My charming Mexican style home is located in one of the most desirable areas of Ajijic--La Floresta. It's just a short walking distance to everything. Lavander Jacaranda trees abound and it's a safe neighborhood with both Mexican and gringo neighbors. This is the home I have lived in for 11 years so it has everything. Ajijic has one of the world's best climates and is a charming, cobblestoned village on the shores of Lake Chapala.
The master bedroom has an American queen size bed with a walk-in closet and ceiling fan. The master bathroom is steps away and covered in Italian Marble. Two smaller bedrooms, one with a queen-sized bed and the second with a full-sized bed are at the other end of the house. All bedrooms have French doors that open onto a large terrace which contains additional outdoor living and dining rooms.
The large, well-lit office/craft room is where I spend a great deal of my time. An outside patio with fountain makes it a nice space to spend time. The kitchen is open to the living room with a kitchen bar. It has a pantry, modern appliances and all the dishes, silverware, glasses and gadgets you'd have in your own home. A small patio is outside the kitchen and up a few stairs is the laundry room with a half-bath.
Within a 15-minute walk, you are at the main plaza with many international restaurants, shops and the true Mexico. Walk the cobblestone streets, get caught in the local sights and sounds of the village, and enjoy what over 7000 North Americans call home.
Gardener services are included.
My home will be available for rent full-time beginning April 1, 2008. I am building another home and will be moving into it in March 2008. It is about 3 miles away. |
