Our family cabin "TAMARACK BAY" is located on the shoreline of LAKE THOMPSON (400 acres) in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. We have recently updated its style in a "Northwoods" theme and have received many compliments from our guests. The well maintained cabin has modern appliances and new or newer furniture. The cabin is about 50 feet away from the lake and beach. The beach is sandy and has a very gradual slope, great for young kids. The location is quiet and secluded yet close to town (2 1/2 miles). The Rhinelander area has many fine family friendly restaurants, grocery stores, and other choices from major department stores to quilting, crafts, and antique stores.

    • Beautiful, very clean cabin on a very nice lake. I like its' proximity to Rhinelander but it is still "away from it all." A loon called to us for two of the three days we were there as well as a few geese. You are very close to the lake which gives you great views. We plan on returning.

    • We thoroughly enjoyed a summer week and our 25th anniversary at this comfortable cabin. Rich and Sue’s cabin has, in our opinion, the best view of Lake Thompson. This is a scenic lake on which to water ski, jet ski, swim, fish or just take a relaxing boat ride. There are plenty of places for long walks. A few miles away is the beginning of a scenic bike trail which wends its way to Minocqua. We look forward to our next visit. Philip and Jamie, Belvidere, Illinois

    • The Longriders Motorcycle Club and friends had an outstanding time on the Fall Ride this year even though the temperature dropped below 40 degrees! The cabin has all the comforts of home and then some. The fireplace was just what we needed at the end of the day. We loved it and will be back next year. Maybe then it will be warm enough to enjoy the fact that the cabin is right on the water next to the beach! See you next year. Courtenay, Joe, Mary, Jeff, Jon & Lisa........
