My wife, son and I stayed for a week in July and loved the apartment and its location. The owners and their concierge were all very responsive and helpful when we needed something or had a question. The notebook, which they have written, has great restaurant and activity suggestions, of which there are many within walking distance. The Luxembourg Gardens are fantastic. The neighborhood is somewhat less touristy and crowded than areas closer to the Seine, which we loved about it. We will come back.

My two daughters and I enjoyed this spacious, clean and well stocked flat, with a kitchenette filled with amenities, a large master bed, and a very clean and modern bathroom. The main room /master bedroom was quite large. The pattisserie, super marche and so many other stores were close by. The neighbourhood was very safe. We liked to walk the quartier during the evening hours and sample the energy of the 6th arrondissement. I can't say enough about the location. It was superb. It was walking distance to monteparnasse , the latin quarter, and towards the east side of the Sorbonne, (where we found great and reasonable restaurants! We even walked to St. Michel near the Seine and to Notre Dame. There were several metro lines nearby within a few minutes walk. The RER train from the airport was just a short walk from the Port Royal station. We based our choice of this flat on the reviews here and the close proximity to everything one would want to see and experience in Paris. All of the reviews were spot-on! The owner, Anne- Marie was very attentive. She provided us with very helpful advice. We didn't feel like a customer, rather we were treated like family. When an problem arose, Anne-Marie was attentive and promptly responded in order to ameliorate the concern. We would have no hesitation whatsoever in returning to the flat on our next trip to Paris! I would highly recommend this flat!

We were 2 adults and 2 young children staying at this apartment for 6 nights in August. Yes, all other reviews are accurate. Georgeous apartment, quiet and safe neighbourhood, easily accessable to all sites by walking or metro, plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby frequented by parisiens (not tourist traps), however without question our favourite was the gelati shop on rue Vavin.

Our family of 5 (including 3 young children) had a 4 night stay in this Paris apartment in early August. The apartment was just what we had hoped for and more. Having just arrived from a stay in the relaxing Loire region of Paris, we were greeted with a very quiet, comfortable and well-equiped apartment in Arrondissement 6. After full days of sightseeing it was nice to come "home" to a relaxing place to rest our well-worn feet. The apartment has everything within a short distance including bakeries, restaurants, several Metro stops, and our favourite place, Jardin Du Luxembourg where the kids could enjoy a magical time in the large playground, and we could watch the world go by. Thanks for making our Paris experience a fantastic one!! We will certainly spread the word to our friends and relatives about this apartment.

My family of four stayed here for 4 days in August. The bldg is in a prime spot, very quiet and close to many nice restaurants. One can walk through the Luxembourg Gardens to Notre Dame Cathedral in about 20 minutes and it is a beautiful stroll. The property manager is extremely helpful, and the owners are responsive via e-mail. The layout was perfect and we never felt cramped. You can leave your belongings here and not be concerned, because the suite is accessed through a secure courtyard. We had a very pleasant stay, would definitely book again.

My family and I had a wonderful week here. Our children, ages 7 and 10, loved the Luxembourg Garden playground and begged to go there every day. Anne Marie and John are incredibly helpful, and Anne Marie even organized a taxi for us on our departure date, as we needed to leave very early in the morning. The apartment was the perfect size for a family of four and had everything we needed. The location is terrific. We bought baguettes daily at Patisserie Julien on the corner, and loved walking down Rue Vavin for gelato after our daily visit to the Luxembourg garden. It is very easy to get back and forth to the metro at Rue Notre Dames des Champs or Vavin. This was a wonderful apartment and we thank Anne-Marie and John for being such excellent hosts.

What a tranquil, beautiful gem on a quiet street for a family of 4! We loved this spacious (for Paris!) flat, with kitchenette filled with amenities, large master bed, and very clean bathroom. The main room/master bedrm. was much larger than I expected. The best boulangerie (my favorite), Julien, is down the street, and a classy toy store, 2 chocolatiers, lots of childrens boutiques, and the cozy Italian restaurant (loved by the locals and always crowded) are so close by. We loved the fact the Vavin metro was so close, and loved to explore Rue d. montparnasse for first time. Our FAVE was the proximity to Luxembourg Gardens where our kids could play. That was our draw to this flat, and it was the perfect decision. Other than the rainy weather while we were in Paris, our experience at this flat was perfect. thanks, AnneMarie, for the thoughtful gift basket with wine and chocolate, and coffee. The decor was tasteful. Your service impeccable. We shall return definitely. Thank you for everything!

