Wander back in time through the romantic by-ways of Alamos, northernmost silver city of Mexico. Here among its winding cobblestone streets and numerous baroque haciendas sits the beautiful "Casa Hermosa," a truly authentic 18th century colonial mansion totally renovated to the highest standards. Though just a short stroll to the charming plaza and convenient to everything, the house exudes a centuries old peacefulness disturbed only by the splashing of its fountains and the chime of church bells.
Within the vine-covered courtyard bougainvillea petals fall gently into the beautiful 30-foot heated pool and soothing jacuzzi. Magnificent outdoor portals offer wonderful space for al fresco dining and cocktails can be served overlooking the pool in front of a warming fire. For those seeking solitude there is also a centuries old "secret garden" perfect for whiling away the lazy afternoons in the company of a good book.
This luxurious historic residence, furnished with numerous antiques, is completely air conditioned for the summer months and offers a formal living-room, dining room, library, billiard room, kitchen, laundry, and three en suite bedrooms, each equipped with large closets and tiled bathrooms with warming showers, providing total comfort and convenience. Each room, including the kitchen boasts its own fireplace. The huge master bedroom offers two queen-size beds and also includes a small dressing room with cot. The second bedroom offers a further two queen-size beds and the final bedroom is equipped with a king-sized bed.
This delightful hacienda is staffed by a daily housekeeper, six days per week. Julia, will also be happy to cook or shop (at extra cost) should these services be required. There is also an English-speaking manager available in the unlikely event that any problems might arise.
NOTE: Unfortunately, this property is NOT suitable for children.
Amenities include swimming pool, Jacuzzi, eight fireplaces (firewood to be replaced by tenant), pool table, dart board, phone, TV, VCR, DVD, stereo, full kitchen, microwave, blender, Cuisinart, cooking utensils, dishes, flatware, linens, washer and dryer. No smoking indoors!
Activities include hiking, horseback riding, wildlife viewing, biking, fishing, river rafting (in season), birdwatching, and sightseeing.
