Royal Mauian condo description
This unit was just remodeled in August/Sept of 2011 and has central air conditioning,Huge Flat Screen TV in the living room, brand new couch, LCD flat screen TVs in each bedroom, luxury linens, kitchen supplies, and more. Many units at the Royal Mauian have the washer/dryer in the kitchen. When we remodeled in 2011 we moved the washer/dryer into the hallway. You can walk right out to Kamaole Beach Park 1 from the unit or just go to the ocean front pool and relax. Snorkeling is great right in front of the property. You will see a wide variety of reef fish. There are spectacular sandy beaches on each side of the Royal Mauian for swimming as well as boogie/body boarding. Your family can enjoy dinner on the large lanai or sit and watch the sunset while you BBQ on the rooftop lounge. It doesn't get any better than this.
Shopping, entertainment, and dining are in walking distance.
Come and enjoy paradise.

Beyond my high expectatons!
Beyond my high expectatons!
On our 22nd trip to Maui my husband and I brought along our son and his wife along with their two children. The condo was not only delivered as promised but had recently been renovated and had fairly high end finishes which was a nice touch. By far, the best condo we have rented so far and we have stayed at the condos immediately next to this location that provide the same beach access and views. Much to my surprise the kitchen was stocked not only with all of the cookware as most condos are but this was stocked with great cookware which is very unusual and it made cooking much more enjoyable. This along with the rooftop grills (there are 4) were fantastic! If you do take advantage of this amenity you should know they have a full service kitchen for your use (fridge, microwave, sinks and counterpace) while you are grilling. There are also a number of tables and chairs so you can actually dine on the roof while watching the whales and the sunset. AWESOME! The views of the ocean and beach were incredible from the living room, bedroom and the lanai as well. The condo also prepared us for a great day at the beach having enough beach chairs provided for the 6 of us as well as beach mattes, towels, coolers, boogie boards, snorkels, children’s floats, noodles etc. All of our favorite places to eat are across the street starting with the 808 Bistro which has fabulous food and nothing over $8. There is Fred’s Mexican food and Moose McGillicuddys which are also favorites. You also should not miss the Cinnamon/Carmel roll shop next to Whalers General store also across the street. There are no less than 20 locations within 2 blocks for you to catch a bite to eat. also you will find a number of places to shop within 2 blocks as well as places to book activities. We have already told a number of people about this particular condo and have highly recommended it. In my estimation you cannot go wrong booking this unit for your vacation! If you do book any activities while you are in Maui don’t be fooled by the bargain prices. You know the saying that you get what you pay for. If you do a snorkel, dolphin or whale watching trip you should book with Ocean Rafting in Lahinia. They are a bit more money than some of the others but you will have a much better time and a tenth of the people. Also, if you go on one trip with them you can get a discount for others from them. Our own kids did not heed this advice and booked the less expensive trips. Afterwards they decided they n

Great Place to Stay!
Great Place to Stay!
We have stayed at Royal Mauian several times, but never in a 3 bedroom, it was spacious and exactly as described. The bathrooms were a little tight, but the showers were large. The location is great, right between two great swimming beaches, it is so nice not to have to drive to the beach with all the beach toys and such. This unit is on the north side of the building and so it is shaded all day, which is very nice, keeps it cool. The unit is close to the street but is still very quiet, we never had an issue with noise. The pool is small, but even during spring break, was not at all crowded. We watched whales everyday from our lanai, even watched a whale calf being born one late afternoon! There are restaurants, shops, and shave ice right across the street. I would highly recommend this unit, especially for families with children. They had a crib in the closet, a high chair and also a stroller, we had no use for these items, but if you have kids it would great to not have to worry about bringing or renting these things. They do not have keys for the doors, it's a number code, by the time we memorized the code, it was time to go home! I really prefer to have a key, but at least this way, everyone can have access to the unit without having a bunch of keys everywhere.

First the positives: this is a huge unit with plenty of space. The living area is massive. The unit was tidy and very well stocked with toiletries we wouldn't have expected, i.e., full-size shampoo/conditioner, lotions, tons of additional toilet paper. It also comes equipped with two sandchairs, a basket of sand toys, boogie board and cooler. Considering we were traveling with small children, being on the ground floor was fabulous. We could lounge on the lanai and watch them play, without having to have one of us go downstairs with them. Great proximity to the beach, super simple stroll over. Another bonus were the flat screen tvs in all the bedrooms, there was no arguing when it came time to settle down for the night, everyone went to their respective rooms. The person we dealt with in making the arrangements was very accommodating and patient, as we had to change our dates twice, which they did without penalty. Negatives: Bathrooms are a tight squeeze (not a deal breaker). The coffee maker in the kitchen was insanely temperamental and only worked 2 out of the 7 times we tried to use it. Most of the time we walked across the street to get coffee, which was a shame, because the day the coffee maker did work the coffee provided was quite good. The burners on the stove took as long as 15 minutes to warm up. The toaster also only worked if you held down the lever. You should consider providing a skillet and a pan of some sort as there were only pots and sauce pans. Additional trash bags, not a ton, but at least one and hand soap in the kitchen. Not a deal breaker, but the furnishings were also quite dated. The lock on the door to the lanai takes some serious muscle to close as well. Considering the nightly cost, I don't know I would say I felt like it was a good value, particularly with essentials that were not operational. I feel the price is a bit inflated for the overall quality of the unit. I think it has amazing potential, but sadly would likely not recommend currently.

We could not have asked for a more comfortable, clean and well kept unit to spend our week's holiday on Maui. Great beaches right outside the door, excellent snorkelling, easy access to all sorts of activities and the use of the resorts facilities all added up to a great vacation.