Let me begin by saying that our Paris experience was incredible! It started with the rental of this wonderful apartment. I cannot express how great Anne-Marie was corresponding back and forth with any questions we may have had. The apartment was very comfortable, clean, and located in a wonderful area of Paris. One does not want for anything from plug converters to a hair dryer to an ironing board and iron! Another fantastic perk to this apartment was the free long distance calls back to the US (provided it was a land line). Our families were thrilled to hear from us each day knowing about our adventures. We saved a lot of money by purchasing many of our meals near by and eating in-house. Access to the metro and bus routes were very close as well as a bank teller machine! It is also a very safe neighborhood as we were 3 ladies traveling alone. Joe, the property manager, is very helpful and will assist in anyway that he can. Before we left, we were already talking about a return trip. I would highly recommend this property to anyone!

My family and I (5) spent 7 nights at this beautiful apartment. It was a tight fit but could not think of stayng anywhere else. Anne-maries touches throughout the apartment make it just the perfect place to stay to enjoy Paris. We were met by Joe the day we arrived (as Anne-Marie was away) and he explained everything we needed to know and that he was available for anything we needed, which was nothing as all the information needed is in the book that has been provided or just explore yourself. This city took our breath away and knowing we had such a beautiful, convenient and easily accessable place to return home to was wonderful. We went almost everywhere on foot however the metro stations are just around the corner and also a wonderful way to get around Paris. The area where the apartment is, well what can I say, fantastic. There is a beautfiul bakery just up the road (yum) a supermarket 50 metres away and just a beautiful community area to stay. There is a pizza (yes pizza) restaurant around the corner it is tiny but truly worth a visit the staff are just wonderful. Thank you so much for such a beautiful place to stay we had the time of our lives in Paris and we will most definately be back to this apartment for sure.

What can I say. I do not have enough words to tell you how amazing this apartment was. Nestled within the streets of Paris, you are located my the wonderful pastry shop, the Crepe Restaurant with Francois, and the Pizza place, plus many more. The metro is right there on the corner with easy access to all of Paris and sights you want to see. The bank is right there to for extra cash if needed. The apartment itself is so beautiful. The beds are so comfortable, and the decor and decorations etc. are amazing. It is so French and fulfills all your needs and wants you might have while visiting this wonderful city. Our trip was made better because of it. We felt safe and secure with the code needed to get in to the main courtyard, and the gardens were so lovely. If you needed anything you could call Joe, however we did not need anything. The kitchen, bathrooms, etc. have all that you need. We loved the books and travel information on the table as you walk in. It would help any new traveler. As we arrived we had a basket of goodies to welcome us. It was so sweet. I would recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to visit Paris for the very first time. Connections to the airports were easy and people were so friendly to us. If we just said Si Vous Plais (not sure about spelling) all the people were so willing to help us in directions, food, etc. Even French dogs are amazing. They do not bark and they wait for their master at the cafe's. The cafe's were wonderful. We tried to see most of the the sights, but would have loved more time in the Louvre. Did make it to Disney Paris too. Had so much fun. The Palace of Versailles and Chateau FountanBleu (spelling again) were amazing. All in all it was magical. Yes, I mean magical. All our love to Marie and John. Christy

We had the great opportunity to visit Paris for a short stay. The accomodations of this lovely apartment were perfect! Close to many markets, shops, cafe's and restaurants. We walked everywhere and it was great! Joe the manager was so welcoming and very helpful. He met us at the apartment, let us leave our luggage early and we hit the city! He was kind and was able to arrange a car to take us to the airport for our departure. All in all we had a wonderful stay and when we return for more adventures in Paris we will certainly rent this great apartment again. We were two couples staying there and it was perfect. Just the right amount of space and the ability for a bit of privacy for each of us.

