Splendid and private setting right on the Truckee river. The area is beautiful and the kids had a great time playing in and around the river. Overall the experience was very good and the cabin owners were super helpful and easy to work with. Oh, it's worth mentioning this area is probably near heaven for a dog. Thanks for the use of your cabin! We'll be back.

This cabin is a little hidden gem. We couldn't find the address on any GPS or google map. Not a problem though the manager Mark was a cool fellow and he led us to the house. There were plenty of room for the 10 of us plus my dog. Big kitchen, big island, big dinning table for entertaining. Super close to Squaw and not too far from Northstar. We enjoyed the snow on the slopes during the day, cooked and partied at nite. Sweet sweet times. Would come again.

We visited with extended family for two nights during the winter season. Everybody loved the layout of the cabin, very open at the bottom, the kids loved the spiral stairs, adults were happy with the large deck overlooking the river. The kitchen was well stocked, dining table spacious for our large group to play games and eat together. My husband and son went skiing at Squaw, great that it was so close. The rest of us played in the snow, built a fun sled run behind the house and built snowmen. Kitchen was well stocked and perfect for setting out meals, entertaining. Location was ideal for us, we'd love to check this place out in the summer. The owner was very accessible and eager to help out, even calling the day we were leaving to warn us about a storm coming in. Thanks Mark!

The house is simply lovely. It is roomy, well furnished and stocked with games, movies and books. Kitchen has all the amenities. Conveniently located -- close to shopping; close to skiing. Owners were quickly available for questions. The property manager was great to deal with. Coffee was truly delicious. We would love to go back.

Great for families!
Great for families!
Our extended family stayed here over New Year's and had a wonderful time. The property was clean and well-kept, the owner, property manager, and local contact were all friendly and helpful, and the stay was worry-free. The location was terrific for skiing (we skied three different mountains in three days) and it must be lovely in the summer too, with the deck overlooking the river. We would definitely return!

Our family stayed at this cabin for three night this winter, and had a great experience. Having the cabin located just off the 89, about half way between Truckee and Tahoe city with the Squaw valley ski resort ten minutes away was very convenient. We arrived just after a winter storm had blanketed the area, very picturesque especially as seen through the back windows of the cabin which over looks the Truckee river. The cabin itself was nice and clean, with firewood stacked on the back deck for us to get a nice fire going in the stove fireplace. I would definitely recommend this cabin to any group looking to stay somewhere which is very private, but is within easy reach of the amenities the area has to offer. - David C
