Winter house description
Relax, fish, and swim on your own 'security protected' private island. Located on a five-acre island in Lake Winter near Winter, Wisconsin... Sawyer County... Lake Winter is located in NW Wisconsin and is famous for it's excellent Musky, Walleye, Northern Pike, Pan Fish and Bass fishing.
This (4) bdrm. Cedar Chalet home comes completely furnished with all 'High End' furnishings. Sleeps twelve comfortably in beds and (if need be) up to four more on air mattresses and couches. Comes with your own 'private mainland' parking and you travel approximately one-fourth mile by boat to the island home.
We accept reservations year round for your vacations anytime from May 01 thru Oct. 31st. each year. No maid service. Security deposit is required.. This is a non-smoking facility..Broker/Owned.. 3 night min. stay is required..
Our PEAK SEASON runs from Memorial Day thru Labor Day each year..Our rates are $375 per nite or $2,500.00 per week for up to six people..After six people each additional adult over 12 yrs. old pays an extra $30.00 per nite.. A boat is a must and If you wish to rent our pontoon boat there will be an additional cost of $125 per day or $700 per week or you may bring your own boat if you so desire to alleviate this extra cost..
Our OFF PEAK SEASON runs from May 1st to Mem. Day and then again from after Labor day thru Oct. 31st each year..The rates are lowered to $300 per night for up to six people or $2,000.00 per week.. After six people each additional adult over age 12 pays an extra $30 per day..Our pontoon boat rate is reduced to $75 per day or $500 per week during our 'off peak' seasons..Our Springs are gorgeous and we have some of the most beautiful fall colors in the world for you to enjoy during Sept./Oct..Book your spring and fall vacation now!!
We do not accept credit cards and ask you to either email or call us to make a reservation..A deposit is required to secure your reservation..5.5% sales tax gets added to your total bill..

A great time
A great time
Thanks for letting us stay on your private island, We had a blast. Everything was just as you said and then some,we miss it already . We enjoyed getting together with you, your family & friends at Dix's restaurant the food was great Everyone we have told about the house wants to go, some are planning a trip. We loved playing out in the lake with our dog she also had a great time and came back very tired. We will be back. Thanks again Tim, Lor & Serena

About the owner: My wife Sharron and I finished building our island home in 2005..We've been married for 52 years, raised 5 children and have over 25 grandchildren and great grandchildren..We love our island and are happy to share it with our wonderful guests..
Why the Owner Chose Winter:
We have always loved the peace and serenity of an island.. I personally love to sit on the deck and watch the loons or fish off from the dock to catch a musky or walleye for supper..

When our island is not being rented out to guests our family enjoys using our beautiful island home during the spring, summer and fall seasons.. We are closed during the winter months from Nov. 1st until May 1st..
