A CABIN LIKE NO OTHER!
Come enjoy our little piece of heaven. Once you're here, you'll never want to leave. This easy access, well appointed 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom cabin is located on the banks of the beautiful Toccoa River (a premier trout stream) south of Blue Ridge, Georgia. It is cozy enough for that romantic retreat and spacious enough to exercise the kids. The large yard has plenty of room for football, volleyball, frisbee- name your game! The diversified landscaping allows for shade or sunshine. Perfect picnic spots await you!
The cabin is newly adorned in true rustic cabin décor, providing an inviting atmosphere. There is a sizeable parking area provided, in the event that you are trailoring ATV's to set out riding on the many trails offered in the area, or a boat to head out to fun-filled Lake Blue Ridge where water sports abound.
Walk out the door and you are literally standing at the waters edge. With the yard fronting over 100 feet of the Toccoa, there is an ample, easy access fishing area, including the deck which sits right on the river. Just bring your poles and tackle because the river is stocked regularly with fish right next to the cabin. This cabin is situated by a beautiful bend in the river with the sound of the flowing water as it cascades over the boulders. There is nothing more relaxing than sitting back in the hot tub by the side of the river as it rushes by. The neighboring houses are not right on top of you, so privacy is optimal. If you are more of the adventurous type, you can toss a tube in and float down the river or drop in a kayak, raft or canoe.
At night time enjoy a bonfire in the outdoor pit overlooking the river. Roast marshmallows to your heart's content. On those cold nights, gather indoors in front of the extra large masonry wood burning fireplace and bask in the glow of the fire.
Let the memories you make in this cabin be the vacation you will never forget.*****

The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
We love sitting in or next to the river and floating on the river from a drop off just five minutes away. The fishing is amazing and everyone always loves making s'mores in the evenings. It is very relaxing to sit on the porch with your coffee and start your beautiful day as you listen and watch the amazing river. We love our cabin and know you will, too.

This Northeast Georgia village has a rich history linked to the Cherokee Indians and Indian burial mounds as well as early settlers who arrived to mine for gold and cut virgin timber for a thriving lumber industry in the early 1900s. Helen is a re-creation of an alpine village complete with cobblestone alleys and old-world towers.
Lofty, cool, and breezy the historical stone building housing Mountain Crossings @ Walasi-Yi (prun: Wa La See Yee) was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps beginning in 1934. The facility was completed in 1937, incidentally the same year in which the Appalachian Trail was completed. The A.T. itself passes through the building, marking the only covered portion of the trail's 2100 plus miles.
This 52-acre (210,000 m2) area contains preserved petroglyphs of ancient Native American origin that resemble animal and bird tracks, crosses, circles and human footprints. This is a small corn maze located next to the Choestoe Valley Produce stand. That had several varieties of Jams and Jellies for sale and even some salsas.

My husband and I stayed at this cabin for a week in the Summer of 2009 & a week in the Summer of 2010 with our 2 boys (now 6 & 11). This past Summer we went to a new location in SC - NOT the same at all! We all 4 were very disappointed with our choice to not go to the same area/cabin we had went for the past 2 years. With 2011 coming to an end now we are very excited to book another week of Summer fun at this beautiful cabin in this beautiful location of Blueridge, GA!

Thank you so much for sharing your cabin with us. I can honestly say it was our best vacation ever. We went hiking and fishing everyday. We had a fire going every night in the firering and also in the fireplace. Our boys played airhockey everynight. It was such a peaceful, relaxing vacation. The cabin was well stocked with everything we needed for a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. We will definetely be back, maybe in the Spring this time. Again, thank you so much. We created many memories.

My family and I stayed at this wonderful cabin for a week. We had a great time playing in the creek and exploring the area around. I suggest going to swimming hole and tubing back to the house, we did it everyday! It was nice to sit on a blanket, read a book and simply relax. The owners we very friendly and responded quickly to emails. I highly suggest this cabin!
Owner response:We are so glad you had a good time. We also love the float from Deep Hole park to our cabin. Sometimes, we do the float twice in one day. Thanks for staying with us. We would love it if you choose to rent with us again sometime.

