Located in an elevated position on Barbican Hill the property is a short distance from the bustling seaside port of Looe, one of Cornwall’s most popular seaside destinations. Set in a quieter area of town with ample parking the house has been beautifully renovated by the owners, creating a fresh and welcoming environment either during the summer, when guests can relax in the wonderful cottage garden with patio and barbecue areas, or during the winter, when lucky visitors can nestle in front of the open fire before relaxing with the family in the elegant dining room over a sumptuous meal prepared in the most stunning oak and granite kitchen. Upstairs beautifully appointed bedrooms with TV’s, two of which overlook the garden and have en-suite facilities, ensure a restful night. Furthermore, a delicious Cornish cream tea is provided on arrival to get your holiday off to a great start.
Front door into the entrance hall, with a door leading off to the large lounge, which features parquet flooring and a usable open fireplace. Rugs, two sofas and two armchairs provide comfortable seating with a flat screen TV and DVD for entertainment. On the other side of the hall is the dining room with table and chairs for up to 6 diners with rich oak panelling surrounding another fireplace (not for use). A passageway leads along the back of the house, passing the downstairs shower room with washbasin and WC to the large kitchen/breakfast room. This is equipped with a double oven Aga (for cooking and heating the water), an additional range with 6 ring gas hob and ovens, American style fridge and freezer, washing machine/tumble dryer, dishwasher and microwave. The kitchen also has a breakfast bar as well as table and chairs. Stairs up to the landing and bedroom 1 with king sized bed and en-suite shower room with large shower cubicle, washbasin and WC. Bedroom 2 with two 3’ single beds (can be linked to make another 6’ double) with en-suite shower room with shower cubicle, wash basin and WC. Bedroom 3 with king sized double bed and separate cot room with travel cot. Separate luxury family bathroom with bath, large shower cubicle, double hand basins set in vanity unit, WC and bidet.
Beautiful garden with lawns and borders planted with roses and established flowering shrubs extending in front of the house with a barbecue and patio area to one side, equipped with a round table and seating for 6 plus a charcoal barbecue. Driveway to parking area for up to 3 cars. (Please Note: owners of three bungalows beyond the garden have right of access over drive).
Security deposit: £150 (paid direct to owner)The contract of hire is deemed to have been made once a deposit of one third of the holiday price (or total amount if within 6 weeks of commencement of the holiday) plus a £20.00 booking fee (£12.50 for short breaks) has been paid and confirmation of booking has been dispatched to the guest.
The balance payment is due 6 weeks before the holiday commences, without further demand. If the balance is not received by the date due on the booking confirmation the property will be available for re-booking.
Properties are available for occupation from 3pm (occasionally later) on the first day of the holiday and must be vacated by 10am on the last day.
