Our group of 4 rented the downstairs unit for 1week. We enjoyed the proximity to the Bay for kayaking and snorkeling. Local area hill running was great. Mrs. Curtis was very helpful in getting us set up with the kitchenware requested. The place was clean with plenty of beach and bathing towels. Would stay here again.

My husband and I recently honeymooned here, and we absolutely loved it! The house is roomy, well-ventilated and clean. We loved all the personal touches, including the towel origami and the colorful coconuts. It was also nice to have a big kitchen and patio to cook in. It looks just as good as it does in the pictures. The house is really close to the bay, which is so peaceful. Stay here when you come to the Big Island. It's beautiful and secluded. We highly recommend it!

In a life of roaming the world, my wife and I have stayed in a hundred guest houses. This is one of the best. Big and comfortable, yet open to the Hawaiian breezes, it is just steps from a little village around an historic bay. We kayaked across the bay with visits from dolphins, whales and a manta ray. There was lots of room for family and friends too. You are going to love this place.

This has been one of the funnest family vacations we've ever been on. We did all kinds of new stuff--kayaking, being one of them--and now we're actually giving advice at the kayak launch area. Swimming with the dolphins will, of course, be our top highlight. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us. Mike, Leslie, Natalie and Taylor Dicou

We all had a great time. It was so nice of you to allow us to stay in your home - and we greatly appreciate all the little things you did just for us before we arrived. My son surfed in your bay, we visited South Point, Hilo, Volcanoes, waterfalls, swam with turtles and lounged at many different beaches. It was such a good time. And we treated your home with care and respect. Thank you so much for opening it up to us. Mahalo!

Here in this tropical sanctuary we celebrated the fullness of life with our closest friends and relatives. We are so grateful to have had this time together and to be filed with the beauty of our surroundings. In the spirit of Hawaiian discovery, a beautiful puppy found us and we are taking our "Hanai" back home. Aloha!

Mahalo nui loa! Fun was had by all: scuba diving at Two-step, snorkeling at Cook Monument, Manini, and the Kealakekua Pier, despite the high surf advisory, kayaking 6/7 days, dolphins one of those days, surfing a Kahalu'u. The list goes on. Our seven-year-old son asked me to write that he would like to buy your beautiful house. A hui ho!!!

Your home is so lovely, so wonderfully decorated and inviting. What a great way to celebrate 29 years together: snorkeling, seeing turtles and dolphins, the flowers of Hawaii, volcanoes and of course, sunsets. Thank you so much!

Thanks for your warm welcome and for sharing Hale Hanai with us. We had a great time snorkeling, kayaking, and enjoying this beautiful place. We had a lot of fun with the geckos. My son held still for a while so they woud jump on him. Mahalo!