My husband and I took our four grandkids, daughter and daughter-in-law for a three nights stay. As soon as the grandkids walked into the cabin, our seven year old granddaughter said, "this is the best vacation ever!" The river was cold (June) but we loved it anyway. The kids tied tubes together and their grand dad would let them float down the river and pull them back up. They loved it. It was their first fishing experience. Didn't catch any fish, but had fun trying. The cabin was spacious and the porch was wonderful. It came a storm the last night and the rain hitting the metal roof was somethig we hadn't heard in a long time. Loved the hot tub. Great area for roasting hot dogs and making smores. Something our grandchildren had never done. Wonderful, relaxing time. Hope to go back in the Fall when the leaves change.
Owner response:We love it, too! Especially the floating in the river, relaxing in the hot tub, and enjoying smores at the fire pit. Hearing the rain is an added bonus.

My sister and I stayed at this cabin for ten days in March, 2011 - it was GREAT! We have stayed in many places, and this is one of our top two favorite places to stay, we will DEFINITELY be back! The scenery in the area is beautiful, the town Blue Ridge is a great place to visit, shop and eat, we went there almost daily. There is SO much to do in the area, you will never get bored, be sure to see the swinging bridge and the waterfalls...beautiful! The cabin itself was very comfortable, and the locate is perfect. Even though we usually prefer secluded, you never knew you were next to a road, because there is no traffic and the sound of the river is enough to make it peaceful and quiet. The beds and sofa were very comfortable (very important!) and it has all the amenities...if you go, be sure to visit the Black Mountain trout farm, if you dont have any luck fishing in the river :-)

Definitely a "Fisherman's Dream" as my husband caught a 23" trout right in front of the cabin!

Spent a week at the cabin mid-May. The weather was really cold (50-55 degrees) for the first part of the week, but there was plenty to do inside. The cabin was spacious and the kitchen was stocked with everything you could think of for a vacation. Plenty of towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, laundry detergent, etc. Washer and dryer came in really handy, too. It would have been nice to have a dresser in the bedrooms upstairs to unpack your suitcase as the closets were pretty full of owner's personal/cabin items. We would love to return only if the sofa and chair in the living room were replaced. The cushions DO NOT STAY ON. We were forever putting them back and then sliding off when we sat down. (The reason for the "Good", not "Excellent" rating.) Visited the town of Blue Ridge and took the Scenic Railway trip, which we enjoyed. Had a medical emergency on a Sunday with our 3 year-old granddaughter which prompted a visit to the Fannin County Regional Hospital ER. They took excellent care of her there. Thanks to the owners for the emergency information posted on the fridge. All-in-all a great place to get away from it all!
Owner response:Thanks so much for your positive review and we are glad you enjoyed the cabin (especially the well stocked items). We love our view of the river and the sounds of the water. We also enjoy being close to Blue Ridge, nature hikes, water falls, and some great fishing. To address your complaints. We are working on getting additional dressers. We felt that the closets upstairs do have enough room but I would like to add some drawer space in the future. We are also going to purchase a big armoir (to replace the smaller dresser) for the downstairs master which will help with the space. However, there is some closet space and a dresser in this room. Also, the items in the master closet are games (inside and outside games) for renters to use. There are also a few small (for kids) fishing rods there for renters. We worked on the cushions in the living room and I think that they are much improved ( we had made a change that didn't work for your stay). We are sorry for this difficulty. But, we have fixed the cushions and it is working. Thanks again for your review.

We had a GREAT time at this Cabin! My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here and relaxed the days away with fishing, litening and watching the Toccoa River while sitting in the hot tub. We went up to Blue Ridge for the day and did the train ride and came back to the cabin and enjoyed the fireplace and a glass of wine! What a great time! The owners were very accomodating and friendly. I'm sure you will enjoy the peace and quiet that we found while staying here! For restaurants, there is a great Mexican place in Blue Ridge called Monte Alban, Great food. The closest place to get something prepared would be a burger or ice cream at the General Store or at the Coopers Creek store. So plan to prepare your meals at home. We grilled up some of our fresh caught trout and it was great! :-)
