hiking Anna Ruby Falls and other local parks. Thanks to the owners for a nice place.

Myself and 5 others stayed at Bearadise last weekend and had a wonderful, relaxing time! We loved the theme of the cabin, which is covered in bears of all shapes and sizes. The cabin had everything a visitor would need and MORE, from the kitchen to the bathrooms and everything else. The pictures show you exactly what the cabin looks like, and we loved using the hot tub and the grill! Geoff and Melissa were extremely helpful throughout the entire process, and are very quick to respond to email or phone call. We spent most of the day Saturday in Helen, and highly recommend the Habersham Winery, which you pass going into the downtown area. You can do tastings or a tour, and we simply did the tastings and went home with wine we all loved! Bearadise is away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Helen but definitely close enough to make as many trips as you need to. Thanks to Geoff & Melissa again for an enjoyable and relazing weekend! Can't wait to stay there again!

Cabin was great. Beautiful and had everything we needed. Had a great time especially counting all the bears in and out of the cabin. The photos reflected the cabin perfectly. Had rainy weather but enjoyed ourselfves anyway. The bears were a great attraction. They were so cute. We enjoyed walking around town and of course the winery. Then their was the most beautiful waterfall, in fact two of them in the nearby state park. Quite a hike but very worth the effort. Geoff and Melissa were fantastic since we called late to reserve for the following weekend. They were great.....

What a wonderful property. It was everything we expected, and more. The owners description of the property was completely accurate. What you see from the photos is just the way it is when we arrived. The property is very neat and clean. The interior is well furnished and comfortable. The owners were very helpful in answering any questions that we had. The only concern that some people might have is that you have to access the property up a flight of stairs. We will be staying here again, and would recommend it to anyone who wishes to get away from it all.

The house is tastefully decorated, very attractive, and comfortable. The owners have thoughtfully provided most every need for a short, or long stay. The location is nice, and private; away from the bustle of Helen, but close enough to get there in a reasonable amount of time. We enjoyed it. Note: There are lots of stairs, and not handicap, or elderly friendly.

While we were so busy with outside activities (tubing down the river, seeing the waterfalls, shopping, miniature golf, etc.), we always looked forward to returning to this beautiful cabin to just relax on our mini-vacation. With a 6-year-old and 8-year-old along, they absolutely loved the place also and flipping coins as to who gets the top bunk. The beautiful forest surroundings can't be beat, and we even saw a doe walk up to the house while eating breakfast on the back porch. You won't be disappointed by staying at this lovely cabin!

Your chalet was perfect for our 10 Year Anniversay get-a-way and we are already starting to plan a trip back with the entire family. This chalet was exactly as you said it was and is in a great location close to everything and lastly we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else unless it was Free!! As for activities...we did ALOT in the 2 full days we were there. Ziplining, winery, spa, Anna Ruby Falls, hanging out in Helen & Donhalega (sp?), sightseeing all along the the Sautee-Nacoochee Valley. If you like Italian..ask the locals about a little upscale Italian Place (6 tables) on one of the side streets in Helen. Can't recall the name but you will not be disappointed. Trust Us!! Also, the "Back Porch" in Donhalega was very, very good and well worth the 25 minute drive. Thanks Geoff and Melissa for a great place to stay while enjoying all the Area has to offer!!

We had a wonderful time at Bearadise Chalet. We were a last minute renter and Geoff was very accomidating. When we arrived, we found the cabin everything that was advertised. The natural secluded setting was relaxing and refreshing. The bear theme decor was cute. All the activities and attractions were close by and the cabin was easy to find. There were brochures in the cabin and everything we needed to be comfortable. We especially enjoyed the pool table, foosball table and hot tub. The tubing trip down river was fun, I highly recommend you don't miss it.

We had a terrific time at Bearadise Chalet. We stayed three nights and each was as good as the last. The Chalet embraces the Bear Motif to the fullest extent possible and like other past guests we left a bear behind to add to the collection. Our first day we browsed the shops in Helen and planned out the rest of our trip while waiting to check in at 3. After we checked in we took the short drive to Cleveland and stocked up on groceries at Ingles then cooked out and had a relaxing evening in. Day two we tubed the Hooch which was loads of fun. For smaller children I would recommend the shorter 45 minute run but we did the 3 hr tour with our teenagers. Day three we drove to North Carolina and went white water rafting, also a blast! There was so much to do we are already planning a return trip so that we can do the things we didn't do this time. Oh and I forced my three teenaged boys to go to Babyland General in Cleveland on the way home and we named the cabbage patch baby that was born. Best vacation in a long long time, thank you for sharing your cabin with us it will be in our memories for a long time.

We had a wonderful time at Bearadise Chalet. The cabin was lovely. It looks just like the photos. The kitchen was stocked with everything down to measuring cups! The back patio was a wonderful place to sit in the mornings and take in all the plants and trees on the property. We loved the mossy side yard it felt like walking on carpet. There was plenty of room for everyone and my youngest son liked sleeping in the window seat/bed. We would definitely recommend your cabin to our friends. Thank you.

Home for the Holidays! My family stayed in this chalet during the week of New Year's Day, 2009. This is such an enchanting place to create family memories that will last a life-time. The home is immaculately kept. It's decorated with a whimsical bear theme. (How many bears do you count?) So many favorite amenities to mention which include the window seat near the kitchen perfect for curling up with a good book or just watching nature outside; the beautiful stone-tiled master bath; the cozy sunroom with hot tub and tables for two; the quaint stone path to the fire pit with provided marshmallow roasting sticks and the game room complete with pool table and foosball. I would highly recommend this charming place to any friend because it is truly a complete vacation package where you'll never want to leave. Alpine Helen is close by and yet this place is so private. Our second day here, we spotted a wild black bear near some bee hives. However, he didn't stick around long enough for us to take his picture. If you want to take some fun pictures of several kinds of bears, be sure to visit Black Bear Park in Helen. Our stay just may become a family tradition and we hope to return to Bearadise some day soon.

Bearadise is truly paradise! Every couple of years we get together with our friends Brian & Claudia and search for a place to just unwind and be carefree. This is the BEST get together we have found. We spent 4 wonderful nights at this delightful cabin. Geoff & Melissa have created a relaxing and welcoming retreat. It is minutes to all the activities in the area, yet far enough away that you have all the privacy anyone could want. The cabin is so well equipped with something for everyone (I mean that sincerely, from little ones to teenagers to adults -- even those adults who want to be kids again) that you almost don't want to leave. You will not regret booking this cabin -- it is TOPS! Thank you Geoff & Melissa for creating this very special place. If you stay, make sure to read the guestbook :)!

A tip from us to you: Read the Guest Book when you first arrive. There are recommendations for dining and activities, but there is also a little tradition that was begun by some previous guests that really adds charm to the place. We were looking for a cozy mountain retreat to enjoy with our daughter and her family, with activities nearby and things to do if we stayed in. This cabin had it all!

Bearadise Chalet was amazing. We had such a wonderful time. We ride motorcycles and the weather was perfect for riding in the mountains during the day and the hot tub at night. It was sooo quiet and peaceful, just what we were looking for. Came home & told some friends about it and they've already made reservations for January. I recommend that if you want to get away with alone or with your family or friends this is the place to stay..between the hot tub, fire pit area in the upper part of the backyard, pool & fooseball tables in the basement and don't forget beautiful Helen less than 10 minutes down the road...this is the place...no need to look any further!!! Thanks Geoff & Melissa again for sharing your home with us.
