Comfortable and spacious living room with fireplace includes cable TV with Surround Sound entertainment system, as well as High Speed Wireless Internet accessibility. There is also a second TV with DVD and VCR components to accommodate other interests.
A modern and efficient kitchen provides excellent opportunities for creative culinary efforts, which can be enjoyed in the formal dining room, or in the adjacent sitting room, which includes a breakfast/lunch counter. The floors are slate, tile, and hardwood throughout the house.
The basement includes a pool table and a ping pong table, as well as a dart board.
Situated in a peaceful rural setting, the property provides for ultimate privacy, yet all amenities are easily accessible: Stowe Mountain Resort, Smuggler's Notch and Jay Peak are approximately 30 minutes away; Mad River Glen, Sugarbush, and Burke Mountain are within approximately a one hour drive.
Burlington, Montpelier, St. Johnsbury, St. Albans and the Canadian border are also within an hour's drive.
Opportunities to engage in other outdoor activities, including fishing, hunting, cross country skiing and hiking are available as you step off the deck or are available in close proximity. Green River Reservoir State Park is about three miles from the house as the crow flies; a 3300 acre empoundment in a remote setting; opportunities to fish for bass, pickerel and perch, as well as simply paddling and viewing the spectacular natural surroundings. There are several pairs of nesting loons; enjoy their antics and haunting calls. Moose also provide some interesting distractions from time to time.