We stayed here for a week in August. The location was fabulous, close to several metro stations, restaurants and of course the beautiful park. It was also within walking distance of lots of interesting attractions furthermore the area felt very safe and coming home at night was not a problem. The owners were delightful and made the booking process easy. The apartment had everything one needed. We would definetely recommend it and hope to return soon.

We enjoyed our stay very much at the Luxembourg Suite. The Colmey's were a pleasure and made reserving the apartment so easy. It was a very special trip for my 10 year old daughter (being her first trip to Paris) and her 2 grandmothers. The accommodations were perfect. There were plenty of restaurants near by and we also took advantage of preparing a few meals in the apartments well equipped kitchen. The metro & Taxi stop near by made it very easy for us to do tons of sight seeing each day. The last night we dined at the restaurant Chameleon which was absolutely delicious! Don't miss out on the Italian Gelato spot around the corner...best we have ever tasted. We wish we could have stayed longer!

The Luxembourg Suite was as advertised! A charming apartment, well maintained, great location, and delightful owners..a joy to work with! Our 2 weeks there flew by, with daily walks through the Jardin de Luxembourg, easy access to the metro, and excellent restaurants a few steps away. The information booklet in the apartment was thorough and well done..a big help also. We were met at the front gate upon our arrival,( very reassuring ) , and when we needed an extra nite , we fortunately were able to do it. We loved our experience , and we hope to return!! merci, Merci!!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was wonderful for our family (we have 2 small children). Since it was so close to Luxembourg Gardens, we could go to the park every afternoon. The apartment was clean and well-maintained, and is a very short walk from the Vavin Metro stop, so it was easy to get to. There is a market and bakery within a 2 minute walk, so we were able to get groceries very easily. The only issue we had was that the heat was turned off, and it was unseasonably cold for May. Joe, the concierge, did provide us with a space heater. Despite that, I would definitely recommend this suite to anyone.

Anne-Marie and John, I can't say enough about your apartment - and Joe was a great resource and help. The apartment was quite comfortable for four women. We loved the location. The markets were close by and fun to explore. The subway was so convenient! And we felt very safe. Thanks for the "welcoming basket." We enjoyed the wine, chocolate, and other goodies. If I ever get back to Paris, I certainly hope I can stay in your lovely apartment again.

Dear Anne Marie We have arrived home from our European trip and I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed staying in your wonderful apartment in Paris. It was absolutely perfect for our family of four, and the location was great. We really loved the local cafes, boulangeries and shops, as well as the magnificent Luxembourg gardens. We found the apartment to be very spacious and beautifully decorated and maintained, and only wish we could have stayed longer! Paris is a beautiful city and lived up to all our expectations. We voted it our favourite place of our 6 week holiday! We hope to return in the not too distant future, and would definitely choose your apartment again. Best wishes Elena and family Australia

We stayed in this flat last October 2009 . . . it couldn't be more perfect. The location was ideal, close to everything, including parks, shops, groceries and an Erik Kayser boulangerie! We found that everything was "as advertised." Joe, the property manager was excellent in every way. Thanks to Anne-Marie and John. We hope to be back!

John and Anne-Marie: We just wanted to send you a note telling you how much we enjoyed your suite. It made us feel completely at home despite being far far away from home. We absolutely loved the area and everything that Paris had to offer. We found that it was easy to get anywhere we wanted to and all the café's that we could have hoped for. We would absolutely love to come back one day soon, hopefully without the kids and stay for much longer. Best Regards, Terry and Lori

