- Minimum stay:Contact manager
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:Yes
- Wheel chair accessible:No
Escape to the tranquility of this unique, two bedroom, two bath cabin on a large rushing trout stream (stocked by TVA)! (Sorry, no Smoking inside cabin.)
You can fish for trout, splash in the creek and pan for gold -- all in your own back yard! You will enjoy the sandy walkway along the creek and the shallow 'beach' area where smaller ones can also enjoy the water. Laze away the hours in the hammock under the shade trees or spend time relaxing in the hot tub while enjoying the soothing sounds of the creek. Sit around a camp fire and roast marshmellows over the fire pit by the creek. Top off the day with a close-up view of the heavens (telescope on site). Enjoy a relaxing weekend getaway, a romantic retreat, or a fun-filled, action-packed vacation.
You will be just minutes away from the famous Tellico Mountains and close to both the Ocoee, the Nantahala and the Nottley Rivers and to several major lakes (Lake Chatuge, Lake Hiawasee, Lake Ocoee, Apalachia Lake, and Lake Santeetlah). You'll be able to enjoy Whitewater Rafting, Kayaking, Tubing, Boating, Hiking, several Zip Lines in the area, Horseback Riding, Golf, and World-Class Motorcycling. Be sure to visit the famous John C. Campbell Folk School (weekly events during the Summer), go Antique Shopping or take a trip on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway. You'll be just 2 hours or less from Atlanta GA (world-famous Georgia Acquarium), Chattanooga TN, Knoxville TN, Franklin NC, Ashville NC (Biltmore Estate), Cherokee, NC, (Cherokee Indian Reservation, Museum, Shoping and Casinos), Gatlinburg TN and Pigeon Forge TN (home of Dollywood).
(Need a larger cabin or more than one cabin? Ask about our 'sister cabin', available for special groups and family reunions.)
Our cabin is a great place for a Winter retreat. We get frequent snowfalls (2 to 3 inches) and roads to the cabin are well maintained during the winter months.
Come relax and enjoy -- 'you won't want to go home!'

My husband and I have visited family in this area for many years but this is the first time we’ve decided to rent a cabin. This was the best vacation we have ever had thanks to your little piece of heaven. This place is so cozy and relaxing. Everything we needed was right here, the utensils for marshmallows and hot dogs were lots of fun using! It was my first time ever roasting a hot dog that way. We had lots of fun fishing even though we didn’t catch anything, but we definitely had lots of laughs. We sat by the campfire most every night. It was a wonderful time sitting outside listening to the babbling creek sounds, much different from living outside of Washington DC. We went to Cherokee, Pigeon Forge, Gatlenburg and then each night a few glasses of wine in the hot tub before bed. Thank you for the book of history & activities. (The waterfall was spectacular!) Thanks again. See you next year!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

What an awesome vacation cabin. We spent a great deal of time enjoying everything the cabin had to offer; hot tub, stream and fantastic views. We took a trip to Highlands, Cashiers and Andrews. We saw 4 different waterfalls and had a picnic at Cliffside where my wife went camping as a child. It brought back many fond memories. Our dog Daisy really loved getting in the stream which put a damper on fishing but it was worth it to see her having so much fun. The seasonably cool weather along with the changing colors of the leaves was fantastic. This was a vacation we will long remember. Looking forward to a return trip next year. August 11 – 18, 2012 (Bryan, Cassie, Alex, Katee, Brycen & Joel) Our family had a great time here at the cabin. My sons enjoyed playing in the creek. They spent almost the whole week outside. My daughter and her friend walked to the waterfall it talks about in the blue binder. The rest of us decided to drive up to the waterfall. This week was quite relaxing and we would all love to visit again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Wow! What an amazing week we had in your cabin! Thank you for the most wonderful, relaxing experience. This cabin had everything we could possibly need. It was just like home. We enjoyed the creek and hot tub more than words can say. George caught 3 small trout in the creek. Not big enough to keep . . . but enough to have a good time with. We did a lot of exploring since we were here. We also went white water rafting in the Nantahala River . . . what an AWESOME experience! We went with the “Paddle Inn” company and Mike was our guide . . . he rocked! So if you decide to go, ask for him, tell him we sent you !! We enjoyed the mountains so much. It’s very hard to leave and face the hustle & bustle of everyday life in Florida now. We will be back. That is for certain. Thank you for everything, this was the BEST! Oh, P. S. The beds were cozy!! Hope to see you next year!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

