My family and I really enjoyed staying at your home during our vacation there a couple weeks ago. It was the most beautiful place to hang out as a family.... it was comfortable and relaxing. There was always something fun to go do - in town or outside by the lake. I loved the options! Thanks for being so easy to work with.
Owner response:Appreciatiate your input and review! Thank you for your referral and taking care of our beautiful home!

The house is fantastic. A bunch of friends and myself went there to celebrate being close to graduation, and had a great time. There were plenty of things to do, sledding on the frozen lake was great, and in case you forgot something you aren't too far from Woodland Park so you can get what you need. The only frustrating thing was getting up the driveway. It was plowed before we got there, but there was still a lot of ice that we needed to clear. To do that we just parked at the base of the driveway and got de-icer out of the garage. This was supplied by them as well as sand in order to make sure that we could get to the house.
Owner response:We always appreciate feed back from our guests. Being on the lake unfortunately allows ice build up in the winter. Thank you again for taking care of our home and hope to see you soon! Cathrine and Dave

owner very good on immediate follow up before renting and during our stay. Many extra amenities with the bonus being free wood for our week stay! Pikes Peak was beautiful with views of wild life daily in the vicinity of this lovely house Wild life Wolf Park along with Garden of the Gods was our favorites. One of our stays that we didn't have to run to a main office and pick up a key!

This home provided our family with a place to gather for Thanksgiving. We hosted 4 generations for dinner. There are two kitchens, tons of counter space and room galore for everyone to sit comfortably. The main kitchen is equipped with EVERYTHING from dishes to crock pots. The home was clean, well maintained, and the owners were available any time we called with a question. Plenty of nice, warm blankets, bedding, towels. Much nicer than other properties we have rented in the past. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a mountain get-away.

One of our favorite group retreats with the kids from Tulsa! The couple of items we forgot were easily attainable at the local store a couple of miles down the road. We were concerned that would be too far out. Rafting was a once in lifetime experience for a couple of the teens, and the beauty of colorado and this area is amazing. Thank you for information on the area, and the big cabin, Tom CCRT

Our group found nothing wrong with your home. Views, clean, washer and dryer on site for the children. We had all the requirements for a wonderful family gathering. Plenty of dishes, pots for lots of food for our group, silverware, plates, etc.....we couldn't get enough of the views. Walked the lake daily and only made it once to the National Forest.

Now I understand why your calender is so full. The house is well maintained, clean and lots, lots of space. Mom and Dad insisted on a fire every night (lots of wood) so we didn't need to buy it like in previous rentals Dad took the kids down daily for fishing in the boat, and Mom and I took off to Cripple Creek twice; no luck, but a great time. Massive home with lots of space for the children to play, and witnessed the deer strolling through every morning. Views were spectacular, and have recommended to friends in Tacoma. We didn't need out of state fishing license nor the poles which was extra pleasant since we flew in to COS. Dad is planning a man retreat next summer!!
Owner response:Thank you so much for your review. Based on some of our renters that have been coming four yrs in a row we are doing something good. Even in the tough economy people are still able to afford a group retreat with our competitive prices and space. And thanks for booking again 2009 summer!!

We get together once a year from Brooklyn College, and have to say that this was a wonderful home and amazing views. Every morning deer, and plenty of space for all. We were close to Cripple Creek, Woodland Park and enjoyed the Air Force Academy. Our week wasn't long enough to see and do everything we wanted, Kitchens had everything that we needed, and the two microwaves assisted in this massive gathering, thanks for sharing your home Cave of the Winds and Garden of the Gods was moving and had hoped to get to the Royal Gorge but ran out of time. Nice layout, accurate property description and customer service exceptional. We will come back with a couple of additional friends, Dale, Steve, Sherri and Brooklyn Group

We timed our trip perfectly - I have never seen the aspen fall colors as magnificent as in the Woodland Park/Divide area the first week of October 2008. The view of Pikes Peak & the aspens took our breath away; especially on the rolling country road between the rental home and Hwy 24. We had 13 in our family and the home was plenty large for all of us. We spotted wildlife from the dining room window nearly every morning - many deer and a beautiful fox. Lots of room outside for the kids to play. My brother-in-law caught two of the largest trout I have ever seen at the subdivision's lake. Fishing is $10/day per person - be prepared to take cash with you to the dock. There is a group of "fish patrol" who will approach you to collect the fee. Cellular phone service at the rental home is practically non-existant. Bring a calling card with you so you can make phone calls using the home's landline. There are lots of interesting tourist attractions within a 30 minute drive. Our 3 and 4 year old nieces & nephew loved the North Pole. Lots of great kid rides with no lines. Overall, a beautiful, clean home with unbeatable views. A great location & value for any family get-together. I've already had one relative request we gather at the same location next year.
Owner response:Glad the family had a wonderful time, and we always strive to maintain a clean and safe enviroment for our guests. The North Pole is a hit for the younger visitors and glad you took advantage of it. Thank you for your review and glad your family will be regular visitors. Dave and Cathy

I was able to stay caught up and not bring my laptop while the family played. Wish we would of had 2 weeks in your home. Maintained, spacious, peaceful, and recommend for groups, families or couples. Like the layout which allowed plenty of space/privacy. Marvelous idea of two kitchens which allowed Dad to retrieve what he needed in the evenings and early hours so we could rest. Far enough to get away, but convenient to major attractions and the fishing was wonderful. Twelve rainbow trout in our group for one day. Thank you for the use of your home, Dwight and Pearl

The setting is beautiful and peaceful; the house is not situated directly on the lake, but is a short walk to the pictured park setting. The number of individual rooms (6) made it really nice for the number of couples we had; however, unless folks enjoy sleeping on couches (not pull-outs) this house really only sleeps 12 most comfortably with 4 additional possible on two queen blow-up mattresses. The upstairs kitchen is huge and easily accommodated our large group. The countryside is very scenic; be prepared to drive at least 1/2 hour to get to any of the tourist attractions. We had a wonderful time. Thanks for allowing us the use of your home!
Owner response:We appreciate all feed back and glad you had made some wonderful memories. The house is considered on the lake when the lot line is 30 ft from the lake. We also provide two additional queen blow ups/single mattress pad which are more comfortable to pull outs. I'm sorry we couldn't earn a 5 star rating but glad you all had a wonderful time, Dave and Cathy

Our dogs had a good time, we also appreciate pet lovers. We saw deer who came very close to the house! There was plenty of room for our family party and for guests to sleep if need be, the downstairs kitchen was great to have.