John and Anne-Marie's Luxembourg suite is amazing in every sense of the word - as are they! The suite is absolutely beautiful and truly enchanting. The pictures simply do not capture all of the suites wonderful attributes. The suite is very clean, much more spacious than it appears in the photos, and well equipped with all that you could possibly need and more. The area is terrific - very safe, great restaurants, nightlife, shopping, bakers, butcher, metro, and right around the block to the beautiful Jardin du Luxembourg (a must for relaxing strolls, laying in the grass, and picnics). Parking is also very simple and very close if you choose to rent a car for a couple of days to travel outside Paris as we did. We stayed in a different apartment in Marais for the first half of our trip before moving to John and Anne-Marie's Luxembourg Suite - and I can honestly say my only regret is not staying here in the Luxemboug Suite for the entire time. The Luxembourg Suite, John, and Anne-Marie made our time in Paris so, so, SO much more amazing. John and Anne-Marie are great - truly wonderful people. From the very first moments I spoke with John and Anne-Marie I could tell they were both genuine, kind, and amazing individuals. They took care of us the entire time and made sure we had everything and anything we could possibly need during our stay... including a delicious and simply divine chocolate mousse cake awaiting our arrival on my boyfriends birthday. John and Anne-Marie, a million thanks for everything! We look forward to seeing you again next year and staying in this lovely suite. Sincerely, Jillian and Michael

What a fantastic flat. It was perfect for our family. The kids loved the selection of family DVDs. We had to buy the Scooby Doo movies when we got home. We loved having so many food choices just out our door. From crepes to wonderful pastries, ice cream, cheese and wine shops….we could have stayed within a few block radius and been perfectly happy. Wine in Luxemburg garden made for a great afternoon. Having so many metro stations so close made it so easy to go direct to any sight in Paris or get back from where our day took us. That was a huge help with 3 kids (one being in a stroller). Of our 12 days in Europe, Paris was a favorite for all of us. We will definitely return to Paris with and without the kids and your wonderful flat will be on the top of our list to stay. Merci!

The Colmey flat was clean, quiet, safe, cozy and very Parisien. I loved how the wood floors creaked when I woke in the morning to start my preparations for the day. Best of all was the close proximity to the Luxembourg Gardens and wonderful markets and restaurants. John and Anne-Marie were a phone call away for support, help, and guidance. I could have made this flat my permanent home.

This apartment was wonderful. It is clean and well furnished and the kitchen has everything that you would need to cook at home. There is lots of room. The bathroom was very clean. It is also very quite. The apartment really is close to everything. A cafe and bakery are 1 minute in one direction. A small grocery story is one minute in the other direction. The Jardin de Luxembourg is a great place to walk and run. The subway stops are close and walking is very possible to central Paris - Notre Dame, Latin Quarter, Bon Marche, Louvre, Tour Eiffel - all while shopping on the streets along the way. So many restaurants and cafes within a couple of minutes walk. Joe helped with getting settled and it was great that John called after we arrived. The free long distance calls applies to fixed lines in Canada as well. A great place to stay.

The comments from the previous guests summed it all up: The Luxembourg Suite is a perfect, luxurious and fun place to stay specially for children. The kids absolutely love it. Everything that has importance to children was within walking distance: the great bakeries, the ice cream parlor and the Luxembourg garden. The thoughtful welcoming basket was the personal touch that woved the children. The Guestbook was tremendously helpful. Joe, the manager was efficient, friendly, personable and professional. Our experience at the Suite was so wonderful that the kids did not want to leave! They have already asked if we could come back to the Suite next year. Thank you so much for making my nieces' first French vacation a memorable and perfect one. Hong Nguyen

It was so much nicer than staying in a hotel! The Welcome Book that you prepared was outstanding and full of very helpful information. Who knew that so many excellent restaurants were so close!?! And yes, we had a wonderful time in Paris! If we're ever that way again we will definitely want to book the suite! Please feel free to use us a reference if you like! The flat is immaculate, perfectly situated, well appointed, and tastefully decorated. We really appreciated how quiet it was after a busy day in the city. 03/13/2007 "We had a great time staying in John & Anne-Marie's luxury apartment. Our initial enquiries and subsequent booking were all handled extemely efficiently. The apartment was really superb in every way - exceeding our expectations, and making our stay in Paris very memorable. It certainly beats staying in a hotel room with 3 young children! It was so nice to be greeted by Joe and to be given all of the info we needed. When we arrived there was a lovely 'welcome basket' and gifts for each of the kids. One of my daughters later said "This is the best place we've stayed on holiday!" I just hope they don't start looking for gifts next time we go away!! We only have one reservation in recommending this apartment... maybe it will be booked-up when we want to stay again! Matt & Gina"