June 23-July 7, 2012 (Steve, Melissa & Dylan) We had a fantastic two weeks at your beautiful cabin! We loved spending time in the creek & hot tub! The cabin had everything we needed. My family enjoyed smores by the camp fire & we even picked blackberries & made your Mom’s cobbler! When we weren’t at the cabin relaxing & enjoying family time we were exploring Murphy. My husband loved the museum. We also visited Gatlinberg, went tubing in Deep Creek, visited Ruby Falls/Rock City and The Lost Sea. One of our favorite spots was Ocoee (one of the sites of the 1996 Olympics). There are great swimming holes – we loved it so much we went 3 times! We have made great memories here. We hope to come back again!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We arrived here on Monday evening after a 12+ hour drive from our homes in Central Arkansas. We have enjoyed so much, the cabin & creek behind it. Our 2 grandsons have played in the creek almost every day. We have traveled to area attractions & had a wonderful visit to each one. The gem mine (near Franklin) was a must see. We mined our own (ore) dirt in buckets & took it to the plume & washed the sapphire stones out of the dirt mix. On the next day we drove to “Field of the Woods” near here. This place has a variety of Biblical material. A large hillside contains the Ten Commandments in 5 foot high letters. There is a replica of Jesus’ tomb. A hillside has scripture on concrete headstones. Another day was spent at Helen, Georgia, a Swiss village type setting with many shops to visit & places to eat food of other countries. On Saturday we visited downtown Murphy. A large flea market was set up & several locations had antique items of interest. The courthouse & the old movie theater were things we viewed. Sunday we were blessed to be able to attend Hanging Dog Baptist Church. The services were uplifting & the people were so friendly. Sadly we will be leaving early Monday morning to return home. This vacation was so much fun that a return trip to this area would be welcome. A very special thanks to our hosts.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Thank you so much for making our annual family vacation so much fun. Every year myself, my husband, our son, our cousin & his wife try to meet up for a vacation. We live in Tampa, FL & they live in Boston so your cabin was the perfect getaway from the hustle & bustle that we are used to. The boys enjoyed fishing & building fires in the fire pit. My 2 year old spent hours throwing rocks into the river! He also loved seeing the cows & donkey across the river. The most memorable moment for us girls was going to the casino & running into Paula Deen! We got signed cook books and a photo! We also spent a day at Dollywood & very much enjoyed the beautiful ride through the Smokey mountains. All of the memories made here will be ones we treasure forever. Everything at the cabin was perfect & we really appreciated the extras like the snacks on the table, the fishing poles, extra flip flops & the cot. It is the little things like that that make the difference between good & great. We would love to come back here again someday. Thank you again.Did you find this review helpful? After three summer visits to the cabin, it was fun to visit in the fall. We loved our long drives looking at the turning leaves, discovering new waterfalls, and yesterday the “Punkin Chunkin Festival.” Thanks Belinda for another great visit.Did you find this review helpful? Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful cabin. We don't want to leave! This has been a peaceful private time for my husband & I to relax and enjoy one anothers company. Sometimes the hustle and bustle of work, kids, everyday stress makes it hard to stop and smell the roses. We have enjoyed our stay more than you could imagine. You thought of everything with the little extras you provide. P.S I didn’t find gold but I am a better fisherman than my husband! HA, HA. The waterfall is a must see!Did you find this review helpful?
