Location: Centro, San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Central Mexico, Mexico (Leon Airport "bjx" is 1 1/2 hours from the Casita.)

Accommodations:  Casita, Studio, 1 Bath (Sleeps 2)

Casita Contessa is located behind a security gate and surrounded by vine covered high walls. There is automatic lighting that comes on when approached so that at night your gate is easy to open.

The ceiling fan adds to the ambience that induces sleep. For cool mornings or nights, the fire place has gas logs that ignite with a push of the button.

The bed/sitting room is 13'x20'3". The bathroom is 13'x 5'5".

The maid that will clean the Casita 5 days during the week is very reliable and knows her job. It is expected of the renter to pay her a tip of $100 pesos, $10 USD, a person a week. This is standard for San Miguel. I employ a cook, Scorro Flores, who has been with us for 8 years. Scorro is known through out San Miguel for her cooking abilities and has two diplomas from Flavors of the Sun International Cooking School. You might ask her if she would be interested in praparing small meals for you at your cost.

Both of the gardeners are willing to assit you with any problem that might come up with the Casita or your car. They will be happy to carry your luggage into or out of the Casita.

The barrio where the casita sits was listed in the New York Times as one of the best in San Miguel. As I stated before, Casita Contessa has location, location, location.

  • Twin/Single Bed: THE TWIN BEDS ALSO HAVE NEW MATTRESSES THAT SLEEP VERY WELL.

  • Cable/Satellite TV: THE SATELLITE TV IS FROM THE USA WITH OVER 100 CHANNELS INCLUDING THE NETWORKS,CNN,CNBC,STARS, HBO, ESPN AND SOME SPANISH CHANNELS. IT'S THE SAME AS THE USA. REMOTE CONTROLS. THE MUISC CHANNELS ARE OUTSTANDING.
• Kitchen
  • Full Kitchen: THE APPLIANCES ARE 3 YEARS OLD. ALSO A LARGE BOTTLE OF STERILE WATER IS PROVIDED.
  • Cooking Utensils Provided: THERE ARE PLENTY OF COOKING UTENISLS, POTS AND PANS THAT ARE UP TO DATE AND ALSO CAN BE USED TO SERVE IN. A COFFES POT IS PROVIDED.
  • Refrigerator: THE REFRIGERATOR IS LARGER THAN ONE IN A STUDIO WITH PLENTY OF ROOM TO STORE FOOD IN THE FREEZER ALONG WITH ICE.
