Beaver's Pond Retreat offers 2 private vacation rentals nestled in the woods overlooking a trout fishing pond. There is a stream at the back of the property and the property is beautifully landscaped. It is the perfect location for a small family reunion or group gathering. When both units are rented up to 12 guests can be accommodated. We have a 2 and 3 bedroom available. You can rent the 2 bedrooms from $195 per night.
Each cabin is colorfully decorated with all the amenities of home and more. Fully furnished with kitchens other amenities include hot tubs, fireplaces, jacuzzi tubs, outdoor fire pits, rowboat, fishing poles and a fishing pond with cut throat trout (catch & release).
With trees 140 feet tall they whisper to you in the night, the sunsets are full color, the sights, sounds, and wildlife of the Olympic Peninsula can be viewed from your private hot tub with a full moon coming up over the ridge or enjoying a family camp fire with hot dogs and marshmallows.
Enjoy catching the cut throat trout or rowing the boat around the pond playing captain of the high seas. The Beaches are only a mile away with wonderful Hiking and biking trails available right off the property. Great Kayaking is only minutes away and boats or kayaks can be rented at the local marina to explore all the coves and bays in the area. The local waterfall is a great morning hike followed up with fresh coffee and pastry at a local cafe.
This family retreat features luxury cabins and is ideal for couples looking for that romantic getaway or for families looking to spend quality time together. Enjoy getting out of the city and leave the traffic behind. The beautiful sights and sounds of the Olympic Peninsula have it all, mountains, beaches, streams, wildlife, lakes, museums, art, shopping, music and more. - Amenities
- Linens Provided : All bedding and linens provided. Colorful sheets and Bedspreads. All linens are 400 thread count or more. All mattress's and pillows have full zippered allergen slipcovers.
- Off Street Parking : Each cabin has it's own individual parking area
- Parking for RV/Boat/Trailer : We have ample parking for your boat, trailer, bikes, or even RV rental space for your additional guests. Please inquire about RV size. RV hook ups are water and electric only.
- Gas Fireplace : 2 of our guest cabins have propane fireplaces.
- Wood Fireplace : There is a wood burning fireplace in the combination living room / dining room with a floor to ceiling brick hearth.
- Beds
- Queen Bed : All of our cottages have qwonderful queen beds, they are plush firm and all have a memory pad topper for added comfort. Both of our larger cabins also have a double standard size bed. The mattresses are new and plush firm, very cozy with memory foam and full zippered allergen mattress pads and covers providing a wonderful nights sleep mingled with our fresh mountain and sea air. Only to wake up to the singing of birds and the whisper of the trees.
- Double Bed : Both of our larger cabins also have a double standard size bed, making 2 queens and a double in each of them also providing all the comforts for a great nights sleep.
- Crib : We have pac and play cribs available for your infants and camp beds, blow up mattresses or cots for your older children or extra guests. High chairs are also available, please reserve with your booking. I have one full size crib available for an extra charge.
- Entertainment
- Jetted Tub in Bath : When rented as a 3 bedroom The Master Suite has a Jacuzzi Jetted tub for two in the Bathroom with a pedestal sink and seperate stall shower. Other cabins also have a jacuzzi tub plus the private hot tubs.
- Private Hot Tub : This cabin has a large private hot tub for up to 6 people that sits on a deck under the trees with views overlooking the large back yard and Beaver's Pond also. All of our cabins have private hot tubs except The Master's Suite which features a jacuzzi tub.
- TV (No Cable/Satellite) : There are two color TVS in this cabin. One is in the Living Room and the second is in The Master Suite. Both provide broadcasting from Seattle, Bellingham and Canadian stations and in each cabin a small library of 30 to 50 movies are provided for your enjoyment.

- Music Library : There is a variety of music cd's available in the cottages along with games, reading materials and CD, radio and cassette players.
- Kitchen
- Full Kitchen : The main cabin has two kitchens, a full size kitchen in the main part of the house, fully equipped with all pots, pans, dishes, linens and utensils. There is a stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee pot and many other amenities. There is a nice pass through to the dining area with an extra work area and wine glasses hangers. When rented as a 3 bedroom The Master Suite features a private kitchenette so you can enjoy those midnight snacks or a special breakfast for two in the privacy of your suite or enjoy your morning coffee overlooking the water. All of our cabins have kitchens that are furnished with basic pots pans, dishes etc.
- Cooking Utensils Provided : Pots/ Pans / Dishes / Utensils/ Linens/ a starter supply of liquid dish soap, paper towels etc.
- Refrigerator : The Refrigerator is full size with a top side freezer.
- Dishwasher : Our larger cabins have dishwashers
- Microwave : All of our cabins have microwaves in the kitchens.
- Catering Available : There are five area restaurants and many others within a 10 mile range. Every type of ethnic food is available and wonderful Pacific NW cuisine can be found through out the Peninsula. Several of the Restaurants will cater meals and One local restaurant delivers their full menu to our cabins from 5PM to 9PM every night year round. Catering is available, please inquire
- Outdoor Features
- Charcoal BBQ Grill : Private Texas Style Smoking wood / charcoal Barbecues are at each cabin. Charcoal and lighter fluid are not provided.
- Deck/Patio : Decks and Patios all overlook the beautiful grounds, pond,or streams, all cabins are set up so you can have your own little community if you are a large group and yet private if rented individually.
- View/Location
- Waterfront, not Lake/Oceanfront. Ask for details : Morgan's House overlooks a 1/2 acre Pond and is active with wildlife year round, Ducks, Birds, Chipmunks, Deer, Racoons and Squirrels are abundant. It is stocked with cut throat trout and is catch and release. No license is necessary on the property. A rowboat and poles are provided for your enjoyment.

- Telephone : Local phone service is provided. All cell phones receive good coverage at Beaver's Pond Retreat. Long distance will require a calling card.

There are large yards, walk paths and nature hikes to take around the property with wonderful parks, playgrounds, and hiking trails in the area. The family and things to do for children on the Peninsula is abundant. Please request a list via email.

Year Purchased: 2003
When my husband and I discussed buying this property I said what a beautiful place to bring our grandchildren someday. You could teach them to fish and use the rowboat and I could bake cookies with them in the kitchen. My husband just snorted as we had been awaiting grand children for quite sometime. I told him oh yea of little faith, I believed we would be blessed with grandchildren and bring them here, he did not. That was in June of 2003, in December that year our oldest daughter told us she was expecting. It is now 2010 and we have 8 beautiful grandchildren.
Why the Owner Chose Port Ludlow
I was born and raised in Washington State and spent my childhood on the Hood Canal exploring the Olympic Peninsula and San Juan Islands. It has been a blessing to come back and open a retreat for families and couples to come and experience the same joy and peacefulness of the unspoiled beauty of Olympic Peninsula that I did as a child.

There is a joy in the beauty and peacfulness of the property, it is centrally located and convienient to so much and yet you can forget the rest of the world when you are on the property. The tall trees, and singing birds with the beauty of the pond and landscaping is refreshing.
