Ski/Play/Work in our second home! Close enough to walk to the lifts, but without the noise of the center village. The concrete building is well insulated and quiet. The “early adapter” owners purchased a beautiful 46” LCD TV, Playstation 3, and surround sound system that “kids” of all ages will enjoy! After the slopes, re-energize in the lodge hot tub with 2 story floor to ceiling windows (the view without the cold). In the evening, make popcorn , play some games, experience the sharpness of a Blu-ray movie, or work on your skiing technique with instructional videos. Or relax and listen to your Ipod on the surround sound system. If you need to work, there are two well lit working spaces and free DSL. On winter weekends watch the fireworks directly from the sofa. This is a comfortable, functional condo with an excellent location at a great price. From the level of comfort you will see that we spend time here with family/friends during ski season and summer (great biking).
Located at the base of Copper Mountain, next to the stop for the free Summit County shuttle, across the street from the Center Village. Garage parking (1 car-extra parking at North Alpine Lot). Ski locker next to garage. Perfect for families of 4-5 (sleeps 6 max), ~500 ft2 of thoughtfully optimized space.
Sleeping Arrangements: Queen Murphy bed (memory foam topped mattress) folds in seconds and the American Upholstery Queen sofa sleeper is a completely new experience in sofa sleepers-it features a solid wood base under a foam mattress-say goodbye to the bar in the back. A set of bunk beds separate from the main room via a pocket door and make a quite area for children (or adults) to sleep. For younger children there is an Evenflo Babygo Playyard and portable high chair.
Floor Plan: This condo uses space very efficiently-for a comfortable stay. Two comfy living room chairs face the sofa sleeper and rotate for TV watching. The dining room table seats 6 (40” × 60”) or makes a great, well lit work space. The chairs are modern, stackable, ergonomic and comfortable. Breakfast bar with four “zen” bar stools. One full bath with an additional sink area near the bunk beds (turns out to be very useful). A second table can expand for a separate (40”x 40”) working space. (The geek scientist owners routinely combine work and vacation). Two closets and multiple drawers in the condo and a ski locker (near the lobby) for storage. Owners stock kitchen amenities to include items they miss when renting condos including basic condiments. The kitchen, while not the most stylish, works perfectly. We voted for the electronics upgrade rather than kitchen remodel- hence the unit includes: free High Speed Internet (cable or WiFi), 46” Sharp Aquos HD LCD TV, Yamaha YSP3000-surround sound w Ipod dock/charger, Playstation 3 (plays Blu-ray, games, DVD's, and CD's). Games, cards, puzzles, books (all ages), 2 sets of instructional ski videos, Warren Miller videos, >50 other videos: Blu-ray discs, DVD's, VHS tapes (-25 for children), PS3 games, Madden NFL, Formula 1, Motorstorm, Spiderman.
