  We had a wonderful stay here ,the owner was very easy to work with always answering my emails or calls quickly.Our room was very spacious and well kept and you can't beat having a view of Destin's beautiful beaches. We would love to vist Destin again and would gladly stay in this condo again.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

  As to the other review, I received prompt replies from the owner and was emailed a packet of all the information that we needed (for the unit, storage, directions, etc.), even though we planned a last minute trip. Everything worked in the unit, and there was no sulfur smell to the water. The owner was nice and accomodating--and we got such a great deal. I accidentally overpaid, and the owner was honest enough to email me and also return the extra money along with the deposit. This was our 3rd time to the Luau, and we love it there. The outlet mall is only a couple minutes away, the Baytown Wharf is across the street (if you like that sort of place), the beach is a short walk away, and it's peaceful and quiet there. In short, we plan to return to Luau and this unit as well!

  This was our first time in Sandestin, but I'd have to say it was our last as well. it is very nice resort but we don't play golf and we'd prefer something more secluded. Overall experience staying at this particular condo was excellent. It's large, got some of the Gulf view, owner was very helpful in figuring out where to go and what to do. Walk to the beach is really short, showers all over the place, we were allowed to use the pool which is very nice. We couldn't use the Baytowne Wharf trolley, but we didn't care much, it's a lot more convenient just to drive down there.

  As a frequent visitor to Sandestin, I was very disappointed my recent stay at this unit. It’s my first time at Luau, the owner provide no welcome package to introduce the property. I had to call more than 3 times within the first day just to find out some basic information such as instruction to open storage unit, where the gate card was located, the internet user name and password, etc. Upon arrival, the AC did not work; I had to learn how to reset it over the phone with owner. As soon as my friend and I get to the pool, we were told by the security that we must return to room to get certain bracelets to prove residency of Luau. The water in shower has a strong odor almost like sulfur at hot spring, the owner says the smell is “normal” and will eventually go away, well; it didn’t until the end of second night. One of the perks of staying at Sandestin property is the free shuttle bus that runs all day long through different known visiting sites around the area. My friend and I got stop by the bus driver to get on the shuttle because our owner did not pay amendment fee for this service. I was very shocked; this has never happen to me before! Luckily, I know the area well enough to show my friend a great time as her first visit after all. I learn my lesson; I will definitely research better on my next HOME in the area.
