Borne Heaven is a recently renovated Loft in the heart of the old city with an innovative and modern design in the pursuit of cool living, what makes it a perfect santuary and relaxation place.
This beautifully renovated apartment has the advantage of being right in the centre of El Borne, the chic upmarket gothic neighbourhood situated within the old centre of this remarkable city. Comfortably accommodating four to eight people, this
apartment is stylishly designed with a cool, sophisticated look.
The area surrounding the apartment:
This Loft is situated in the heart of the Borne, which is the trendy, upbeat part of the Old Town in Barcelona. It is situated beside the Gothic quarter of Barcelona and is the oldest part of the city and the site chosen by the Romans during the Augustus Empire (27 to 14 B.C.) to found a new colony. The Borne area contains a concentration of medieval Gothic buildings only a few blocks northeast of Las Ramblas. It is an enchanting labyrinth of streets linking with squares, where there are plenty of good bars, fusion and fine-dining restaurants and lots of designer as well as artisan shops and boutiques, such as famous Custo, etc, to browse and wander around. There is also a large public park and zoo within two minutes' walk of the apartment where the spacious, verdant surroundings offers an antidote to the busy streets nearby.
The apartment:
Borne Heaven apartment has a very modern and unique look; it blends the old with the new, such as the exposed original wooden beams in the ceilings with the modern furniture and elements such as metal pipes and glossy, polished floor throughout, making this apartment a wonderful choice for any visitor to Barcelona.Also a unique feature of this apartment has been the use of huge wooden beams coming from one mine that were recycled into headboards.Such elements like the antique restored marble sinks add to the feeling of being in a genuine place, beeing able to integrate original elements from the past, typical of that era.
El Borne is located on the second floor (real fourth floor) of an old and beautiful building with NO elevator. There is a public car park within 30 metres from the apartment should the guest require to park a car.
Having been recently renovated the look is modern and very beautiful.
The Borne Heaven Loft has two bedrooms, the main one has a double bed with an en suite bathroom and is very spacious(25 sqm)
with one glass wall conecting to the livingroom that enhances the sensation of spaciousness; on the other site there is a
balcony overlooking the old town and its railwaystation; the ensuite bathroom consists of bath/shower unit and an antique restored marble sink, the bath comes with jacuzzi style jets and is a real treat for the guest.Plus the closets the guest has a litle desk and armchair to comfortably enjoyy reading.This open plan bath is sorrounded buy stuco walls and has a minimalist look..
The second bedroom has two single beds and also comes with an en suite bathroom, this bathroom comes with shower unit and a marble sink. Both the bedrooms and the bathrooms are chic and modern in style and have enought room to accommadate an extra
single bed for the seventh and eighth guests.
The apartment also has a courtesy bathroom which is funky and art deco in style, decorated with a bright yellow colour on the walls it is a fun feature of the apartment.
The floor throughout the apartment has a polished and glossy look and adds to the sleek look of the apartment.
The living area of this apartment is welcoming and a great place to sit back and relax after trekking around Barcelona city.
Here the guest can avail of the TV, DVD and the stereo. In this area you will also find two comfortable sofas, both of which are individual sofa beds where the fifth and sixth guest can sleep. One of the apartment's nicest features is the use of original catalan mosaic tiling which has been used in the living room to give a unique and distinct look.
The dining area and kitchen are in the same area. In the dining area you will find a large table and chairs for six guests where you can enjoy many a meal cooked in the open plan and modern kitchen. The kitchen has all the appliances necessary to make your stay in this apartment a hassle free one. Guests will find all the usuals, such as toaster, juicer, pots and pans, fridge-freezer, dishwasher,toaster, blender, juicer, kettle and coffee machine and all necessary cooking utensils. .
The apartmet also comes with AC/heat which ensures the guest is as comfortable during the summer months as in the winter months; it also has ADSL (internet) connection for those 'wish you were here...' e-mails or for business purposes.
